My whole life I have always had a sweet tooth, put by my teens had what seemed to be a total chocolate addiction. During my periods or meltdowns from fighting with my parents I would binge on chocolate to feel better.I found that women tended to use chocolate as a substitute for sex, and released chemicals in the brain that mimics feelings of love. After taking biology in my first year of college and wanting to be healthy, I realized that a person should not exceed a certain amount of sugar a day and lost a lot of desire for sweets and started to dislike sweets and get sick from too much sugar.
Recently during a very bad case of crazy hormones during my last period, my boyfriend decided to be sweet and bring me kit-kat chocolate bars. So naturally I ate it, but I found how GOOD and WARM the chocolate made me feel for the first time in days since my misery began with Pre-Menstral Syndrome. I'm starting to enjoy chocolate more and more and am assuming it has to do with my aging body since my brain is technically still developing (I am 20 going on 21).
