I'd like to begin RPing Seraphiel! :3

Right now, I'm looking for a filly (while Sera's a foal) and at least one Angeni (at least one female; while Sera's an adolescent or adult) to RP with. owo Most of the plots I have planned out for Sera so far are family RPs, and if it's okay, I'd like to involve non-family (Sera's acquaintances) in a couple of family RPs, too. :3 I haven't started family RPs yet.

I would like more Sera plots <3 Is there some plot of yours that he'd fit into?~ He's stubborn and a neutral-aligned colt. He has a complex where his parentage is concerned (Sera is afraid he'll turn out evil; he doesn't want to be like his dad), and he's a Twisted-foal so his appearance is a bit... out of the ordinary and that makes some Soq unnerved. |D;

General Information
Name: Seraphiel
Birthdate: November 15
Breed: Gen 3 -- Mutant Ceryangenikalona
Temper: Adamantine

Physical Traits

Height & Build: Seraphiel's father's angenikalona blood is strong, and as a result, Seraphiel is an exceptionally large Soquili, not just in height but in size and proportions as a whole. Sera has an average build -- the build of normal Soquili, as opposed to drafts or warhorses -- with legs that have the lean, cervine sleekness of his cerynei mother. He is neither excessively lean nor excessively muscular, and his chest, ribcage, and flanks are large enough to prevent the illusion of a scrawny appearance.

From his mother: While Seraphiel resembles his father more closely than his mother, Seraphiel inherited his body shape as a whole from his mother. He has her cerynei hooves, cerynei ears, and cerynei leg-feathers. He has his mother's muted pink body color and gently wavy hair. The black roses he wears are also from her.

From his father: Seraphiel's father's genes gave him his Siamese-like "point coloration." Sera has his father's pale gray eyes, black hair, and web-like accents. Most obvious of all, Serainherited his father's equally demonic and seraphic wings: all three pairs, lightly feathered, that lost their slight red hue when being passed down, their forbidding spines and spikes tempered by his mother's genes.

Twisted: Unlike either of his parents, Seraphiel bears several pairs of eyes. In addition to his normal eyes, Sera has developed a pair of eyes on his shoulders (one on each side) and a single eye on the peaks of his wings (assuming all of his wings have this trait, he has one eye on each wing -- an additional six). Lastly, as Seraphiel grew into an adult, he grew with a black rose on the crown of his head, and once it bloomed, it revealed another pale eye -- more sensitive to light than any of the others. Seraphiel wears other black roses (from his mother) beside it to aid in disguising its appearance. As long as that eye remains closed, it blends in with Sera's other roses. Sera has limited control over each of his eyes; he can close and open them, but their gazes are fixed. Seraphiel prefers to keep them closed, especially during the daytime, when traveling, or when flying. They are easily irritated with bright light, and flying with his extra pairs of eyes open makes Sera feel dizzy. His eyes are also easily irritated by flecks of dust, dirt, or soil, which can only be prevented by keeping them protected (closed) in the first place.

Getting to Know Him

Personality Summary: If there's one thing that's constant and immovable, it's Sera's stubbornness. This is reflected in his temperament: "adamantine" (diamond-like; in reference to Satan's unbreakable chains and unbreakable angel armor in Paradise Lost). As a foal, while he's still growing up, Sera tends to be a bit selfish and self-serving, as are all young children; I plan for him to grow out of this as he matures. Seraphiel isn't evil, but he is impulsive and emotional, taking all statements by others to heart very seriously while saying (or doing) things he doesn't mean whenever he loses his temper. Seraphiel never feels like he's fully part of something: his appearance sets him apart from the herd and he feels like he doesn't have a family because Messiah isn't the most paternal figure in the world. Sera envies pure angeni and close-knit families because he feels like they have everything he doesn't. As Sera grows into a young adult, he becomes increasingly confused and lonely. He feels like he inherited some "black mark" from his father and this affects his relationships with almost all other Soquili. Sera struggles with self-doubt; he doesn't know if he's "good" or "evil" because he doesn't feel like he is either, but others often treat him like he's rotten and its out of his control. Sera perceives this to be worse than it actually is, because he takes everything to heart and, over time, becomes slightly paranoid. This is also a source of a lot of frustration for Sera; after he realizes that his dad isn't good-hearted, Sera wants to believe that he's not doomed to be a likeness of his dad, but then he does something selfish without meaning to or really thinking about it, and wonders if he really is a bad person. As he grows from a foal to an older adult, Seraphiel will gain confidence in himself, become gentler and learning to be altruistic.

Traits as a Youth: As a foal and a young adult (i.e. before he matures mentally and emotionally), Seraphiel is a conflicted but extremely stubborn individual. He does not know how to reconcile his angeni and kalona blood, and though this was less obvious in his foalhood, it becomes increasingly prominent as he ages. He cannot be easily persuaded or convinced to do things -- not because he has good character and a good sense of judgement, but because he is so fixed and rigid in his ways. It matters not if attempts to persuade him are in his favor or meant to cause harm, Sera wants no part of them and is unwilling to do things for others; this is tied to his then-selfishness and self-centeredness. In his foalhood, this could even be perceived as defiance. He does not understand how to look at situations from perspectives other than his own, and as such, has difficulty believing or accepting opinions that don't match his to the point where he won't even consider them a "valid" point of view. As a result, he will clash with other individuals who are as fixed and rigid as he. For this, Seraphiel may also come across as tyrannical and narrow-minded. At the same time, Sera has poor judgement in the sense that he overlooks (unwittingly or otherwise) negative traits in others. This is not the result of optimism, but poor observational skills, wishful thinking, and inexperience -- topped with a dash of the arrogance that over-confident teenagers usually have. Sera seems to think highly of himself, but for the most part, this is a bluff and facade that he would willingly reveal to no one but family and the closest of friends. His wings and eyes are a source of stress, distress, and insecurity -- there are times where Sera feels ashamed and wants to "wish" them away. In his foalhood, Sera, like all young children, displays sociopathic tendencies. He feels no remorse for upsetting his mom and grandma when wandering away without warning, taking apart the wings of a butterfly to collect them, or accidentally harming (or killing) small animals. In his foalhood, he does not hold other things in high regard, living or inanimate, but makes an exception for roses. He can't bring himself to damage those. (Or perhaps he had a really bad experience when he did? Made someone cry?) Seeing others cry makes him uncomfortable. Sera himself is sensitive and over-emotional, but in his youth, he has no idea how to comfort or support others.

Changes sought through RP: I want Sera to mature. I want him to accept his appearance, even take pride in it. He will learn to put himself in others' hooves and, over time, become an understanding individual. He will develop a willingness and a desire to help others -- because he wants to make others happy and show them the good in himself. Sera grows out of his pessimism, develops much better observational skills, grows responsible, becomes a good judge of character, and grows into a confident, shameless adult. He remains fascinated by the angelic angeni but loses the sense of (temporary) kalona-oriented camaraderie he had felt during the period he was manipulated and transitioning. Unfortunately, he remains stubborn. That's one thing he'll never grow out of. Seraphiel also develops a strong and unyielding sense of loyalty, one to match his stubbornness. He goes from being chaotic neutral to lawful good.

Interests & Lifestyle Details: Sera loves roses. Roses, especially primroses, are special to his mother's side of the family. They were the only things he *wouldn't* damage when he was a destructive foal, because even then he cherished them. Seraphiel used to collect roses. Once he grows into an adult, he cultivates them. Sera also enjoys flying -- he loves it. It was something he rarely did in his youth due to the whole kalona-Messiah-shame issue going on in his head. As a result, he was slow in learning how to use his wings. (Perhaps he needed a teacher?) As a mature adult, Sera spends much of his time flying; he would rather fly than run. Seraphiel spends most of his time in the shade or at the edge of the sea (or other body of water). The sun irritates Sera's pale eyes (even when his extra eyes are closed), so he prefers dim locations and shade (such as that of forests) rather than the unadulterated sun of wide open plains. If he is active in the daytime, it is usually in the forest, or by a body of water. He tends to sleep during the brightest hours of the day (around noon - late afternoon) and the coldest, darkest hours of the night (midnight - shortly before sunrise). As a result, he has a strange sleep schedule. Instead of getting 6-12 hours of solid sleep, he ends up with two extended "naps" over the course of the day. This limits Sera's energy, but he can (and hopefully will) have his lifestyle altered when he is an adult. It could go either way -- he could develop either a diurnal or nocturnal routine. Sera also has a sense of disappointment that he cannot swim because he enjoys the sea. It is tranquil, peaceful, and when he is on the sands surrounded by the hush of waves, the sun does not seem anywhere near as unforgiving to him as it does on the plains. He's not a permanent resident of the shore for one reason only -- he cannot take care of roses in the briny waters.

