I don't think the rules are that bad. I've had someone come to me and ask to break off a lifemating because we weren't rping as much as we'd hoped (entirely my fault) and I agreed. It really was a simple matter. I waited out the penalty and then some and eventually found my boy a new mate. And me and other owner had no fights over it and have another pair together that we kept. So really I think everyone is going to the absolute worst case scenerio with this and forgetting that in general people are going to understand and be ok with breaking lifemates for whatever reason you want. I really don't see anyone trapping anyone else in a pairing. Asking for all owners to agree is more for an acknowledgement, the only sure way that staff can prove that all involved were notified. Maybe it's annoying, but it's not that big a deal. //mytwocents
