  • Elarinya -
      She's currently ... protecting something. She doesn't wander too far outside of the forest and will get oddly defensive if anyone approaches. Nevertheless, she's still a curious child, and so long as someone keeps their distance, she's likely to ask a lot of questions, some of which may seem ... well, obvious.

  • Lady Aeroniel -
      Telepath and Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Tariel. She will likely be present if you are offering any proposals to the Queen, inspecting you with a gaze that seems almost a bit too severe. Aeroniel can be a bit unnerving. She also takes the matriarchal tendency of the Naiads a bit too seriously and tends to find men not worth her time.

  • Texas Pete -
      His abilities have put him in a useful position of being able to mediate arguments, and that ability will only continue to grow. If anyone needs something to be settled out, Texas Pete is a good person to go to.

  • Nephi -
      Nephi is a Squire of the Order of the Light, and needs interactions with many Pae'il as part of his training. He had an extended stay at the Falassion Healing House, and may have a reputation as ... sickly, but make no mistake, Nephi is better than ever and is ready to gather as much information as possible.



Personal Plots:
  • Eros -
      Thoroughly sick of his mother, Eros has finally put his foot down and reunited with Psyche, as well as discovered the presence of his daughter, which has been nothing but liberating. With this new sensation of rebellion!, Eros is wandering around actually exploring the isle and occasionally causing a bit of trouble...

  • Aysu -
      Aysu has not trusted the new naiad overlords since the day they have arrived, and is now finally pondering acting on it. She, as a naiad, is considering throwing her lot in with the Guardians as she finds the Naiad Court to be a bunch of annoying, forceful, presumptuous invaders. She could use people to try and convince her one way or another.

  • Ignatius -
      Ignatius isn't exactly what one would call ... faithful to the Guardians. It may come from being raised with a skeptic father and a faun and nymph "brother," but either way, he can seem outright dismissive of the faith-driven authority these days, even refusing to get himself a power. This could create some interesting head-bashing with fellow Blood Pae. And don't necessarily let this be mistaken for an inclination to the Elementals either...

  • Rawiya -
      Rawiya honestly just wants to put her past behind her. Her goal is to not somehow scare every Pae'il she meets with her web of lies, bad actions, and stories, and do some good for the Isle--or, at least, some of the Pae on it. To this end, she's going to be putting herself out there, attempting to meet everyone she can and erase a bad reputation caused by a bad story.


Single Pae with No Plots Yet:
  • Esmée - Fancies herself a scientist and likes to experiment with everything. Esmée is not exactly the prime candidate for "good mother" with her treatment of Lisandru and her other children, and can be wildly irresponsible, but perhaps her intelligence will draw others in? Hangs out with a penguin who might be her balancing force. Prefers men.
  • Aysu - Finally off the rebound from breaking up with Noel after a disagreement on how Cinna should be raised. Still trying to get her bearings, but definitely doesn't trust the Naiad Court, as she does not trust anyone who tromps in late and declares their authority over those already there. Prefers women.
  • Zuri Seabrook - Is definitely a bit awkward, preferring to keep to himself in the river beds. Spends a lot of time accessorizing. Preference unknown.
  • Okeanos - Likely bat insane, and is heading into a Dark Direction. Prefers women.
  • Vangelis - Not particularly fond of talking and prefers to communicate his feelings through other vehicles, but is generally okay with other Pae'il. Nevertheless, is currently a bit suspicious of Rais' directions for the Faun and might be a bit distrustful of his fellow faun. Doesn't see the point of preferences; if someone can tolerate him, they're good.
  • Zaria O'Kane - Loud, spunky woman with an even spunkier side that comes out at night; tends to outpace everyone in her energy reserves and enthusastic ideas. She isn't aware of her mother or her brother, and does not seem to have any recollection of ever having family outside of Criofan and his shiny, Ei-Kal. No preference, likely loves everyone. Very free with herself.
  • Mikasi - Lazyass cat man, prefers being spoiled and resting all day over going out an doing much of anything at all. No preference, so long as he's properly spoiled.
  • Cheyenne - Overly introspective woman who questions everything and analyzes even more. Has the ability to jump to random realities. Preference unknown, dislikes Blood Pae.
  • Flitter - Soft and gentle, but perhaps first and foremost almost overly curious about everything about Laisidhiel and the Isle itself. Preference unknown, likely would prefer Elemental or Faerie Pae'il.

Sexual Preference: Primarily Male Blood Pae, but open to other possibilities.

Personality: As she is getting much older than she was before, a stronger sense of maturity has hit Esmée, and she isn't nearly as off-balance as she may have been years ago. Despite that, she isn't known for being very responsible for things that involve things that are not ways to expand her knowledge, and is still very obsessed with learning more and understanding more about her environment every day.

It's Fernand that really makes sure she even remembers anyone else amoungst her own obsessions...

Esmée is not a wildly talkative type of Pae'il unless someone gets her going on things that interest her--seriously, don't let her into her zone--but she can be what registers in her mind as friendly. She does not take very well to being fooled, though, and make no mistakes, attempts at that will get a Pae'il sincerely disliked. It's probably not the best idea to annoy someone who knows the best way to cause a fast explosion.

