Opal sighed, picking up another stick and giving it a soft hurl through the air and into the water. She and Logan had finally made it ashore, only to find the place a total mess. Feeling sad for all the creatures who had to deal with this mess, she decided that Logan and herself would be the unofficial clean - up crew. Pausing to rest her unsteady legs, she turned to where Logan seemed to be lifting a large log up and over into to the giant pile they had going.

Seeing him pushing foward was exactly what she needed. She couldn' rightly let Logan do all the work while she sat on her pale bottom. Wiping away some of her exertion with a soft sigh, she pushed away from the rather large log she had been leaning against, and headed out to look for more debris.

Maybe someone would come along to help them eventually. One could only hope, after all.

Logan gave a mighty sigh as the log landed in the center of the pile they had stacked off the far end of the beach and well away from the water. It just wouldn't do to have the logs freshly stacked only to be freshly washed away by high tide. This was hard work. Not that he would ever actually let on that his back muscles were aching, his knees were weak and a little shakey, and his arms felt like someone had beat them with a iron pole. Nope. He was more likely to beat his chest with a couple of the tiny crabs running around before he even rubbed one of his aching muscles.

Wiping sweat from his brow, he thought about how weird it would have been for him to be doing this exact thing only one year ago. Man, times sure had changed...

Tassos and Prisma strolled calmly towards the shores. They'd survived the storm, now they both agreed that they should clean up where it was necessary. Tassos held an affection of sorts for the beach, loving long walks on them when he felt the desire, and somehow he knew that it wasn't going to be a pretty sight.

"Everything will be alright. You'll see!" came a chipper little giggle beside him. The Faerie he took in under his wing when she showed up at his home a few months before the storm struck. He smiled knowingly to his new friend, but remained silent.

They breached the final hill rise that overlooked the beach and Tassos' face fell with deep heartache. The beach was trashed. Debri was littering almost every inch. It would be a long and arduous task, he knew but-...

"Hey!" Prisma fluttered her wings in excitement. "Look! Over there!"

Tassos' silver gaze flitted to follow where her green eyes had landed and spotted two other Pae'il doing much the same thing he had intended. A soft smile graced his lips and he turned to nod towards Prisma. With this nod, Prisma giggled and fluttered quickly on ahead, waving her arm excitedly.

"Helllooooo!!" she called out, racing towards them. "HEY! Need any help?" She slowed to a stop and hovered where she was for a moment before finally managing to allow sand at her feet. "My friend and I were coming to clean up here! We weren't expecting to see someone else with the same idea!"

Tassos had fluttered up his own wings, skillfully buffering them into flight and following Prisma towards the two new faces. He settled a few feet behind her, appearing shy and thoughtful, but he softly smiled and nodded as he was introduced.

"My name is Prisma!" she chimed, barely giving them a chance to respond. "And this is my friend Tassos! He doesn't speak much." she giggled. "And who might you two be?"

Logan jumped when he heard the little Faerie yelling at him. His first thought went to Opal. Where was Opal? Quickly glancing up and behind him, he saw the surprise on her face. Good. That meant she just as startled as he was by their sudden approach. That cleared up one thing. The next would be a bit trickier...

Closing his eyes for a second, he tired to shut down the alarm and anger that were threatening to sweep him away. He hated this reaction. Always the same, no matter what. Whenever he got startled, the male crap running through him made him wanna fight. Fight or flight was a myth in his book. There was only fight. And it was the answer to damn near everything.

Praying that Opal caught the two intruders before he did, he set down one of the logs he was moving and attempted to see past the red haze that was now swamping his vision.

Opal stood up abruptly, still holding the crab she had been attempting to help back into the ocean. "What on earth...?" she pondered outloud, completely and suddenly puzzled by the sudden arrival of the other two pae'il. She had thought they were alone on a deserted part of this island. After all, Logan and herself had been here for three days and had seen nary a soul.

"Oh shoot! Logan!" she spoke outloud, again more to herself than anyone else. She quickly turned to where her blue companion was standing completely still, almost as though the devil were trying to locate him. Now she was worried about him, if only because Logan was never still, she quickly dropped the crab and began racing toward the inept naiad.

Hoping to forestall any tragedies before they could happen, she began waving her arms at the other pae as she ran in their direction. "Stop. Please stop!" she yelled, hoping they could hear her; considering she was farther up the beach than Logan was at the moment, she wasn't quite sure it would work.
