The Girl Who Would Be King (Full/Open)

Every so often, once every few thousands of years, there are noticeable difference in species, as evolution continues. After the world was exposed to some strange element sometime in the past, which eventually went away, evolution began taking a strange turn: Superheroes started popping up. And if that wasn't a big enough headache for the people that knew about it, artifacts that had been hushed before were now being used very publicly.

This will focus on six people—three villains, three heroes, all with either power or artifact.


If you get bored of the RP and/or no longer wish to continue, let us know. Get your character to a point where he/she is no longer a major part of the story and we will replace you, you can come back to it later.

This is a continuation or a redone version of the one already out there. As the maker of the old version is the one who quit on us, we decided to just create a new topic.

Name: Lewis Addler

Power: Pictomancy, The Animation and Summoning of Printed Objects (Like trading cards, pictures, drawings, etc.)

Bio: For as long as he could remember, Lewis was able to animate drawings and pictures, but he never really put it to any practical use until he was jumped by bullies in the sixth grade. After that, Lewis began experimenting more with his powers and soon decided to become a superhero, after rigorous physical training of course.

Power: She holds the power of manipulation of rocks. She's able to do it freely, but she chooses to use two rings on each of her index fingers as mediums for this power

Bio: When Giovanna was a little girl, she heard voices that weren't her own. It wasn't schizophrenia, the voices were not within her head. The voices came from beneath her feet, the voices of the Earth. They whispered to her that she has a power hidden within her and that such a power should be used to the protect the innocent.

Artifact: Sword of Michael: The sword glows a red color when evil is near, glowing brighter the closer or more "evil" the soul is. The glow of the sword acts like a poison in some cases, to the point where it can nullify all powers. But if a normal person is cut by the sword they go slowly insane, including Enyo.

Bio: Enyo was often bullied as a child, for various reasons. Normally because she was "weird", but she never thought so. She also had two brothers and a sister. One brother and she would often cause mischief. One day her father brought home a sword for her, and she learned to fight with that, instead of with fists, and she rarely if ever lost against an average opponent. Once super-humans became more frequent, though, she began training more and more frequently, because she knew being a mostly normal human would be a great disadvantage. Over time she learns to fight for "little guy," in general being on the side of good, though she's not happy with being labeled "Good" or "Evil". After some time of living on her own in the city she fell in love with a man, but she has troubles being with him, seeing as he's evil and all.

Other: She hates mythology because her family so closely resembles Hera/Zeus' family. Her family used to joke that they were gods/goddesses and since her early teens she's detested any reference to them.

Name: Lio Tevatanja

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Faction: Villain

Artifact: Using the power gained through years of honing his sword he named Ecl, Lio has gained the ability to control Lightning.

Bio: Lio was born as a usual human child in America. He played games and went to school and had friends. He was a happy child without a care in the world.

When he was only 13 he found a sword that others called the shadowfang blade. However, when Lio placed his hand on the sword he found he had lived a previous life on earth. Previously he had been known as Lanthes, the warrior in red, who's sword fed off the blood of the innocent to bring forth a world in his ideal.

Lio gained all of Lanthes's memories to join with his own. He embraced Lanthes's ideals and desired to go forth and change the world. His first step was to kill all those close to him, for they would only hold him back. After killing all those he loved, his sword fed off of his pain and heartache, making it become a part of him. The sword called him master, but truly, Lio is a slave to the sword.

Lanthes cared only for one thing in his prior life, a woman whom he loved. She was murdered, and the criminals were never punished. From that moment onward he wanted nothing more than to burn the world to the ground and kill off all those that opposed him until he rose so high in power that the world would bow to his wishes and his law would rain supreme.

He died in a war with a woman who claimed to be the reincarnation of his lost love, and before death he vowed that when his soul was reborn unto the earth, it would find his sword which he had placed his powers into, and that his reincarnation would be more powerful than even he was.

Appearance: Lio

Other: The wings on Lio are not real and cannot actually function as wings. They are used more as a shield through his electrical powers. He simply shapes his electricity in the form of wings for it makes others see him as more of a god than a man.

Bio: Once a Russian soldier in the Assasin Faction.
Born in the heart of Moscow, he lost his family at an' early age.
He studied the art of the sword when he was 9, for he wanted to channel his anger an' learn to control it through the art.
When he was 13 he discovered he had the power to control fire, he combined his sword skills an' his abilities to further extend his skills.
He picked up drinking at the age of 16, not being able to handle the lose of his family an' the years of being alone.
He joined the Faction at 18, for he had superior swordsman ship an' his amazing skills.
One day he had an' assassination order come in, not knowing all the details he found out he had to kill a village of women an' children.
Following orders, he completed his mission. But doing so, he went went out of control an' became a murderer.
Now a loner an' drifter, he drowns his days in alcohol an' killing

Appearance: 5'10"
Long black hair, Black trench coat, Carries a long katana in a black sheath.
Carries a bottle of vodka everywhere. Uses a zippo to light his alcohol on fire to control it.

Other: When in battle, he pours vodka on his blade an' lights in on fire, he then uses his pyrokinesis to extend the reach of the blade by 1"ft.
Carries assassin tools inside of his trench coat (short blades, choking wire, smoke bombs, poison)

[Starting new. Cerebral is too close connection with Luci, would be unfair to have her be kinda stuck trying to find out how to work her way back into the story just because Luci left. lolz. She wants to start from scratch, and I changed my powers a little so I dont have to hold the blade to use them. Anyone else who wants to change powers a little, just lemme know. ]

Enyo walked the streets at a steady clip, her mind wandering from one topic to the next. Honestly this town was starting to bore her and she was considering moving somewhere exciting. Rome sounded nice. Maybe somewhere south, like sunny Santa Fe.
The sword was strapped to her side, as it had been for the last 5 years, and the scabbard and hilt hidden slightly in her flowing dress thingy. She wasn't headed anywhere in particular, just walking and almost silently humming "Hall of the Mountain King"

"Your move kid."
An older man was sitting across from Lio in an old coffee shop. A small chess table separated them. The old man was staring intently on both the pieces as Lio, wondering what the plan was.

Lio didn't need to think all too hard on how to win this game. The old man said he was the best around. Yet only 8 turns had passed and already the man had lost 5 of his pieces and Lio had lost none. In three turns it would be checkmate. fifty dollars were on the game. The money was nothing to Lio, but it looked like it would be quite a bit to this man.

Lio lifted his queen to take out another un-defended knight and the old man scratched his head hard. He had to know he lost by now.

"I play the spell card Polymerazation, fusing my 5 dragon monsters together to form the FGD. And since Royal Decree keeps your traps suppressed, I can attack your last monster unopposed!" Lewis called as he called the final attack of the game, winning a local card game tournament. Of course, this was all for the benefit of the public, while the tournament itself wasn't charitable, the rare cards Lewis would win as prizes would help him in his endeavors as a costumed vigilante, so long as no one ratted him out, which Lewis didn't have to worry about, he had very fine control over what he animated. A five headed behemoth raging around the city was definitely not a fun thing to animate into existence.