Powers and Abilities
  • Psychometry - Esmée can divine information about an object, simply by coming into close contact with it or something associated with said object.
  • Light Shield - Bright light shield that can distract enemy, provide cover, and absorbs one magic attack, even while moving. [Limit: 3]
  • Solar Shower - Sparks of concentrated light fall on the designated area, illuminating it, and causing moderate physical damage (burns - like sparks from a welder). [Limit: 3]
  • Apparate - When in light, Esmée can transport herself to any other location, provided she has been there before and can create a clear mental image of the spot she wishes to go. [Limit: 1 per 24 hour day]

Esmée's Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Growing Up - Esmée, always a curious one, grew up together with Aysu, exploring their environment and Esmée herself mostly curious about the ever mysterious naiad.
  • Fernand - Esmée meets a penguin at a party and attempts to get her to come over to her and ... ultimately fails. But it was without issue, because a male penguin came to join her, and she gained a friend and balancing force for life.
  • Settling Out - Esmée's curiosity begins to settle into a more scientific perspective, and her obsession begins to become experiments and learning as much as she possibly could.
  • Bneut & Children - For a while, Esmée finds herself nearly head over heels for a male demon Pae'il named Bneut. They end up moving in together and Bneut ... tricks her into taking a sip out of a breeding potion. Together, they end up with triplets, Alister, Lisandru, and Caine. Noticing two of her kids were so odd, she took them on as experiments of sorts, but she never quite forgave Bneut and ultimately kicked him out.
  • Presently - ... Esmée is experimenting as per usual. With her children grown up, she is mostly back to her own personal devices, though doesn't like letting at least Lisandru too far away from her leash. Nevertheless, he's beginning to rebel.


Future Plans & Plots
  • Psychometry - Esmée's new Guardian-granted ability leaves her more fascinated than ever with everything around her, and she will be spending a lot of time learning the fuzzy messages she gets and the exact materials within in her new Telrunya City residence.
  • Aysu - Esmée will be attempting to convince Aysu to join up with the Guardians and defy her Elemental brethren forever. Due to Aysu's distrust, this may be an easy fight, unless someone works to convince her otherwise.

Personality: Aysu openly defies the open, flighty tendency of the naiad alignment, much closer to the demeanor of her Blood Pae'il fellows. Harsher like a demon, dedicated like an angel, loyal like an angel and scorned like a demon, Aysu has never quite fit in with the standard naiads due to growing up with the crowd she has. It gives her a unique perspective, but also puts her in a unique position of understanding the Blood Pae'il side much better than the Elemental Side.

Aysu has a bit of an attitude problem at times, further harshened by the fact she feels she cannot trust nearly anyone, a betrayal by her former mate still hitting her deep even though it happened years ago. She still wonders what came of Cinna, of Noel, or even of Cinna's children, and it is something that haunts her daily. Despite that, she is sincerely trying to move on with her life, and so she is much less rude than she might have been on the onset of the heartbreak.

She still isn't anything close to nice, flowing, and gentle, though, feet firmly on the ground and determination firmly rooted in today's day and age.

Aysu's Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Growing Up with Esmée - Esmée and Aysu stuck together as children, teenagers, and even well into their adult years, relying on each other and exploring the world through the eyes of each other.
  • Noel - When Esmée found someone for herself, though, Aysu couldn't help some amount of jealousy and an extreme want to find someone for her own self, too. She ended up finding Noel through a personal ad put up by chance, and she fell nothing short of head-over-heels. The two eventually moved in together, and enjoyed a relatively peaceful life with Noel's daughter Cinna.
  • Seraphim - But nothing lasts forever, and Cinna suddenly disappeared one day, much to the worry of both Aysu and Noel. For the first time in months, they finally heard from her, and it turned out that Cinna was living with the one named Seraphim, someone Aysu knew through Texas was a horrible, cruel Pae'il that should be nowhere near her daughter. She schemed with Noel to break them apart when they visited, but Noel, once seeing Cinna was pregnant, was convinced that they should stay together. Enraged, Aysu left, never to see any of them again.
  • Heartbreak - With the gravity of what she did hitting her, Aysu was lost in the doldrums for as many seasons as she was with Noel, attempting to gather the fragmented pieces of her heart.
  • Naiad Court - In the meantime, the Naiad Court arrived on the Isle--or, rather, the isle crashed into the Naiad Court--and they tried to establish their authority over all already present naiad. This angered Aysu, who refused to actually follow them.
  • Senay - The loner Aysu felt an emptiness in her heart that nothing could truly fill, not even snarking at the adolescent naiad in the lagoon or talking to her sister from the City. She stumbled upon a sweet-smelling potion left at her door, saying that it would help her--and it just smelled so nice, she couldn't resist! Esmée ended up staying with her for an extended period because, fascinatingly, the potion had ended up making Aysu pregnant with a child of her own, later born as Senay, a fast-talking, bratty coatl. Sigh.
  • Presently... - With Senay now a teenager, Aysu has been given a bit more breathing room... but her child still has a bratty streak that Aysu cannot muffle.


Future Plans & Plots
  • Defy Elementals? - Aysu has not trusted the new naiad overlords since the day they have arrived, and is now finally pondering acting on it. She, as a naiad, is considering throwing her lot in with the Guardians as she finds the Naiad Court to be a bunch of annoying, forceful, presumptuous invaders. Personality: Criofan embodies his tale well, a devious fellow with a knack for swiping treasures and fooling others. Despite that, Criofan isn't so much a bad guy as he is a neutral one, a bit looser with his morals than the average person but not exactly out for the death of all Pae'il, etiher. He mostly is concerned with expanding his own treasure rooms to the point of kleptomania, unable to help swiping things that seem shiny to him.

