He should have gotten a team, Roch knew that. But he still found himself heading through the fog, his guitar at the ready. "AMPHIII!" he bellowed. "DANNYYY!! You guys here?!" He reached up, rubbing his arms as the cold hit him again. He was really starting to hate this place, he thought darkly.

"Jackin' insanity," he muttered. "Shoulda grabbed my coat."

BOSS BATTLE:

It was cold a numbing. The loss of feelings...or of feeling at all. In the fog, it almost seemed like a soft siren's song as she approached, swirling around her...with her.

"Home..." the mermaid shaped fog whispered as it laid its eyes on a certain reaper boil. Another intruder in her home....

The creepy home word was enough to make him attack without thinking--even though his mind was stuck on the sound. He knew that sound--he LOVED that sound--what--

"A--Amphi?" Roch said, a bit too late. His guitar had already hit the creature that had once been his ghoulfriend--was she still his ghoulfriend when she was insanity infected?

Wait, not the time to ask that...

"Amphi, blue eyes, what are you--"

BOSS BATTLE:

The mermaid didn't register the hit, only continuing to stare aimlessly at Roch. Through him even.

The word that had become her chant filtered through again, weak as a whisper as she laid a hand on Roch's cheek...and scraped her hand down...

The touch made him tremble slightly, chilled to the bone yet still wanting to be--then it ripped through him, making him curse. He jerked back, hurt in his silver eyes. "I don't... jackdammit, there's got to be a way--"

He was losing her again. It was right in front of his eyes this time, and somehow--the thought that he had to attack her before she was gone to him made it even worse. But this wasn't Amphi, he, of all people, knew that.

He butted her in the gut with his guitar, shoving her away from him.

BOSS BATTLE:

She did back off when the guitar slammed in her, looking around her as if she was hurt emotionally by the blow.

The only reaction was the room growing colder, the fog encircling the reaper. Home. It beckoned to him with a soft lullaby.

"home, home home home home.".

He hated this. He jackin' hated this. He'd once offered to off her, to put her out of her pain, but that'd been when they were minis and she hadn't been dating him--

Now the only reason he would do it was to save himself. It made him a lousy, lousy boilfriend, and he knew it. "Amphi... y'know I like y'alot, but..." He pulled his guitar strap over his shoulder. "Maybe, j'st for a lil while, we should take a break. Get our heads on straight, y'know?"

And he played his A Chord. And he felt like the lowest of the low when it worked.

The foggy Amphi watched her boilfriend as fog circled around, under him, near him. The lullaby getting stronger, the pull more irrestiable until...

"Leave my Home." The strike was quick and painless...for her..

Note to self, Roch thought as he dissipated, don't try to dump an angry insanity monster. It didn't end pretty.
