Invictus knew what would happen if he let Lan take his course without anything ‘extra’ he might as well have let her walk in a park. Conquest was simply trained to move in silence. A noble woman even more so. So when Lan had said she would attempt his course, Invictus had added a few extra rules for his cousin. A tea kettle, balance on her head. This was not the worst thing, but- on top of that, a teacup, filled to the brim. She could not look down either. There would be a challenge in her doing his course. Easy was simply unacceptable.