Despite the need for shiny things driving much of his existence, outside of his obsessions, Criofan is a fairly average Pae'il. He's not particularly physically strong, and his wit and intelligence might be his main strength. He has his bad side, his tendency to trick and tease, but he (mostly) doesn't mean it maliciously. That being said, strong wit and intelligence have given him a keen eye, and he can tend to observe others rather bluntly, able to segment Pae'il into those who finds underneath him and those he finds worth his time and effort.

Overall, once someone gets past his devious, blunt exterior, Criofan isn't a bad guy to be around and actually can be rather pleasant, even if his fun still takes a turn towards the teasing and his honesty takes a turn for the ouch. One might also find someone who is very bright beyond just the golden sparkling of his skin, who takes well to new puzzles and challenges.


Based On: Leipreachán - Criofan O'Kane is based off of the Leipreachán (the English Leprechaun), typically rich and tricky fey who usually kept to themselves as cobblers.


Weapon: In a pinch, the staff works rather effectively, but he typically uses his wit and luck to get himself out of situations rather than actual violence.

Powers and Abilities
  • Leprechaun's Luck - Criofan has uncanny Leprechaun luck.
  • Treasure Sense - Criofan has a keen sense of where anything he considers of value may be located
  • Strong Magic Shield - Provides temporary cover from assault, in addition to providing some effective camouflage.
  • Magic Volley - Creates several, small, concentrated magic orbs that explode upon impact, causing mild damage and knocking opponents back. Limit of 3 uses in any battle and can easily be countered by other Factions' shields.
  • Apparate - Criofan can transport himself to any other location provided he has been there before and can clearly see it in his mind's eye. Time of day or light conditions do not apply.

Criofan's Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Growing Up - Criofan's lucky nature started out from his very childhood, able to dodge obstacles and get out of situations like no one else. Consequentially, this resulted in a rather devious nature developing rather early on in his life. Having Texas around did lessen some of the potential damage he could have done, but outside influences? Well, those ended up being a bit stronger...
  • The Trickster Children - Criofan was not the only one with these tendencies on the isle. He met Erylia, someone who managed to maximize his "shiny" drive and his deviousness up to eleven no matter how much the young teenage Texas attempted to get them to slow down. Criofan was nearly always getting into trouble, and he never wanted to stop.
  • The Teenage Years - And, well, so he didn't. Criofan kept up his trickery, in the meantime building up a budding best friendship with one Erylia. His horde was growing rapidly, despite his still relatively young age, and he found himself a room inside of Texas' place where he began to stockpile his belongings. Eventually, he would move these to a separate location.
  • Erylia: The Crush and Break-off - Criofan's adulthood brought with it a whole mess of new feelings, and on one drunken night at the Masquerade, Criofan decided enough was enough, and Erylia was his. It was a level of possessiveness that continued to carry until Erylia decided to show him on this insane wild goose chase through underwater caves and then admit that she loved him, something Criofan was not at all ready to hear. On their next meet-up, Erylia had a propostion: date her for a month, and if he hates it, he got her treasure room too. By the end of the month, Criofan had obtained two treasure rooms.
  • The Faun & Naiad - Criofan was present when the first faun began to arrive on the isle, and later when the Isle came flying downwards, leaving them in the Ocean for the first time ever. The changes were confusing and wild, but Criofan attempted to roll with them, immediately setting to find out more about their new brethren.
  • Amapola & Children - Along with the new alignments came the new deities, and Criofan was easily lured into yet another party, thinking that he could meet new people and maybe find new things there. It was the unfortunate case that he got drunk and ended up with children from a "bloody zebra" instead. While Criofan refused to make amends with Amapola and walked out of her life as fast as he entered it, he did take Zaria with him, a child who would grow to bound to a seemingly insomniac imp with a curiosity and naivete for miles. Having to raise her brought a lot of perspective to Criofan's life, and a lot of maturity followed with it.
  • Ei-Kal - Despite maturing significantly, Criofan's love of shiny things never went away, and, well, Ei-Kal was certainly a shiny thing. He approached the other man with a strange, contracted proposal of ownership, and Ei-Kal, naturally, rejected such nonsense. Criofan was nothing if not persistent, though, and kept attempting with Ei-Kal, in the process getting to know the father of one much better than he had before. He eventually changed his proposal, offering something else: perhaps a relationship, instead? Ei-Kal accepted.
  • Venus' Day - Criofan and Ei-Kal decided that they should go to the dance they heard about, taking Zaria and Kheliot with them as well. While Zaria and Kheliot separated off, Criofan and Ei-Kal enjoyed what was ultimately a relaxing evening ... well, until snakes showed up. But then, Ei-Kal got jabbed with a stray arrow on the way out, and they found other ways to deal with that situation...
  • A Full House - Criofan and Ei-Kal's shenanigans resulted in two little twins, Cazir and Ilazia. Add in the pearl Criofan picked up from Portia at the Silme Pond--which turned out to be a sprite egg--and their household had gone from four to seven. With triplets to functionally raise, the whole house has been concentrating the efforts on the kids and Criofan's trading business.
  • Presently... - Now that his children are growing up, Criofan can breathe a small sigh of relief. Though at home he is a dedicated family man, Criofan has turned a ruthless trading eye to the outside, attempting to build his own trading empire.


Future Plans & Plots
  • Ear to the Ground - Criofan's curiosity results in Criofan experiencing or seeing a lot of things he would rather not. Despite that, he will end up using this knowledge to assist himself as well as assist others in the Isle, such as Texas Pete.

Personality: Like a cool summer's breeze on the shores of the beach, Texas Pete is someone who is relatively calm, collected, and relaxing in his demeanor. He doesn't take anything overly seriously and yet takes almost everything seriously, a balancing act between understanding what is important and being too obvious that he understands. He seems to be relatively hard to shake on the outside, and is a very useful source for others to come to.

