Hair Control : As a male hair ghost, he can manipulate his hair as he wishes, he can use it to pick up things, write, use chopsticks, any of that. He can grow it only a bit longer than it's natural length to reach something. He uses his hair more than he uses his own hands.
Personality:
Yuuta was a surprise to the entire community of Yurei when he appeared to them, a male Yurei of his kind is pretty rare (most well known Japanese ghosts are female) and extremely awkward to the small group of females who took him in and had no idea how to raise a boy, living or otherwise! And so, they did the only thing they could think to do with him. They raised him as a girl. He seems like a pretty girlish sort of character, nice and quiet, rarely says a word sometimes if he doesn't have to. He occasionally wished that he were an actual girl, for no matter how much his aunties doted on him, he knew he was the odd one out. But instead of taking it too hard, he embraced the feminine side of his Yurei heritage. He really likes pretty things though, and if he talks, he will jabber on and on about them. Ohgosh hair accessories, new kimono patterns, that handbag that came out last month. He's completely talkative when it comes to things like that and is most of the time willing to try on anything. If he finds a friend in someone, he'll speak very freely with them, but only with them since he's not comfortable around strangers.
Due to this hobby his nick name "Yuu-chan" stuck and since he feels much more comfortable in the long flowing robes of his kind (though he's put his own spin on the design) it's sometimes very difficult to tell if he's a boy or a girl. Others have tried to get him to wear "boy clothes" but he's completely and utterly against the idea, since it feels so alien to him. He found a love for fashion magazines and started designing his own robes (he was tired of plain white ones) so that's probably what he wants to do later in his unlife.
He collects hair accessories, he likes ribbons, hair ties, intricate knot bows, anything! His prize possession is a delicate flower pin he claimed to have gotten off of a Geisha ghost when he scared her by accident. (He was just wondering what she was going to wear, honestly)
He's very interested in learning how to sew, because sometimes a ghost just can't find anything to wear! and by controlling his hair he can pick up a needle and do tiny stitches he couldn't manage with his hands. He is usually found associating more with girls than boys, due to his upbringing and hobbies. He doesn't have any gender issues, he's very comfortably androgynous. Though he may look like a girl, he's very much still a boy ghost, and like any boy ghost, he gets awkward if a girl shows interest in him in THAT way. ohgawdwhy.
Even though he's a polite kid by nature, he's very appearance oriented and is easily provoked if someone teases him about his looks. If someone goes to pick on him for his fashion sense or even, dare I say, mess up his hair...well...he won't be very happy. You may find whoever it was tressed upside down to a tree by strands of hair. He's also been mighty jealous of other people with pretty hair colors, he's never been happy with being so drab.
Oh that same note, he takes really good care of his hair, his aunties left him a special brush to take care of it, so he's always carrying this thing around in a small bag along with a pair of scissors and a faded pincushion with needles and thread. If he's low on FEAR or very weak his hair will go limp and he'll become only slightly tangible.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Yuuta spent most of his young life playing dress up with his many auntie Yurei, forever trying to please, but despite them wanting him to stay and be "Yuu-chan" forever, he wished to find a place where he could work on his talents and find where HE belonged, and where better to do that then at school?
FEAR Ability: Hooked Tresses: If threatened he would be able to channel his FEAR through his hair and as a Harionago he would turn the ends of his hair into hardened hooks and attack.
His FEAR works under the Swift Strike mechanic as he can and will make the ends of every strand of his hair into a tiny hook (if need be) and attack something in the area he can reach.
* If any is cut it will grow back rather quickly.
Physical Description:
Yuuta is pretty small stuff for a guy, standing at 5'5 and weighing less than nothing (as a ghost, lol) He still prefers to dress in the long flowing robes of his kind though he puts some color in there at times. Who can resist the accessories? He's got long black hair that goes all the way down to his ankles and a face like a dejected doll.
Eye Colour: Light gray
Hair Colour/Style: Long, straight and black with a few tendrils creeping around.
Skin Colour: white/gray
Clothing Style/Colours: He still prefers to wear his long Yurei robes, usually mostly white with blue or black trimmings. He sometimes jazzes them up a little. Most of the time from the waist down he's pretty see through and sheet like. When you CAN see his feet, he's got on nice white socks and small geta, or wooden shoes.
