Emily tried to make her uniform look cute with her long pink hair still silky despite insisting it was going to stay pink in two yellow and black ribbons tying her hair in loops. She had joined quidditch in order to be liked more. She felt it sort of worked but she didn't get to play the position she thought she would be better at (she was a first year, though). However, she was pulled onto the first string as a chaser. Sure it was better than being a beater and she did get to work with her teammates a lot more than say a seeker but she really was quite bad at being a chaser. Well Hufflepuffs were more about teamwork and giving a good try than being perfect and being the star. Emily still would have felt better if she was good at the position she played. Her mum's lectures of perfection kept ringing in her ears. She could barely do most magic either in classes. At least she had potions and herbology. Small wins. At this point she even welcomed when her older half-brother Cai invited her to hang out with him or tried tutoring her. Too bad magic was easy for him.

Emily shook her head and looked up in the stands. She knew she had at least one person rooting for her. She never quite understood why Cai was so nice to her. Her mum did destroy his family and for years Emily and Cai were never close thanks to Emily's mum. She supposed some people were just nice. Emily was worried at the moment of not looking a fool in the upcoming game.

If there was one thing Nora needed in this world, it was a nap. Preferably one that lasted three or four days. Instead, she was playing quidditch.

For the past few months, every minute that wasn't spent in class was spent with quidditch or homework or one of her other hundred responsibilities. Yet, she had done this to herself. As such, she didn't expect any pity. All she could do at the moment was put on a smile and play the best game she could muster.

Nora had some good moments during the last game. Though it didn't go splendid for her either, they did come out with a win. Hopefully that streak could continue against Hufflepuff. The badgers were nothing to stick your nose at, Nora knew that much. They were known for being hardworking so chances were she'd be dealing with some tough chasers today. If she could keep the goals from missing their mark then they could have a chance at winning the whole thing, though that would take the stars aligning.

Xiang had gone to the pitch early to enjoy the sunshine. She set everything up, watching as the students rolled in. Once she counted all fourteen players, Xiang whistled and directed the teams to the sky. She released the bludgers and snitch, then grabbed the quaffle. Following that, Xiang took to the sky herself. "My sweet little honey buns, it's game time again! We've got our Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws all ready to go! So now we've got a game to play! Captains ready?

Chasers ready?" Once she had confirmation of both, Xiang threw the quaffle up for the start, then backed up to watch the game play out.

So the game began! Emily frowned as she failed to get the toss up. It was predictable but not something she liked. What if everyone in her house started hating her because she was rubbish at qidditch. She would have to try harder. Pushing her school broom forward (all first years got to own) she reached out in hopes to steal from Everly.