Texas is very outwardly focused, caring about others and hoping to ensure all others get along and are safe from any potential threats. He is also very outwardly intelligent, good with people and good with strategy for those people, even if he misses what is himself in the process. As a consequence, a lot of Texas' own needs tend to get left in the dust, which has resulted in feelings building up until they bubble over without his control, breaking the facade of perfect balance and understanding.

Despite a broiling emotional interior, though, Texas is a genuinely relaxing person and genuinely cares for his fellow Pae'il. Every step and word he takes his measured naturally, and Texas has acted like a bastion of strength and wisdom for many Pae'il in his years, and will only continue to do so as the years go on.

Texas' Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Growing Up - Was something that Texas Pete was expected to do quickly, finding himself quickly surrounded by a relatively young Criofan O'Kane and a toddler-sized little Magnus Vis. Consequentially, his view on what a childhood really was has always been rather limited, though he tried to have fun when he could with such childhood friends as Hyacinthus Floros.
  • Cinthy - Texas realized fairly early on that his preference was for the much more angular gender, harboring a crush on his best friend for much of their teenage and early adult years. This was despite the fact that Cinthy's mind seemed to be elsewhere, partially on the elder Jazz, and partially on Tristen, and perhaps another part on anywhere but him. Despite that, Texas was able to put a friendly face on, hiding the jealousy underneath a genuine, friendly affection for the fae.
  • Maturing - It was becoming obvious that Cinthy was not the man for him, to the point where Cinthy even told him so. More time turned into avoidance and then turned to nothing at all, leaving Texas on his own without his closest friend. In this time, Texas learned to straighten his back when the going got tough, and moved on, caring for those who were still present and those who became present, such as a growing good friendship with Aysu of the Elementals. It was nearly a year later before he saw Cinthy again, starved of human interaction, and while he tried his best to help, he isn't certain how successful he was. It only made him more determined to not fail others in the future.
  • Magnus the Chaotic - This learning experience was something he channeled into helping his younger brother Magnus, hoping to teach him to grow, to understand, and to be more polite. It was actually fairly effective, and eventually, though his help, Magnus was able to gain friends of his own, from the similarly devious and flighty Haru to one of Texas' good friends, Kane.
  • The Faun and the Isle Crash - Texas took charge when it was noticed that something was very, very wrong, moving to lead Kane, Magnus, and others that came across them into their new surroundings, exploring what had happened to the Isle and what had invaded as a consequence. They eventually found out of the existence of the Faun, a Pae'il alignment that hadn't been seen before, and Texas was entrusted with one of their youngest, a Pae'il Texas would name Vangelis.
  • Parties and Aftermaths - Perhaps Texas knew he couldn't stop them, but at one of Venus' shenangian parties, Kane and Magnus dared each other that they could handle more alcohol than the other. The competition went until the two bumbled off together for the night, rather ... surprising Texas when he couldn't figure out where they had gotten off to. Due to their shenanigans, however, both tiger Pae'il and Dionysian Pae'il ended up with a child of their own. Magnus wasn't entirely certain how to handle his failure, and shut himself in his room, only coming out when necessary and leaving Texas to raise Mikasi.
  • Saffron - Due to his growing friendship with Kane, it was perhaps inevitable that Texas would eventually meet the rest of his family. After many other failed attempts at dating, including a time where he instinctively went into father mode instead of any kind of dating mode, Texas thought he was destined to remain by himself and was okay with that ... until he clicked so well with Saffron. It was perhaps unfortunate that Saffron turned out to be interested in those of the female persuasion, or, well, so he said. An Anteros arrow said otherwise (and left them with two children, on top of it), creating a very ... confusing situation.
  • Ignatius and Mikasi - This confusing situation also left Texas with two children to raise at once, due to Magnus' incredible stubbornness. The two are relatively well-adjusted, and both adore older brother Vangelis, but neither can stand each other, constantly sniping at each other due to major conflicting points in personality. This has left Texas as a mediator even within his home, honing his skills as he moves his sons to try and just get along.
  • Presently... - Texas' focus on Pae'il as a whole group has never lessened, and he, now that his children have matured, is more free to turn his focus back outwards, and is working to resolve conflicts on the isle. Keeping an ear to what other Pae'il are hearing, however, has led to him catching some rather disturbing things...

  • The Honorable - Texas will be gathering a Task Force of Pae'il to deal with problems on the Isle, tired of hearing of such chaos and wanting to bring some order where there is none.

Personality: Magnus Vis is not exactly the most dedicated, loyal, or honorable person on the Isle. He's actually pretty self-absorbed, hedonistic to a fault, and flighty if someone no longer serves his purposes. This doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad guy, because he's ultimately not, but he's not exactly the perfect representative of all that is good, either.

If someone was looking for a good example of hedonism at the source, though, Magnus is definitely a good example. He prefers everything as lush as it can get, nearly rolling in the enjoyment he gets out of it. His room is nothing but cushioned, his interactions are nothing if not for increasing the enjoyment and pleasure of both parties, and his day-to-day is built around having the best time that he possibly could, no matter what anyone else says. That isn't to say he isn't smart, or doesn't have wisdom in there somewhere. Oh, he's very much so, not as inclined to madness as a Bacchus may be. He, however, doesn't see the point in using this knowledge to better their general existence if his own is just fine.

