Well, I don't know if it's THE happiest memory I have (there's lots), but it's definitely up there. That feeling of finally leaving home and setting out on your own, being responsible for yourself, making sure you have enough money to take care of yourself... it's kinda scary, but it's exciting!
Maybe it depends on the kind of relationship you had with your parents, but there's something that's just so satisfying about leaving home. I was always on good terms with my parents (they divorced when I was a child, and I mostly lived with my mom when I was a teenager), but when the day came to pack up all my stuff, and I gave my mom a big hug and told her I would miss her, I was free. And that feeling is so great it's hard to put into words.
So, how about you? Do you live on your own (or with a roommate)? If so, how did you feel about moving out? If you still live at home, do you like it, or do you look forward to leaving?

I live with my boyfriend. I was super excited to move out because, even though I love my mom, it was difficult to live with her haha. I kinda miss the days where I don't have to pay much rent, but I'd say that it's worth the freedom of it just being my man and myself.

Haha, yeah, having to pay rent kinda sucks, but it is definitely worth it. The price of freedom, you could say. And having someone else to live with and split the bill with definitely helps! 3nodding