Breeding Information

Orientation: Heterosexual

Mate: Seraphiel is the sort of Soquili to lifemate. Ideally, when he is ready, this would be the case. Any other situation would result in heartbreak for Sera; even after Sera matures, he is still sensitive, even though he is no longer insecure. Having any sort of "fling" (to the point where Sera gets so involved, there is a breeding) would leave him feeling like he was abandoned, even betrayed and used. I am not averse to Sera developing romantic feelings for a mare, but committing to starting a family with a mare and then separating with her would leave him "crushed," emotionally incapacitated. This is still something I would consider doing -- but it would involve a lot of plotting, a lot of RPing, a decent chunk of time, and the right mare. If this would happen, Seraphiel would tirelessly attempt to bring the "family" back together. If that fails, he would steal away the baskets/foals... and even then, he would never fully be able to let that mare go. It would take time for him to heal and he would proceed with much more caution.

Note: none of the plots I have for Seraphiel at this point in time are meant to result in a breeding, even if he develops romantic feelings. I would like to get most of the plots here finished, first. Ideally, Sera would be a mature adult before any breeding happens. Although, I may consider a "mistake" while Sera is a young adult, with the same caveats as stated above. Learning *not* to feel ashamed about this soft of "fling" would be a hard and time-consuming thing for Sera to do, and he would always feel guilt and remorse after that point... because he wouldn't be in his foals' lives, just like his own father was missing from Sera's foalhood.

Breeding 1 -- not looking
Breeding 2 -- not looking
Breeding 3 -- not looking

A few plot ideas are listed below. Plots in blue are family or herd plots.

General Plots -- all stages of Sera's life

Various meeting Soq: These would be meet-and-greets, I guess. I want Sera to meet a lot of other Soquili and learn about their ways.

Close Friendship: I'd like Sera to develop a close friendship with someone(s) -- he would learn how to trust and confide. Ideally, this (these) would be (a) lifelong friendship(s).

Home Away from Home: I'd like Sera to have a home-away-from-home, a place to go to when he needs a break or retreat for some time -- a place where he feels comfortable and accepted. (IthillĂșn and her family? owo)

Learning to Fly/Mentorship: This is ideally something that would take place in young adult life for Sera. After Sera gets over the whole kalona-shame issue, I want him to start using his wings so he can learn how to fly. (Vixen?)

Expanding on current Interests: I'd like Seraphiel to learn more about his current interests and/or meet other Soq who share them -- spending time on seashores, cultivating plants (especially roses), perhaps flying.

Foal Plots

Beauty and the Beast: Sera meets a pretty young filly (or colt, if Sera's female) who becomes his playmate. Later, he develops a childhood crush on her, only to be snubbed by her family due to his dark coloring and (or) his father's line. Her family cuts off all contact with Sera, prohibiting the two foals from even talking to each other, and Sera loses a friend. He goes to the ladies in his own family (his mother, Florian; his aunt, Briallan; his grandmother, Shoshana), seeking advice and wisdom: why was he treated like this? What can he do? At this point, Sera learns a little of his father, even if not directly told who his father is. Sera puts two and two together and notices that his father is treated with disapproval by some Soquili, and he perceives a stigma on his father's line. Ultimately, he and his family are unable to do anything to convince his friend's parents that he is a suitable companion for their daughter, and he loses touch with the filly.

Black Sheep: After the incident with his filly-friend, Sera views his parentage with a new perspective. He becomes a little paranoid about how other Soquili treat him, and mentally questions if he is being judged for everything he does in and out of the herd. He seeks support from his siblings and asks them how they feel they are being treated, and if they feel the same doubts that he does. This can go either way, depending on how his brother(s)/sister(s) feel. If they don't share Seraphiel's fears, Seraphiel will begin to feel isolated and will start becoming secretive; he will feel alone and wonder, "Why me?" If Sera's siblings do share his fears, they may decide to have a family discussion with their mother.

Born on a Bed of Roses (the Primrose Path): Sera becomes frustrated and begins developing a guilt complex over his blood relationship to his father. To compensate, he throws himself into his mother's family line deeper than ever before, developing an insatiable desire to intimately know their history. He begins to form a strong identity centering on the entire herd itself; no longer is he just a son of Florian, but a son of the Primrose and Hope herd. He views his grandmother as his mentor, perhaps eliciting mild envy or hurt in his mother because he seeks out Shoshana's advice more than Florian's. Sera also develops a desire for male role models, and begins attempts to interact with his grandfather, Oracle; his uncle, Winter Rose; and his cousin, Cadhla. Sera begins viewing direct blood relation with increasing importance.