Unfortunately, so much concern on just feeling good has caused Magnus to ignore a lot of his legitimate issues, burying them under the urge to enjoy himself and comfort himself no matter what the circumstance. This has caused a lot to boil up, and recently, he's lost a lot of the fun personality he used to give off, spending most of his time sulking on his own.


Based On: Dionysus - Magnus Vis is based off of the Greek god Dionysus (the Roman Bacchus), the god of intoxication and wine. He was also commonly linked to madness, ecstasy, and frenzy.

Weapon: The staff is likely the closest thing he has to a weapon.

Powers and Abilities
  • Potions of Madness - Magnus can create very high proof alcohols and spirits.
  • Sanity Release - Magnus has the ability to draw what is holding someone back out of them, from their reason, to their morals, to their self-consciousness, and draw them into a temporary state of ecstasy.
  • Strong Magic Shield - Provides temporary cover from assault, in addition to providing some effective camouflage.
  • Magic Volley - Creates several, small, concentrated magic orbs that explode upon impact, causing mild damage and knocking opponents back. Limit of 3 uses in any battle and can easily be countered by other Factions' shields.
  • Apparate - Magnus can transport himself to any other location provided he has been there before and can clearly see it in his mind's eye. Time of day or light conditions do not apply.

Magnus' Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Growing Up - Magnus has always been a terrible little thing, and that started from a chaotic young age. Texas was tasked with raising him, and it was definitely a hard job. Some of his job was alleviated, though, by Cinthy having a devious younger sister of his own, an Eboraria that Magnus spent most of his time causing trouble with as a toddler and child.
  • She's Gone - Eboraria disappeared at much the same time Cinthy did, though, vanishing from Magnus' life and leaving Texas to handle him alone once again. The only fortunate thing was that with Eboraria gone, Magnus didn't necessarily have the motivation to go find his own trouble, and typically tried just ... luring it to him. Texas figured this was better than nothing.
  • He's Gone, too - Texas' loss of best friend Cinthy left him rolling through depression for a small while, but when Texas recovered, Magnus felt it. All of Texas' energies were then channeled into making sure Magnus learned a little better, and honestly, after a while, it ... began to work. Something in Magnus was much more grounded to the ground, even if Magnus himself would never necessarily care for anyone outside of his own bubble.
  • Oh No, the Sky is Falling! - Magnus was with Texas when it felt like the isle dropped out from underneath them, and was in a party with Kane in an attempt to figure out what was going on. Their search brought them closer together was a trio, as well, and Magnus began to feel some level of camaraderie with the tiger Pae'il.
  • Haru - Magnus' time with Haru was rather short, but it was what made him realize what affection for another Pae'il truly met, as for that brief time their relationship was a flash in the pain, Magnus felt truly affectionate for Haru. He couldn't wait to see the other man again, really wanted nothing more than to be with Haru. It was too bad they ended up falling away from each other, though Magnus to this day doesn't quite understand why.
  • Kane - That didn't mean Magnus was done on the romance scene, though, and perhaps an unknown mutual interest was what drew them together the night of the drinking competition... well, party. But it was that unknown mutual interest that drove the two to an unfindable location and to two surprise children a little while later. Magnus felt like he failed, really, gaining responsibility from his shenanigans and, on top of that, perhaps revealing a vulnerability to another, so he ... hid from the world, ashamed.
  • Presently... - Magnus is still mostly hiding himself away, though he is gradually getting better. He mostly didn't raise his son Mikasi, and his relationship with his son is therefore rather strained, though they have more in common than he realizes. He hasn't seen Kane since the incident, really, and isn't much aware of Vika other than the fact he was told she exists. He spiraled downhill and honestly doesn't know where to start standing back up again.

Personality: Zuri is a gentle sort when confronted, overall a friendly soul who seems to want nothing more than to see others happy, especially those that society has cast aside in some way, or those who have no confidence in their own selves. That being said, Zuri avoids confrontation as he can. Ever seen abandoned by the only one whom he considered a friend, Zuri has turned internal, keeping to himself in the river beds away from the bulk of naiad society.

He's a bit awkward, make no mistake, having trouble communicating properly at first. A lot of it is internal worries, afraid that the one talking to him will end up taking his behaviors negatively and shunning him before he even gets the chance to stand up for himself. He knows that he's a bit unusual for a male naiad, preferring to stay where he is, teach, and guide, over going out to hunt like the great naiad hunters or protect like the great naiad guards. It's a fear of persecution that keeps him away from others, and what makes it hard to get under his skin to speak to him as a fellow Pae'il.

Despite this, Zuri is not innately introverted, and will approach people if he feels he should speak to them. The occurrence of this, however, is relatively rare.


Weapon: Zuri avoids battle and therefore has no weapon.

Powers and Abilities
  • Boto - Zuri has bonded to a Boto, giving him heightened hearing, sight, and agility in water. He can use echolocation under the water as well.

