_______________There will come a time when all Pae'il will have to figure out what it is they truly believe in. What is most important and what is worth protecting. They will need to decide what is worth fighting for.

Tension has been brewing on the island for some time, and it's about to get much worse. Secrets will be revealed, and skeletons of the past will resurface. War is looming on the horizon, yet no Pae knows it's even possible.

Certain entities that work beyond mortal vision have been at odds for centuries. They've been manipulating events on Telrunya for as long as Pae'il have walked the land. This battle is about to cross the mortal veil, involving all Pae'il on Telrunya. Loyalties will be tested, morals will be challenged and heroes will be made.

Who is fighting?
    The sources behind the fighting have yet to reveal themselves; however, they have revealed a few of their major players.


Factions
  • Light
    • Represents The Guardians and all those who support the original Pae'il Gods.
    • Lead by the Holy Order of the Light - 5 paladins fighting to protect the island and all her inhabitants, and cleanse it of the evil Taint and those who seek to destroy The Guardians.
    • All Angels and Demons default to this faction. To change, action via RP is required. (info listed below in the appropriate post)
  • Ancient Elemental
    • Represents all five of the ancient elemental pae'il types based on the five elements that created Telrunya: water, earth, void, air and fire.
    • Lead by the elemental heads: Naiad Queen, Faun Chief, Miakis High Priestess, Sila Senator, and Dracian Warlord.
    • All elemental types default to this faction. It includes all Naiad and Faun currently, and Miakis coming soon. Hybrids are not denied, but must prove their loyalty to their type's leader before being trusted.
  • Dark
    • Represents Pae'il who have turned against the Light (The Guardians) and the Elements, and have embraced the Taint as a source of greater power.
    • Dark (sometimes referred to as Taint as well) is lead by Guardian Strafe, who is no longer affiliated with the other Guardians.
    • Joining this faction is permanent, because a blood sacrifice is required, which forever taints the soul of the Pae'il.
    • No Pae is defaulted to this faction. It has to be joined via specific RP actions.
  • Rebellion
    • Not an actual "faction" but more will be revealed later on. No Pae'il is allowed to join this until it's introduced via RP. It will mainly be for Faeries, but others will be welcome.
    • Until it is introduced, all Faeries default to Light Faction



Powers
  • Powers will be different for each faction. Some factions will not have access to all power categories.


Rules:
  • All Pae'il will be in a faction whether their player recognizes it or not.
  • All Angels and Demons (and for now, Faeries) are part of the Light Faction and will be recognized as such.
  • All Naiads and Faun are part of the Ancient Element Faction and will be recognized as such
  • As we delve deeper into our plot, traitors will face punishment and imprisonment, so some may have to hide their true alliances.
  • To join the Dark Faction, it must be done via RP. No pae is assumed to just be a part of it, unless that was part of the contract when the pae was awarded/sold.
  • If you don't want your Pae'il to have to "pick a side," they will have to still pretend to be a member of one or face criminal charges, even if they ultimately end up on the Rebellion.

This is the faction most Pae'il will belong to. The Light looks to The Guardians as their source of inspiration, power, love and protection. The Guardians have always looked out for Pae'il-kind, guiding and protecting them and making sure they have everything they've ever needed. It is only the outside sources that have ever taken anything away from Pae'il.

The Light Faction is led by The Holy Order of the Light.
The Holy Order of the Light consists of five paladins:
    Grand Lord
    2 Grand Crusaders
    2 Grand Heralds


There is an established hierarchy below these three ranks that will be filled out as Pae'il become more and more interested in fighting for peace and justice and the sanctity of Telrunya.

Capital:
    Telrunya City - open to all Angels, Demons and Faeries.