Fall from Grace: (This may be tied into the previous plot.) Seraphiel may inadvertently start minor conflict within the herd because he places an inordinately strong emphasis on blood relation. In contrast to the ways of the herd, he does not view (for example) Shilo, Meykal, or Kisha as his family members because he is not related to them by blood. Possibly he gets into an argument about the relevance and importance of blood ties in a family, and makes a thoughtless statement like, "If you aren't blood related, you aren't my real family." This can result in a retort about Seraphiel's father, maybe something like, "Your father is blood, but he doesn't raise you, we do," and this results in hurt feelings all around. Sera is left feeling torn, confused, hurt, and angry, and doesn't even know if he should be filled with guilt and remorse.

Young Adult Plots

Speak of the Devil and the Devil Shall Appear: For the first time, Sera meets his father. Seraphiel is immediately drawn in by Messiah's charming, charismatic nature and led to implicitly trust his father; he is unable to understand why his grandmother dislikes Messiah so much. Regardless of how Florian behaves towards Sera's dad, Sera will be overjoyed at Messiah's appearance and not even think twice about why Messiah was missing for much of Sera's childhood. If Sera's siblings react badly to their father's appearance, Seraphiel will likely incite an argument with them, defending Messiah. Perhaps Messiah witnesses this?

Blood is Thicker than Water: Seraphiel ignores any warnings he gets from his herd and actively seeks out Dad for what he thinks is some father-son/daughter "bonding" time, not realizing that Messiah agrees not out of paternal love but out of a desire to manipulate his children. Sera's siblings may be invited as well (but not their mom) on the first encounter. This strengthens Sera's trust in his father, even if his siblings (or his mom or grandma) react badly. Messiah takes this opportunity to learn about his children -- what they love and hold dear, what their values are, how impressionable they may be -- and evaluate their "usefulness." There may be another outing for family bonding, and Florian may come along -- if Shoshana permits this outing, she may insist that it be done under her supervision. Seraphiel is not the center of attention; he pays close attention to how his mother and father interact.

Devil in the Details: Messiah has left the Primrose and Hope herdlands, and Seraphiel is discontent. Sera still believes blood relation is extremely important for a family, and he wants his mother and father form a traditional, ideal family unit... even if it means separating his mother, siblings, and himself from the herd. He learns what lifemating is and completely overlooks Florian's decision not to lifemate with Messiah and those implications (specifically, that Florian and Messiah do not want to stay together for their entire lives). Sera attempts to reunite Florian and Messiah, disregarding the feelings and desires of everyone else involved, only to have his attempts backfire. In the process, he manages to offend members of the herd, anger his father, and upset his mother and grandparents. After being called selfish and inconsiderate, Messiah begins to distance himself from both his family and his herd.

Brand of Cain: Frustrated, Seraphiel leaves the protection of the Primrose and Hope herd for what is meant to be a short time. This is meant to be a spiritual retreat, a time when he can relax, view the world with a fresh mind, and make a clean start. He leaves the herd with the hopes of coming to terms with his father's lineage and then finding a love in his life. Instead, he hears about a dark Soquili with six wings -- a stigma, the "mark of Cain," -- and this spurs him into an attempt to find all members of his father's family. Sera sets out on a mission to prove that not all descendants of Lucifer are corrupt, but doesn't know what he will find.

Baptism of Fire: Sera wanders alone, not ready to face his herd and family just yet -- he is still torn and upset over what happened in Devil in the Details. He travels the wilderness until he meets an angeni of the opposite sex, and he is awed at first sight. He attempts to speak to her, but she turns him down. Unwilling to give up, he follows her. She tells Seraphiel that he's acting irrationally, but he responds that he doesn't care, he's no longer sure what's rational or not... not to mention he's starting to view her evasiveness as a game, like "playing hard to get." The angeni attempts to escape by leaping over a long fall such as a ravine, a canyon, or a waterfall, using her wings to help her, thinking that Sera would stop. (If Seraphiel has wings, then at the beginning of this RP he had suffered an injury -- this plot requires him to be unable to fly for at least a short time.) Seraphiel attempts to leap across as well, but his hoof gets caught and he can't make the distance. To the angeni's horror, he falls, tumbling against rock on the way down, and falls unconscious. He awakens to find the angeni treating his wounds. Sera apologizes, and the two finally have a real conversation. He expresses wonder of her "purity" and abilities as a result of her angeni blood. Seraphiel begins to feel envy. After healing, he returns to the Primrose and Hope herd.

Devil's Advocate: Without realizing it, Seraphiel is being manipulated by his father, doing Messiah's dirty work. This gets him in trouble with some unsavory (kalona?) Soquili. Sera refuses to believe that his father is anything but the poised, debonair gentleman he appears to be and steadfastly continues trusting Messiah. Meanwhile, other Soquili treat Sera like a bringer of bad luck and misfortune because whenever Seraphiel appears to get involved, arguments and disagreements come about. Seraphiel notices that he seems to have a talent for getting other Soquili to lose their temper. His herd doubts him. Sera's relationship with his mother deteriorates; he and Florian grow increasingly distant. Sera feels like he can no longer confide in his own mother.

Thirty Pieces of Silver (the Price of Treachery): Messiah continues to manipulate Seraphiel; Sera is his father's tool. Sera had already he created mistrust within the Primrose and Hope herd. This time Sera's behavior has grave consequences: he causes a family and/or a couple to break apart (probably only temporarily, just for the duration of this plot, but Sera is unaware of this). Sera takes the blame for this, and his relationship with the herd (and with his grandmother) worsens until there is a verbal fight. Sera is turned away from the herd. Upset, he leaves them for a few days. When Sera attempts to rejoin his herd, his herdmates are not yet ready to accept him again. Hurt and angry, Seraphiel tells Shoshana that he needs some time to himself. He finds Messiah and/or "evil" Soquili, telling them of his troubles. These Soquili convince Sera that the herd never looked out for him, that he's better off without him. They work Seraphiel into a rage until Sera agrees. Seeking to harm the herd from inside, Sera plots with the evil Soquili and organizes an attack on the herd. In turn for the kalonas' help, Sera promises to aid them when called upon (i.e. Sera kind of "sells his soul" to the Soquili version of the mob).

Fire and Brimstone: The attack planned in Thirty Pieces of Silver occurs. Florian and/or Shoshana and/or Oracle confront Seraphiel. Sera comes to the conclusion that he is inherently evil because he is a son of Messiah.

Judgement Day: Seraphiel becomes self-destructive. At times, he feels overcome by guilt, but he oscillates between remorse, regret, and a feeling of complete and utter helplessness, believing that he is a beast. He wanders the wilderness with the intention of harming himself: he burns in the desert sand, freezes in the mountains; his body aches and he does not have to face other living beings. However, he runs into the angeni he met in Baptism of Fire. He confesses to her, asking her to put him out of his misery, but instead she treats him with pity and foregiveness. She helps Sera come to terms with his actions, and after receiving her support, they once again part ways. He asks her for something to remember her by.

Prodigal Son: Seraphiel returns to the herd, seeking forgiveness. This RP will involve his attempts to mend his relationships with the herd members. Whether Sera is accepted or turned away, he will feel remorse for his treachery.

Adult Plots

Wages of Sin (Original Sin): Long after the incidents in Thirty Pieces of Silver and Fire and Brimstone, the kalona-mob calls upon Seraphiel's for his assistance. But Sera's done with his wrongdoing and wants nothing to do with them. They begin hunting him down. Sera finds other Soquili who made deals with the mob, and they band together against the kalona. However, their loved ones are taken hostage.

Dark Horse: The Soquili-mob plans another attack on Sera and his allies... but there is a mutiny within the mob! A "dark horse" becomes its new leader, and (s)he seeks out Seraphiel and his allies to make a truce.

Hey Strife~ :3 I'd like to offer you IthillĂșn to plot/RP with as the filly you're looking for. I don't have access to her foal cert at the moment (slow computer makes my teepee impossible to load XD ) so you can look at her adult one for now, I guess.

Seeing as she's a twisted foal, too, I think it'd be fun for them to meet and maybe have a little adventure together or something. :3 I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for in the filly you want plots with, but I hope I can help. I can also start any RP's, since it sounds like you're really busy. <3

LOL <3 You can catch me, I would love to plot too; I have a few ideas for foalhood, and a few for youth that maybe we can help one another out if it fits :3

Hai. I started a family RP a while ago if you're still interested. And of course we can do a sibling roleplay too! And Mother/Son RP too!