Zuri's Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Childhood - Zuri is born as a young lake naiad, and ends up bonding as a child to the Boto dolphin. This causes him to prefer his life in the rivers, keeping him a bit closer to the bulk of Blood Pae'il population. As a consequence of this, he meets on Waikiki Kiki, and the two become close as they grow up together.
  • Waikiki Kiki - As he grows into a teenager, and even as an adult, Kiki ends up by his side, amusing him with wave shapes and good conversation. It is now that Zuri starts to realize he doesn't seem to quite be like the other male naiad and male Pae'il he has been around, and while he attempts to consult with Kiki about this, he finds relatively little support, her view of it shallow at best. Still, she continues to accept him, so he manages just fine.
  • Disappearance - One day, Waikiki Kiki suddenly stopped coming by. Where he was communicating with her just fine before, afterwards, he never saw her again. It made him wonder if he had done something wrong to have chased her away, and it caused him to turn internally, retreating into the rivers where he chose to stay by himself.
  • Naiad Society - The arrival of the naiad society was a surprise for everyone, but it was one Zuri embraced. He chose to join the newly arrived naiads, and while he would not actively hunt or guard for them, he would occasionally go to the castle for protection when needed, enjoying the extravagance of court life. In some ways, he wished he could be one of the ... handmasters?
  • Lilium - Zuri, one day, found a young child with interesting, translucent wings following him around. Not entirely sure where the young child came from, Zuri nonetheless welcomed the young, sullen child into his life. He couldn't just leave him there...
  • Presently... - Despite joining up with the naiads, Zuri still avoids society as a whole, keeping to himself and watching from a distance. He dreams of courtly life and beauty, but finds no success, keeping to himself.

  • Acceptance - Zuri is rather accepting himself, but to attempt to act as a woman in the matriarchal naiad society can sometimes get him some odd looks. Perhaps he can find some people who don't find this so odd?

Personality: Make no mistake, Okeanos is ... off-balance.

He has no real care for his fellow Pae'il, seeing them as something he can use to advance his own desires and wants over something that should be regarded as equal to himself. He seems to be most interested in how things can be manipulated, moved out of his way or used, twisted to his desires ... Needless to say, he's never really been a dependable or reliable one, someone who only looks out for himself primarily and could not give a singular thought as to the well-being of anything outside of his own personal reach.

Okeanos is a rather manipulative sort, curious to see if he can get his fellow Pae'il to go along with what he desires and wishes. Outside of that, he seems to have relatively little emotion unless a detached scorn or sarcasm counts, which has resulted in him coming off as rather callous. He's a hard Pae'il to get to know and even a harder Pae'il to like, his positives being his intelligence and his cunning, along with a winning, dripping smile that can make him seem ... at least pleasant.

Okeanos' Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Growing Up - Okeanos ... didn't necessarily start out balanced, despite himself, a destructive curiosity starting from the moment he gained his Tsunami-based powers. It was a curiosity one Leitha only encouraged, as they started what might have been a rather elaborate game, bouncing off each other in chases and fights galore.
  • Emotionally Blank - Not so much disapproving as he was apathetic, Okeanos distanced himself from Leitha when her attentions seemed to shift tune too much for him, moving to keep to himself.
  • Loka Nei Forest - Okeanos went on an adventure tour of the Loka Nei Forest, because honestly, why not? He ran into someone he had met previously while there, getting stranded with her in a swampland. Cressida, or "Green" as he insisted on calling her, and Okeanos ventured through the forest, even witnessing a strange vision that left Okeanos with an instrument and both of them with a coin of some sort.
  • Presently... - Okeanos currently stays as a loner for the most part, living near the cliffs by the base of a tree. Very few pae visit him, though Cressida has come by a lot recently, leading to a strange, psuedo-friendship between the two, if what they have could be called that...

Personality: Vangelis is a bit unusual for a Faun, holding no special reverences, no particular spirituality, and no real attachment to Laisidhiel and the ways of those who live within her. He prefers to keep to himself, away from Laisidhiel, and with the demon who raised him, one Texas Pete.

Vangelis is a quiet young faun, preferring to communicate through means other than what he finds to be rather clunky words, but when he does speak, it is short and sweet, and often speaks to the intelligence and wisdom behind his eyes. He was raised well by Texas, and mirrors many of his behaviors, a natural skepticism instilled in him from the start. Despite preferring to keep to himself, he is naturally curious, and when presented with an opportunity to learn something new, it is hard for him to pass up unless it requires returning to the tree, which he actively avoids.

The blue faun is willing to lend a helping hand when able, and willing to entertain with music even more so. Despite that, his general demeanor is rather plain, and he can come off as rather dry, even apathetic, at times. It is mostly just a cover for the emotion that does go on underneath, which he has trouble articulating properly in his speech.


Weapon: May borrow his father's flintlock on occasion, but otherwise owns no weapon.

Vangelis' Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Isle Fall - Vangelis was one of the acorns that fell from Laisidhiel when the Isle fell, and Laisidhiel with it. The acorn was discovered by one Texas Pete, who took it upon himself to raise the small faun to adulthood. This consequently resulted in Vangelis not behaving like the average faun...
  • Faunapalooza - Faunapalooza was the mark of the first time Vangelis had made a personal effort to return to the tree, as a teenager. He was rather baffled by the traditions that the Faun spoke of, and ended up staying towards the back, watching and doing little else to participate. It was Faunapalooza that solidified how little Vangelis wanted to deal with how the Faun lived, and when he left the tree, he left for good.
  • The New Kids - Vangelis stayed with Texas through the storm, and through gaining two more children to take care of, Magnus' Mikasi and Texas' own Ignatius. Vangelis took to them like an older brother, getting along with both rather well, and both took him rather seriously. Vangelis ended up making his home permanently in Texas' house, helping Texas with whom he considered his little brothers as they grew up.
  • Phantom Pain - One day, Vangelis felt a deep pain in his heart, which he couldn't quite tell the origin of. Ignatius, in a panic, told his brother to sit down and Texas attempted to fuss over him, but eventually, the pain passed without incident. Vangelis still does not know the origin of this sudden pain, and likely will not ever unless he is told.
  • Presently... - Vangelis remains a recluse, a rebel of the Faun ways through and through. He does not dislike his fellow Faun, and will speak fondly of some--especially Earthmother--but keeps his distance. He is mostly found at home, rather a homebody, with his various handmade instruments, and in particular, a harp which was recovered from the wreckages after the storm.

Personality: Lisandru is the son of a woman who spent most of his life treating him as some kind of experiment, and that, well, wears on a man. His behavior has definitely been affected by the way he grew up, becoming embittered at a young age despite himself. He was relatively isolated, and keeps himself as isolated to this day, rather introverted and preferring to be that way.

It isn't that Lisandru fears people, but rather, he has a general dislike of them, preferring to keep his distance. He doesn't want to get them hurt, though, so perhaps his urge to keep his distance was only compounded by the fact that his abilities prevent him from having normal interactions with other Pae'il. Perhaps he just told himself from a young age that his poisonous skin and odd bubbles made him someone who should stay away from society, and his mother only encouraged that.

When he does interact, he ends up doing it rather neutrally, arms crossed over his chest to defend himself and perhaps prevent others from getting in. It upsets him, really, but he won't let anyone else know that. No one else can come near anyway.

  • Inland Taipan - Lisandru has bonded with the Inland Taipan, giving him highly poisonous skin which is crippling to Pae'il and potentially deadly to small animals. He also has a natural resistance to poisons.

Lisandru's Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Chaotic Families - Lisandru and his twin brothers were born to a rather volatile family situation, where the mother and the father were not getting along and would continue not to get along. His father was kicked out of the house when Lisandru was fairly young, and therefore, he does not recall him well, though would be able to point him out if he saw him from a distance.
  • Experimentation - Unfortunately, the one they were left with was not exactly a model mother herself. Esmée was not terribly attached to her sons as "sons," but rather found them convenient things to learn from. That, in particular, applied to Lisandru, the son she dubbed "Bubble Butt" due to the strange bubbles that seemed to come from him. As as result, she began to run a few scientific tests on him, fascinated with the poisonous properties of what came from him.
  • Isolation - For his teenage years, he was mostly raised with Esmée, who eventually started to back off her poking at him, though still did not let him go much anywhere.   • Stranded on an Isle - Lisandru and his notoriously awful luck got himself stranded on an island with one Prisma. The two were totally opposite, Prisma excitable, Lisandru ... very much not. Still, they found a way to manage, eventually creating such things as happy happy huts in the middle of the island's jungles until they were able to escape.
  • Integration - Lisandru has moved into his own place on the Floating City of Telrunya, still near his mother, but away from her curious mind. This has given him a chance to wander on his own for the first time. The presence of his demonic bonded, Eknath, and his older brother, Alister, has given Lisandru more confidence in his ability to walk around outside, and he is more frequently seen outside his house these days.
  • Haunted Mansion - Lisandru attented the Haunted Mansion with his brother Alister, eventually running into his most frequent companion, Prisma. She dragged them throughout the house, looking for food, before they found the kitchen and a strange dumbwaiter, which Prisma was dragged down. Lisandru, in a panic, nearly jumped after her, but Alister stopped his brother and dragged him away. Everything after that began to fade, and when he woke up, they were all sleeping outside for no reason...
  • Presently... - Lisandru is currently wrestling with what might be some sensation of a feeling for the strange Prisma -- he can't let that stand, right? But she's so sweet...

  • Poison? - Lisandru's skin secretes a poison which is mildly poisonous to Pae'il, although not deadly. Would anyone be willing to tolerate him long enough, or is anyone immune to his poison? These are the people who would likely get along best with him.

Personality: Aeroniel is a foil to Tariel, in a sense. Where Tariel is warm and loving, Aeroniel is chilly and ... very much not loving. She's someone who is routed in the logic that Tariel has so much trouble finding, and contrasts her element in a lot of ways. She isn't free-flowing, she isn't emotional, she isn't constantly changing.

No, Aeroniel is steady.

Steady as she goes is how Aeroniel is, and perhaps that is rather easy to do when not much can shake her from where she stands. Aeroniel can see a lot of things coming before they do--at least, in the sense of deception, or of bad pae'il behavior--and tends to act like she does. She stays cool and observes, attempting to make sure no one will harm the queen before proceeding in anything--and if they will, she'll cut them off where they stand. Verbally, anyway.

Note that Aeroniel is extremely traditional when it comes to her gender views. She does see men as unequal, and if they attempt to push outside of their roles, she will become agitated.

Aeroniel's Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Arrival to the Isle - Aeroniel was one of those originally dedicated to the queen, surrounding her as her Lady In-Waiting and her Right Hand. This proceeded even when the Isle slammed into their home, merging their home with the Tuatha'Ri Lake. Aeroniel found the Isle rather confusing and still dislikes it to this day, staying under the waters with Tariel.
  • Temporary Leadership - Aeroniel's life is relatively uneventful as she tends to keep to her post, but keeping to her post was what caused this to happen, as well. When Tariel and Turin went missing, it was Aeroniel's job to take over as the Queen in her absence. The power was something Aeroniel relished, and while she did not rule as kindly as Tariel, she did rule firmly. She kept the naiad calm while sending out search parties to find her dear queen.
  • Disconnect - Aeroniel visited the Faun, along with leader Tariel, Turin, Itsaso, and Anatolio. The visit was mixed in with baffling faun mystics which she could not understand, claims at a past life which only seemed to hurt Tariel and Turin nonsensically. The blips of images she was able to glean from Turin and the emotional roller coaster that the entire trip seemed to be leaving many of them on eventually made Aeroniel stand up and snap at the others for them to quiet their nonsense. Needless to say, this hasn't gone over well. Only worsened by the knowledge that Tariel and Turin decided to enter a relationship, Aeroniel disconnected from the rest of her Court.
  • Presently... - The rift begun months ago has only grown worse, Aeroniel avoiding Tariel entirely outside of official functions. She has closed into herself when it comes to her previous friends, and seems angrier than ever.

Personality: Careen seems to be forever young. Even as others grow up around her, other mateys that she was used to seeing as her age, she continues to remain young. For someone who has seen so much, that weighs on her, and though she keeps an extremely cheerful exterior, on the inside, Careen has found herself a bit lonely.

She is dedicated to her work, though, and she has an enthusiasm for the water that is almost unparalleled. Though she may often be lonely, she finds that amoungst those of the water, she is never alone. She love boats, fish, naiads, anything about the water is something Careen holds dear and will treat with extreme enthusiasm.

She may also enjoy the confidence boost when people praise her for her crafting ability, as well as the literal boost she gets from the money she is paid for it.

Personality: In a lot of ways, Zaria is still very much a child.

In other ways, she isn't at all.

Zaria never let go of that childish happiness she always clung to, extremely hyper and almost a little too daring when it comes to her own safety. Nothing really seems to phase her, and to be honest, nothing much does. There is a permanent happy-go-lucky sensation to how she lives, even when her other side takes over, and deviousness slips into her nature as well.

She doesn't seem to understand the concept of personal space or the idea that anyone is introverted, and is always trying to butt into people's bubbles and drag them out of it. This especially applies to her brother, which, while he does like her, likely gets tired of her dragging him across the isle in a mission to socialize. But even if he won't socialize, she'll find ways to socialize with others, getting right in their face with enthusiasm and joy.

Zaria's Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Birth - Zaria was born to two parents who eventually ended up hating each other to the point of complete avoidance. When Amapola insisted Criofan help out with the children, he ended up agreeing to take Zaria entirely and left with her, taking her into his own house to raise her. In the process, Zaria ended up with very little to no memory the other part of her biological family.
  • Raised with Criofan - Zaria made things very chaotic to Criofan, especially once she gained her powers. As Zaria grew, while she gained some maturity under the surface, externally, she still remained much the same. It resulted in Criofan constantly being run ragged by his daughter, but he was attached to her anyway.
  • Ei-Kal and Kheliot - Zaria, at first, didn't know what to think of Criofan's new "shiny" and the shiny's son. It didn't take long, though, for Zaria to take to them, especially to the introverted, nervous Kheliot, who became someone she insisted on keeping by her side. She quickly grew used to the idea of Ei-Kal as a father, and treated him like one.
  • Presently.. - Zaria lives with Criofan and Ei-Kal and brother Kheliot. She's as cheerful and crazy as ever, and her new luck-related ability only boosts that. It is hard to find her without her family, whom she is very attached to.

She's bright, mischievous, curious, and happy, a lot like any child, really.

Personality: Mikasi is definitely a very thorough mixture of both of his parents. From Magnus comes his laziness, his lack of will to do anything but curl up and enjoy comfort. From Kane comes his attitude, his way of bucking authority, his anger, and even some portion of his abilities.

This lends to an interesting combination, someone who is too cool to care but, at the same time, someone who, when he has to care, gets very passionate about it. He avoids situations where he would have to care, though, usually dragged into them kicking and screaming by Ignatius, who isn't nearly the same type of person Mikasi is.

In a lot of ways, they mirror their previous generations.

Powers and Abilities
  • Domestic Cat - Mikasi has bonded to the domesticated cat, giving him many of the sharpened senses, dexterity, and behavioral tendencies of a cat.
  • Sanity Theft - Mikasi, like his father, can draw the sanity from others, but his manifests as a theft, stealing it away to restore or boost his own sanity while causing the one he steals it from to dip into insanity. How deep this insanity goes and how long it takes for the Pae'il to recover from it will depend on how much is taken.

Mikasi's Story - Major Milestones and Plot Points
  • Confusing Youth - Mikasi is the child of Magnus Vis, and it is obvious by his appearance, but without appearances, Mikasi would seem like another Texan child. Raised alongside Ignatius with Vangelis as a big brother, Mikasi attached to his cousins like a brother and sees Magnus as little more than an irritant.
  • Danger in the Forest - Mikasi and Ignatius stumbled upon the trouble in the forest in a rather innocuous manner, simply looking for one of their Uncle Criofan's caches. They ended up finding themselves with Earthmother--who Mikasi hopelessly tried to flirt with--some squires, a fauny princess, and Thara, who warned them of a dragon and chased them away with bad sensations. Mikasi himself ended up traveling back with Kane, who he soon found out was his father. Feeling snubbed by him as much as he was snubbed by Magnus, Mikasi makes the effort to end the trip as soon as possible.
  • Haunted Mansion - Mikasi attended the Haunted Mansion with the hopes of finding himself a nice person to spend the evening with, but instead, Vangelis found one, and Mikasi ended up haunted by ghosts and awakening in a forest with no one. He is not terribly fond of haunted mansions anymore...
  • The Afterparty - Determined to prove to Vangelis that he can succeed in flirtations, Mikasi dragged Ignatius with him to Venus' Party in an attempt to find someone to bring home. After growing distracted by Kasmai, he was shot by an arrow and grew distracted by another: Pix. He would rather forget the night he spent on the floor, encouraging Pix to stab the floor...
  • Presently... - When not being hopelessly lazy, or hopelessly arguing with his father, Mikasi keeps trying to hopelessly flirt with pae. Really, the nymph can't win...
