I have a lot of personal goals that can also be New Year's resolutions.

I want to become a more sociable person in real life.
I want to be fearless in social situation.
I want to diminish flaws that made people dislike me.
I want to improve my cooking skills...

Me too although its to keep trying to quit smoking cigarettes! lol Phew, what a pain its been! Maybe we can help each other...

2. And to start spending more time with my family. I've been kinda alienated from them for the last 19 months.

Resolutions have never worked for me in the past because I never did more than declare them. "I''m totally gonna lose weight this year" said while munching on a Crunch bar lol. Nothing changes the way you want it to if you leave it alone and man you'd be surprised what you can do when ya actually do it! emotion_yatta I'm looking forward to the new year, time to shake out my weathered old self and trudge toward another goal. ^_^

Ugh, I'm extremely wary about drugs that are meant to make you quit other drugs. They can be a good thing for some people but not all. I took Campral when I first tried to quit drinking and it screwed with my mental state so bad I couldnt function properly while on it and when I stopped taking it it took two weeks to get back those functions! I've also heard negative experiences from people in my recovery classes who were prescribed Chantex (I think thats what it was)... No bueno on stuff like that. sweatdrop

Yeah I get ya. I hate taking medication, period. >w>;
But since he's taking it, I kinda trust it, ya know? ._.
It just gave him insomnia, I'm afraid what it'll do to me. I already have insomnia as it is. D:

After my baby is born I plan on going on family walks to the library because we live so close. I want to start getting into shape. After I am able I am going to get the Mirena implanted so that I don't have to worry about having another child for at least 5 years (or less if I choose) so that we can become stable as a family. I am going to cut soda completely out of my diet. I plan to start couponing because I am going to be a stay at home mom for a little while and that will help take alot of the pressure off of my husband. I am making a very realistic goal of 250 at first because that is what I was about because that is how much I weighed before I was pregnant. Then I want to go down to 200. I want to be at a healthy weight by the time I am ready to have my second child.

Those are my new years and beyond resolutions.

GOOD LUCK!! It can be so hard. I quit cold turkey about 3 years ago and it is still hard to think about. Having a solid support system is REALLY important.

Mine is just to not go into labor before the end of Feb, it seems my little Ninja Nadia wants to try and come out way to early!

Other then that, just get out a little more and enjoy the time I have with my daughter Darlene before Nadia arrives (Darlene is adopted and will be 7 months when Nadia is born)

        1. Continue my health plan - I've quit eating junk food except for the occasional sugar treat.
        2. Finish my story and send it to the publisher.
        3. Buy a compost and plant a herb garden.
