CALLING ALL HUNTERS
Not enough suffering in your daily lives? Looking for the potential for mortal wounds, broken bones, stress and potentially doing a weird sort of walk of shame home from Halloween? LOOK NO FURTHER!
What
Okay so here's the deal: Amrita's been taking a lot of bodily hits lately from the Hunters and she's sick of it, so she wants to play a little payback and at least be a thorn in the Hunter's collective sides. Now that she's got some strange sense of self esteem from her lovely trip to the Revenge Kingdom (where she no doubt belongs but don't tell her that), she wants to actually stop planning to antagonize the Hunters and actually start to do so.
Okay How
Amrita is a Vetala pretending to be a Patchwork (but she's not a broom pretending to be a horse pretending to be a Vetala pretending to be a Patchwork, sorry), and I say pretending to be a patchwork because that's part of her natural ability: To possess and reanimate the dead. Recently she discovered that she can possess the living too, at least for a short period of time. Using this ability she is going to try and severely maim, wound, confuse and hopefully cause some sort of chaos in the Hunter ranks.
To do this, I naturally need some Hunters for her to bother! That's where you come in~
I have limiters for Amrita's possessing abilities, which also kind of extend to anyone I do this nifty thing with, and they are as follows:
Amrita's Limiters:
- She is unable to:
- Possess the body for longer than 30 minutes.
Go more than 10 feet into Halloween, as the Hunter's body will start to deteriorate quickly.
Go to the Hunter's Island, even in a Hunter's body
Use Hunter Weapons (they return to their unsummoned form)
Touch a Hunter's Weapon for longer than a few seconds due to FEAR draining properties.
Protect herself from damage done to the body while she's in it (ie - If the body gets hurt, so does she)
Due to above, if the body dies she 'dies'...dissipates and takes a super long time to regen.
Feel any sort of comfort in a living body, because of all that breathing and pulsing and beating and moving ew.
- She also loses HP based on time length and Hunter Rank:
- Trainee: Loses 2 HP after the first 25 IC minutes
Intermediate: Loses 2 HP after the first 20 IC minutes
Hunter: Loses 2 HP after the first 15 IC minutes
She cannot possess Assistants and Division Leads.
What happens to the Hunters that she possesses?
- They more or less become a Meat Puppet, yay!
- Their Weapons can stay awake if you want them too, but they won't be able to communicate very well with their Hunter, if at all. They also won't be able to communicate with Amrita. They can feel something is invading, but they don't know who or what it is.
- Shortness of breath / oxygen deprivation dizzyness upon getting control back. What? Amrita's undead, she forgets things need to breathe!
- The feeling of their bones breaking just before they black out / just as they wake up. Amrita's signs of possession are the hands and feet twisting backwards; they won't actually break unless you want them to, but the feeling that they are is there.
- The following is up to the player's comfort level / will to suffer:
- Actual broken bones. She's trying to fight the signs of possession and in doing so may actually break the wrists/ankles in the process. Up to you which ankle/wrist/how bad the fracture is IF you go this route.
Wounding. Those limiters I listed earlier? I plan on having Amrita enounter every single one of them at least once, including the pseudo-death. YOUR HUNTER WILL NOT DIE just be suspiciously close to it is all.
If you want the pseudo-death I'd advise your Hunter has a companion with them. You know, to save them and kind of go WTF as they apparently try to commit suicide.
- As a general rule Amrita probably won't show up in her patchwork body and as such she won't sound like herself either. She'll show up as a Vetala and I'll...get you that reference image as soon as it's done! Until then: this is a child form of a Vetala...so imagine that but bigger, darker, and scarier?
Other things
- She might not come alone...just in case.
- There's an 80% chance Amrita's going to try and make off with your Hunter's jacket and scarf. Just a fair warning.
- Mine/Amrita's only goal is to antagonize the Hunters, so if you want to use it to cause drama between friends, or to just give your character a hate-on for Halloween, or perhaps use it as a spring board for something else, I'm totally cool with it! We can discuss things in further detail as it goes. Heck, this might spring board into something else all on it's own!
If this still sounds interesting enough to you, please leave a message here or contact me on AIM ( sanguincarn ) and we'll plot something out! C:
