About the Olympus Twelve~

The Olympus Twelve are a group of twelve Mega-level Shaman Digimon modeled after the Roman version of the Twelve Olympians, the "Dii Consentes". The Olympus Twelve possess power rivaling that of the Royal Knights, the guardian deities of the Net, and although they defend the same domain, they are enigmatic, shadowy beings who maintain a neutral standpoint towards the incidents that arise within the Digital World.


There are only 8 known Olympians because there are several versions of the Twelve Olympians in Greco-Roman mythology. Tt is not entirely certain which members the remaining three to four Digimon will be based on. According to the classical scheme, the remaining members would be "Jupitermon", "Junomon", "Ceresmon", and "Vestamon". This scheme also has Vesta later giving her seat to Bacchus, so it is possible that "Bacchusmon" could be used in place of "Vestamon". Some schemes also would include "Plutomon", though it is unknown who he would take the place of.

Dianamon, Goddess of the Moon
Dianamon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Diana, the Roman goddess of the moon. One of the "Olympus Twelve", it presides over ice and water, and is able to fight even when its surroundings are below absolute zero. Just as the moon has two sides, light and dark, its personality is of a two-sided nature, and its beauty conceals a terrible power.

Apollomon, God of the Sun
Apollomon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from the mythological Roman god of the sun, Apollo. One of the "Olympus Twelve", it conceals a solar-class flame energy. This energy has a terrible ability to smelt all substances, and its almost heartless fervor and pride are barely restrained.

Vulcanusmon, God of the Forge
Vulcanusmon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Vulcan, the Roman god of fire and smithing. One of the "Olympus Twelve", it is a Digimon god of smithery. Most well-known weapons are the work of Vulcanusmon. It has an artisan's pride and a stubborn personality. It sees through the competence of its clients, and when it feels that they cannot master the weapon are not worthwhile, it will deny the request. When building, it performs with a standard of work corresponding to the other party. Although it's a Digimon that freely manipulates its eight arms and works in silence, it exhibits an artisan's style even in battle. However, Vulcanusmon's own fighting ability is not very great, so it prefers working behind the scenes to fighting in person.

Venusmon, The Goddess of Love
Venusmon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty. One of the "Olympus Twelve", it is a Digimon that is filled with compassion and rules over love. Wherever Venusmon is, beautiful flowers bloom profusely no matter how ruined the soil is, and the land's youthful vigor is revived. It is said that there are many Digimon who serve the pure and beautiful Venusmon. Venusmon can correctly perceive the world with its mind's eye by blindfolding itself, and it isn't taken in by any lie or deception. Furthermore, it restrains its overflowing glamour by concealing its pupils, so it's also a consideration to keep from adding more swooning Digimon. Because it is a Digimon that rules over love, it uses a method of fighting that pacifies the opponent's heart with each gesture.

Merukimon, The Messenger God
Merukimon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Mercury, the Roman god of messengers and thieves. One of the "Olympus Twelve", it is a Digimon god of genius who boasts of being the fastest in the Digital World. It is able to outstrip the fastest runner, becoming impossible to perceive with the naked eye, so it is said that all images of Merukimon in records and documents are just afterimages. It hates to stay in the same place, and as it is always wandering the Digital World, it is surely difficult to encounter. Merukimon excels in Shamanism, and its favorite knife "Aztec" is able to slice through space.

Minervamon, The Goddess of Wisdom
Minervamon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and strategy. One of the "Olympus Twelve", it has the appearance of a maiden warrior wearing snake skin. Though it has an extremely short physique, it possesses superhuman strength it uses to freely wield a greatsword, "Olympia", as large as its own body. It possesses a cheerful personality due to its childlike innocence, but when its emotions become violently unstable, it gets into a bad mood which causes selfish and willful behavior that no one can help it cope with.

Neptunemon, the God of the Seas
Neptunmon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. One of the "Olympus Twelve", it is a Digimon god of the sea which presides over all Aquatic Digimon. Though the Scalemail which covers Neptunemon's body is made of "Chrome Digizoid" converted into the "Blue Digizoid" which excels in agility, it prefers to remove it when possible due to its poor speed in the water. It constructed a castle to reside within, the "Abyss Sanctuary", at the far depths of the sea, so that only those who can withstand the water pressure of the extreme depths may enter.

Marsmon, the God of War
Marsmon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from the mythological Mars, the Roman god of war. One of the "Olympus Twelve", it is a Digimon god of war which has the appearance of a panther-man. Marsmon is familiar with all the ways in the world to fight dirty without weapons, and has absolute confidence in battles with others in the same weight class. It uses basic wrestling techniques, but is fixated on victory and glory, so when push comes to shove it won't hesitate to use concealed weapons like its "Tria Knuckle" or "Metal Cothurnus". However, it exhibits its real power when it uses its bare hands and feet.

Liger and his Merukimon stroll into the mountain with Liger riding on the giant digimon's shoulder. "Ah, it feels great to be home." the giant stops to breath in the mountainous air. "I wonder if my brothers and sisters will come by as well."