Beliefs:
  • Angels and Demons are the rightful leaders of Telrunya, and the original Pae'il. (The Elementals want to usurp them, so they lie about when they first existed)
  • The Guardians are omnipotent, loving, compassionate, fair and just. The are revered and worshipped as they provide salvation for all Pae'il, even those who have turned their backs against them.
  • Blessings flow when Pae'il are good and just, and follow the rules and laws set forth by The Guardians. It is the poor behavior of Pae'il that caused The Guardians to stop blessing Pae'il to become Elders.
  • All Pae'il powers and magic is a gift from The Guardians.
  • The Guardians control all magic on Telrunya.
  • Guardian Strafe was banished from the Holy Council for crimes against the other Guardians, including conspiracy to harm them.
  • Elemental Pae'il are new abominations that crawled out of the land and want to take over. They are not true Pae'il, and they have never existed before the discovery of Pearls in Tuatha Ri Lake several years ago.
  • The Taint has something to do with the "birth" of the elementals, which is why they are evil and not to be trusted.

Goals
  • To establish leadership on Telrunya
  • To build lasting and loving relationships with The Guardians
  • To provide a safe, comforting, supportive and sustainable life for all Pae'il.
  • To spread the truth about the elemental pae'il.

  1. Treat the island and all whom dwell on it with respect

  3. Show respect for your fellow Pae'il
  4. Work together for the benefit of Pae-kind
  5. Give help and show kindness in all things

  8. Be charitable and give of yourself to the greater good
  9. Be truthful in all things, at all times
  10. Take responsibility for your actions

Ancient Elemental Pae'il are those born of the elements, so they have different appearances based on the element in which they were born of. They are the original primordial species of Pae'il. Once thought extinct, they have awoken once more. One by one, each elemental type surfaces, making their presence on the island known as they try to re-acclimate to their homeland.

Each element gave birth to a different type of Pae'il. Each type has their own society with morals, values and politics. Each element also has a supreme leader, who represents the entire elemental type on an Elemental Council that heads the Ancient Elemental Faction.
    Water - Queen
    Earth - Chief
    Void (magic) - High Priestess
    Air - Senator
    Fire - Warlord


Capitol
    Water - Alu Temple in the center of Tuatha Ri Lake. All water is the domain of Naiads.
    Earth - Laisidhiel, The Tree of Life. Soil and nature are the domain of Faun.
    Void - unknown. The Astral Plane is the domain of Miakis.
    Air - unknown.
    Fire - unknown.


All sub-types (Aernyn & Fauny) still must abide by each elemental type's rules, and answer to the designated leadership.

Beliefs
  • The pure elements, especially the one each leader is tasked with protecting, is the most important aspect of any Ancient Elemental's life. They revere the elements the same as a Light pae reveres the Guardians.
  • That the Taint is a byproduct of the evil-doings of The Guardians.
  • Naiads
    • Naiads respect the Queen. Even if they don't like her. Proper respect must be shown at all times. The Queen is the only Naiad that can lead them to their destiny.
    • Water is the lifeblood.
    • Respect is shown to all elements, but Water is first.
    • Patience, adaptability and empathy are key virtues.
    • Don't trust winged land Pae'il.
    • Naiad are loyal to each other.
  • Faun
    • Faun respect the Chief (and his wife). Even if they don't like them, or agree with their policies. Proper respect must be shown at all times. The Chief is the only Faun that will be able to protect and save them all.
    • Faun are traditionalists, and rarely go against established tradition or rules.
    • Faun have tremendous respect for all Nature, and show utmost reverence.
    • They recognize the importance of Water, and show proper respect.
    • Don't trust Angels or Demons, particularly those aware of the past.
    • Laisidhiel is the lifeblood, and any Faun would lay their life down to protect the Tree.


Goals
  • To secure their homeland so they can live in peace.
  • To protect their way of life and ensure health and prosperity for their bretheren.
  • To stop The Guardians' reign of terror on the Ancient Elementals
  • To learn why the Guardians killed their ancestors.
  • To unite the Elemental Council and find The Book of Transcendence
