NAME OF CLASS: First Aid 101
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Cricket

General information: A general overview on basic illnesses a student might run into, as well as symptoms and quick fixes to things like breaks and deep cuts while on the go!

Each student is given a dummy to work on, though they may choose to partner up in fixing it.

Mechanics:
Roll 1 20-sided dice, what you roll is what your student gets to work with...

Dice Rolls and What they Mean!
1-4 - Broken Bone
4-8 - Fever
9-12 - Heat Stroke
13-16 - Hypothermia
17-20 - Lack of Bodily Function (such as breathing, pulse, etc) - this is unnaturally so.

After this, please roll 4, 4-sided Dice. Take into account their total and any repeating numbers

Total Results and their Meaning

1-6 - You do a rather poor job patching up your dummy, you might not want to try and heal anybody anytime soon!
7-12 - You do an average job, nothing extraordinary, but passable!
12-16 - Extra good work! Your student can now heal surface wounds!, but not repair HP! This means things like cuts and bleeding that might hinder another character can be patched up!

What Repeating Numbers Mean

No Repeating Numbers - You used just the right amount of supplies, good for you! Not wasteful at all.
Repeating 1s or 2s - You didn't use enough supplies, that's rather lazy and Cricket obviously disapproves of it.
Repeating 3s or 4s - You used too many supplies and that's wasteful! Naughty! Cricket might make you earn your supply rights back in a future class!

If you work as a group, split up the dice between yourselves as evenly as possible. So if you're paired up, each person rolls a 10 sided dice and you add up the results to get your dummy!

Then you split up your 4 sided dice to work on fixing it up!

Bonus Mechanics:
For every 3 times you attempt this course, your student may add +1 to their 4d4 dice roll's total to improve how well they patched up the dummy.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN...

- You are finished rolling both sets of dice and rping out the results. That means you have to make ANOTHER rp to try again!

It had occurred to Leo some time ago that if she planned on being any sort of a fighter, it was probably good to have some healing as back-up. She doubted she'd ever be a full-on FEAR healer, but knowing even just a little bit could be useful, right?

Which was why she was now here, in Professor Cricket's class, standing before a dummy. A very, very cold dummy that was slowly turning a frozen blue. Could dummies even do that? It wasn't exactly something she'd contemplated before, but then again, this was very likely to be a magic dummy of some sort. Or something like that. Well, there was nothing for it but to get started - she had the sneaking feeling that if she waited too long in taking action, her dummy would die and she'd automatically fail this class. It could happen, yeah?

Grabbing some blankets and a heat pad, Leo went to work bundling up her dummy. Slowly, very slowly it turned less blue until eventually she took one of its hands and felt that it was back to normal temperature. But it'd gone so slowly; she was pretty that was a bad thing. Well, that and the disapproving look Professor Cricket was throwing in her direction. Maybe she hadn't used enough blankets? She'd have to get more next time, then.

She'd just have to give this another go. There was no way she was giving up that easily, after all - so what if she wasn't exactly a natural-born healer? Practice and hard work was the way to go here!

With that in mind she went to grab another dummy. This one... this one didn't seem to have a pulse? With a puzzled look on her face, Leo put her hand to the dummy's wrist, trying her best to find a pulse. None. Wait, did that mean she'd failed before she'd even begu-- oh crap, she'd better do something, quick.

Remembering some fuzzy lessons on CPR she'd gotten from her parents, Leo set to work. Eventually she managed to bring some life back to her dummy, but she'd forgotten her rhythm a couple of times and had almost lost the damn thing more than once as a result. Still, in the end she guessed this could count as a pass, if not a clumsy one. Hurrah?

Alright, on to the next dummy, then. Feeling a lot more confident about this now that she'd actually managed to do a reasonable job, the Mare quickly went to retrieve her next victi-- patient.

This one seemed to have heat stroke, if she was to be any judge. Which she was, obviously, considering she was the one in charge of the faux-person's life now (a daunting thing if she'd ever heard one).

Alright, so what did one do for heat stroke? Hmm...

Grabbing some bottles of water, Leo started feeding the dummy small, careful sips of cool water, making sure that it wasn't drinking too fast. She was pretty sure that if it'd been a real person, drinking too fast could make them vomit; and she wasn't keen to test out if Cricket's dummies were lifelike enough for that.

A couple of water bottles and some fanning of the dummy later, it looked to be feeling better. Or, well, looked to be in less dire straits, at least. She'd take what she could get. Although from the Professor's disapproving stare, she'd once again managed to do something wrong. Whatever, the dummy was semi-fine now, no need to do more than neccesary, yeah?

She was so close to passing this class she could taste it. Almost there! With a spring in her step and humming slightly under her breath, the Mare went to fetch another dummy. There was no way this could go wrong now, certainly; just a little more, she was confident.

The next dummy seemed to be suffering from a fever, shivering and sweating. A hand on its forehead told her that its temperature was way too high. Okay, to work!

She really needed to stop being so lazy about this. Leo had removed the dummy's excess clothes and made it slowly sip cool water and, eventually, it had become less feverish. But it'd taken a really long while. Maybe she should have given it a cool rag for its forehead too? Whatever more she could have done, she definitely hadn't done as well with this dummy as she had the last. Obviously getting cocky hadn't helped her much at all.

She was noticeably less excited as she grabbed her next dummy from the closet. A quick examination revealed that this one didn't seem to be breathing at all. So, more CPR - she'd have to get to work quickly.

At least she knew what to do this time and Leo didn't have to think about it much before she went to work on her dummy. Chest compressions and artificial breathing she knew; after all, she'd done it already on another dummy. Still, her nerves seemed to be interfering and she alternately did too many compressions and not enough artificial breathing. The dummy came really, really close to losing its life a couple of times, but eventually she managed to get its pulse and breathing going steadily again, and the Mare breathed a sigh of relief. Finally. That was three, right? Enough for a general pass?

As it turned out, it was. There was a smile on her face and a bounce in her step as Leo made her way out of the class, feeling like she'd actually learned something. Which had been rather the point of taking said class. Score!
