Heh heh - yeah, name-calling is usually one of the last things people should be doing in a debate. If you're reduced to attacking your opponent directly, then it suggests you have nothing else with which to refute them. More importantly, behaving in a calm, civil manner is usually more persuasive, and people are much more likely to listen to you if you sound reasonable and intelligent instead of angry and out-of-control.
