This year, prepare for the Digital World to be torn down. No, not by a service provider, not by any simple virus or attack of any sort, and certainly not by an overload of cat videos. There has been a mysterious presence journeying throughout the Digital World for the past two years, barely seen or noticed by any. It has witnessed the first failed attempt of the destruction of the Digital World, and it has been devising a plan of its own, armed with a Digivice of sorts with a special program that is has been using to scan certain powerful and most notably evil Virus Attribute Digimon, along with many threats that Digimon Tamer Island has faced over the years. There have been rumors throughout the Digital World that these evils are returning once again, those that have been defeated, and those who still haven't set foot upon Tamer Island.
In lieu of the rumors of greatest evils the Digital World, they soon started to be overcome by rumors of the greatest Digimon gathering over the last two years as well, all preparing to defend Tamer Island in this time of need. There are still several notable Digimon there are also still present, but have yet to decide whether or not they will fend or control the Digital World? The event itself shall commence for the fight of the Digital World starts, and the war shall breakout in due time following once all of the key players have arrived!
Now, the few affiliated groups that are only rumored to be present are the ones that have been talked about in lore, and that have been known to fight with or against humanity and digital monsters alike. Now, choose your side!
As the Event progresses, there'll be more groups, and if they are in the same alignment as your group, you are free to interact with all groups that are within, other than neutral which will be choosing a side pending on your Tamer's choice, if you manage to befriend these Digimon of awesome power.

Mission: To survive and keep their legend alive.
Requirements: If you still have not decided which side you are on, you may find one of these grand Digimon around Tamer Island. You may get a better chance at doing so if you have a spirit Digimon that is attuned to the corresponding Digimon. They are scattered allover, so they may choose to side with you when it is time for you to decide when you make your final decision, to change the Digital World for good or for worse.

Shakamon's Aether
Aether, an overflowing light cast by the gods in order to dispel darkness. Legendary tamers claimed by the light of Shakamon are known as Aether. They are bestowed the task of maintaining the balance of the digital world such that the forces of light or dark may over power one another. They are lead by the keeper of Yggdrasill, Shakamon. It is a legendary digimon of love and tranquility, it's roots lie at the creation of the digital world when creativity and love pooled to form it's very being. No one has ever physically witnessed this legendary digimon, those five originally bestowed the title of Aether are the only ones too have had contact with the being. The group Aether is one of Shakamon's many ordeals, which it instills on the digital world in order to move forward into a more peaceful future. It is said that Shakamon is still waiting for the arrival of the one that will overcome the ordeals. It's hopes and trust are instilled in this new group of tamers.
