Hey guys I am out of books to read and my vocab is slowly dwindling. So I wanted to read novels. I like suspense and mystery novels, especially those related to supernatural. Something like Percy Jackson, Inkheart or Harry P. Please don't suggest soppy romances eg Twilight or Vampire Diaries, they irk me. Any suggesstions?

Do you dig epic fantasy novels? I'm currently reading "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. It's wonderful. The books are: A Game of Thrones A Clash of Kings A Storm of Swords A Feast for Crows A Dance with Dragons The Winds of Winter A Dream of Spring
Malissa Marr has a grea series about Fey known as the "Wicked Lovely" series, i'm 21 and still love them even if they're aimed at teens. there's also the Chronicals of Faerie by O.R. Melling, again originally aimed at teens but amazing books. both of those involve some romance so i hope you don't mind that
that's off of the top of my head, i don't have a ton of supernatural series under my belt right now ^_^;
♥A friend of mine recommended The Haunting Of Maddy Clare by Simone St. James, to me not long ago and I've just ordered it, so I am rather excited right now. I'll include the synopsis since it may interest you:
Sarah Piper's lonely, threadbare existence changes when her temporary agency sends her to assist a ghost hunter. Alistair Gellis-rich, handsome, scarred by World War I, and obsessed with ghosts- has been summoned to investigate the spirit of nineteen-year-old maid Maddy Clare, who is haunting the barn where she committed suicide. Since Maddy hated men in life, it is Sarah's task to confront her in death. Soon Sarah is caught up in a desperate struggle. For Maddy's ghost is real, she's angry, and she has powers that defy all reason. Can Sarah and Alistair's assistant, the rough, unsettling Matthew Ryder, discover who Maddy was, where she came from, and what is driving her desire for vengeance-before she destroys them all?

The Rook by Daniel O'Malley Hyperion Series by Dan Simmons or if you like greek/roman mythology check out his sci-fi duet Ilium and Olympos. Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood The Gargoyle actually sounds like something you'd enjoy by Andrew Davidson The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova
If you like period drama's or historical fiction I think you would really enjoy anything by Phillipa Gregory, Tasha Alexander, and Lauren Willig.
