[Ice Queen]

The Famine horseman shouldn't have stuck out, considering where they were. It seemed like everywhere you turned there was another famine member. But this one was different...

Possibly because he was walking along the halls at what seemed like random, staring at the ground. Even his hair--(and this DID stick out, even amongst the other famine members) seemed to be searching for something. Whatever it was he was looking for, it seemed to be very important to him.

Lily's twin brother tended to enjoy staying secluded in their quarters; she however was far more curious about their surroundings. Today was a day for explorations. Hopefully she would find new wonderful materials to bring back ho--

Lily squinted ahead at what looked like a walking houseplant in her path. She... didn't quite know what the hell to make of it. Maybe it could be used to make inks?... Oh... oh no. Never mind. It's a person. Lily froze in her tracks.
 

[Ice Queen]

A plant head came up, hovering in front of her. A tongue like thing slid from its lips, tasting the air around the other horseman. "Precious," the man who the plant was attached to said, "please refrain from doing something I will have to pay for later."

He shuffled forward a few steps, still searching. "My dear, if you could tell me, have you seen a mirror lying about?" he asked. For a second it seemed he was still talking to his hair--then he looked over at Lily expectantly. "I would very much like to find one."

Not "it." He wanted to find "one." Which meant that the mirror he was looking for was not his own... That was worrisome, if she caught it. So was the kyuubey'esque smile on his face.

Lily leaaaned back from the plant... thing. It was horrid. So not conquest in nature. So not natural. She looked sick when the man finally turned to face her.

"Nnngh... No. No mirrors. None," Lily stammered awkwardly as she backed up. He must be from the famine clan. War she could tolerate, death stand to be around, but famine just... repulsed her in ways she struggled to wrap her mind around. But she stayed. They can smell fear after all.
 

[Ice Queen]

His plants certainly could. They all came up, poised and watching her without eyes--

And then Fai made a happy little sound. "Ah! There it is!" he said, heading for the glint of light that had caught his eyes. "Lovely," he crooned. "Tell me, have you ever seen one of these before?" he asked the conquest female. He crouched down in front of the mirror, looking at Lily with a smile. "They're extremely amusing."

Lily gave an uncertain look at the mirror that the horsemen had in his possession. "No." Her answer was frank and honest... but curiosity continued to niggle at her. She crept closer, giving the plants a dirty look. How dare they exist. How dare they be so close.
 

[Ice Queen]

He waited until she was closer--yes, this was an experiment without her permission. Yes, he WAS an Alchemist of Famine, which means he was most likely one of the dirtiest players around when opportunity arose--

The plant head came out, brushing against her robes and Fai grabbed the mirror, an evil smile on his face. The world warped around them--

And in the lairs, both of their bodies collapsed, leaving them conscious in the Trance world.

The Setting

Fai and Lily are tossed into a First Person Shooter game with post apocalyptic flavor.
