I was just wondering what you all thought of the Kinsey sexuality scale. Also, where do you all fit on it?
If you don't know what it is, learn about it here
Btw, there's also technically and "x" for "non-sexual" or asexual.

Its alright. Kinda dated. As for where I fall on there I would be around a 4.7 or something.

Well it's got a decent spectrum of sexual orientations. I would place myself at 4.5.

I'd fall somewhere between a 4 and 5. It's kind of handy, since it's a bit more descriptive than gay/bi/straight.

I'm more of a 2.5... I've dated guys and loved them but have leaned a little more towards girls

I'm like a 10. But the kinsey scale is very loose and not very inclusive.

It doesn't account for every possible attribute of sexuality. It's very spoon-fed.

A pansexual wouldn't even chart on the kinsey for example.

well, i suppose you could have a three dimensional graph, but that wouldn't be easy enough to understand, which is what makes the kinsey scale a useful tool especially for people who are trying to understand their sexuality for the first time, and not just in terms of straight, gay or bi.

I'm a 6. I don't really think anything of it. I define sexual orientation differently than this so It doesn't really bother me either way.

I like the Klien Grid for that reason. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klein_Sexual_Orientation_Grid it expands on Kinsey's idea. Also limited in that it views gender as binary, which it most definitely isn't.

Still even pansexuals have preferences, at least all the ones I've known have.
