So, I'm studying Geology. I went to community college for two years to get all the general education courses out of the way because it's cheaper that way. Then I went to a University to start working on my degree. I chose this university because it was close enough to home (an hour drive) so I could go back whenever. Also, my mom got her degree there, so, why not?
Well, they took away the Earth Science department because budgets said "CUT DEPARTMENTS" and the Earth Science department didn't have enough students in it to keep it. Well, I went there for a full year, took stupidly hard classes without the prerequisites because they said I could take them before they stopped offering them. Then, I found out that VITAL classes I needed for the degree weren't ever going to be offered again and I couldn't take them.
So I transferred universities.
Now I'm two hours away from home, in a completely miserable town. However, the teachers are awesome and the department is very active which is awesome.
But now that I'm getting ready to enroll in classes for what I thought was supposed to be my last semester, my transcript is a mess. My classes aren't transferring in correctly, I have to take the prerequisites at the same time as the advanced classes, and the requirements are different here so I need more classes.
So basically, I thought I was going to be done this summer. But I have to stay until next winter.
I JUST WANT TO BE DONE. crying
