 Melody
2 years
Melody was raised In the wild, but was shot by a hunter. When Zarin found her she had collapsed in front of him. But being wild she had to be tranquilized and tied to the wall. But when she realized he was only trying to help, she stayed hopping he would keep her safe.

Zarin was sitting down in the kitchen of his home, reading a book. It had been about a day or so since he brought Melody into his home. She was still recovering from her injuries of course, but she was looking better than she did yesterday.

Melody, though tranquilized, was awake and groggy. She would growl whenever Zarin would come close to her. As it was he had to throw her food to her. As she laid in the cage Zarin and his crew placed her in, she was sound asleep. She had been up all night and was really tired. She had her ears on high alert though. She was tied to one of the bars in the cage for security reasons. She had always been wild and wasn't used to being indoors. But she was starting to calm down. Though she didn't trust the food and had been refusing to eat.

Zarin looked at his pocket watch and saw it was time to feed Melody again. Zarin got up out of the chair and picked up a plate of raw chicken. He walked over to the cage and slid the plate under the bars.

Melody growled and moved back with her leg still dangling in the air. Her sapphire blue eyes seeming scared and confused but she didn't take any chances with the food. She was shaking from how weak from hunger she was. But then she saw the chicken and her mouth watered but she laid down way from the food facing away from it. She had gone longer without food buyt was really skinny right now. Her ribs were showing almost. You could feel her spine. She then heard her pack and whimpered missing them. She hated being locked up having no idea what she did to deserve it. SHe looked out the window at the moon in the sky. She wasn't too happy about being here.

Zarin sighed when he saw how stubborn she was being. "You have to eat if you want to get out of here girl. You'll only delay your release by not eating and staying locked up here."

Melody growled at him and looked out the window. She was lonely nad let out a lonely howl as usual trying to call her mate. She thought if anyone missed her he did.When she finished howling she laid her head down and looked sad. She hated humans and being locked up. No room to run around or walk. You could swear that she was crying.

Zarin scratched his head and then unlocked the cage. He opened the door and looked at her. "If I let you out of the cage, promise me that you'll eat the food and get better as quick as possible." Zarin really wanted to help her get reunited with her mate and pack.

Melody heard the cage door open and then saw the door to the ranger station opened. She then made a run for it and stopped after a few minutes and started to sniff around for her mate's scent. Then she felt one of her pups kick and went to find food.

Zarin shook his head and grabbed his coat. In the condition Melody was in, she could easily die from the cold or get caught in a trap and never escape. After a few minutes of walking, he found a trail she had made. So, he followed it, hoping to get to her in time.

Melody was shivering by this time and was too weak from hunger to howl for help. She just laid there in the snow shivering and hungry. Being pregnant she was worried about her pups.

Zarin found her in time before anything else happened to her. He put his coat over her to keep her warm. "I try be nice to you and this is how you treat me? Here, eat some of this." Zarin pulled a bag of granola out of his pocket. "I promise to get you something warm to eat once I get you back to the station."

As Melody laid in the snow, She felt warmth over her. But she growled as hje put the granola near her. SHe moved her head away. She looked half dead. She whimpered shaking badly. She then looked at Zarin and tried to get up and limped weakly over to him and buried her face before she fell down again.

Zarin picked her up and carried her back to the station. Once inside, he sat her on a couch and turned on the heater and pointed it at her to get her warm. Then, he made a chicken broth and put it in a bowl in front of her.
