[ Round 1 ] Dusty Road: [ Winner: Ken ]

[Ergo War]

An old road, overgrown with weeds. A path has been beaten solid by the feet of innumerable prisoners. All around it are fences topped with barbed wire, though no escapee was ever fortunate enough to make it this far. Those lucky enough to live to walk it twice were few and far between.

Knives grumbled, protection duty something that was annoying and stupid in his mind but it was the decision for the exams this time around. He picked up his dummy and headed off to a location where he could keep it hidden and safe because staying near something wasn't his style. After Rouran close combat was nothing, but protection duty was never fun.

Shito finally arrivedat the dusty road. 'I hate having to protect things' He thought to him self. Shito didn't see his oppent yet, his oppenent must either must be her hiding or not here yet. Shito went over to one end of the road and got ready for what he had to do.

Ken had hid away his protected dummy within the area. One less thing to worry about, but he knew he could get to it soon enough. He noticed his opponent at the end of the road and almost felt sorry for him, or maybe it was himself he felt sorry for. He understood that there were other points to being a ninja rather than just fighting, but that's all he had really ever known. "Seems like a nice day for a fight." he said loud enough to be heard but still out of sight for now to his opponent who was preparing himself still it seemed.

Shito heard a voice coming from the other side of road. "Well, don't be to full of youre self there." Shito shouted back. He used his senses to find where his opponent is and was able to pin point where he was exactly. Shito hid the dummy on his side of the road so that it would be harder for his opponent to find it. Shito didn't know if the other guy could see him or not. He really hoped that the other guy couldn't see him. Once the dummy was hidden, Shito jumped in to the ground so that he could hide himself.

"Ah the Earth Military movement." Ken chuckled moving and coming out into the open as that's how he enjoyed to fight. "I'm not full of myself, just enjoy the confidence I have." he smiled and took a stance and waited for his opponent to show himself, for he could only swim in the ground for so long.

He readied himself knowing that the way he fought the only way to really win this fight was to immobilize his enemy and get the information he needed out of him where his dummy was.

By jumping in to the ground, Shito was able to bring his opponent closer to him. Shito swam under the ground so that he was right under the other guy. He was able to pin point where his opponent was by using his sense's. So, when Shito got under his opponent, he made just one hand sign and focused on his opponents leg. Shito then sprung from the ground grabbing on to his opponents leg and dragging him in to the ground. Hoping that the other guy was immobilized. Shito jumped out at right after so then his opponent would be in the ground and Shito was on top.

Knives was caught off for a brief moment, but he wasn't too surprised. As he felt the ground pull away Knives had known this combination was coming, it was well known and the typical combination. Knives would dodge using his Kiss of Flesh and Steel Kisumaku technique, jumping back on his back but catching himself, and as Shito landed he would take his slash at his opponents legs.

"Not bad, not bad." he said looking at Shito both Genin on level ground looking at each other Knives prepared at at the ready. Upon landing Knives would charge at his opponent his blade filled with Chakra to get at his defenses, finishing with a kick towards his opponent's torso.

Shito was surprised that his simple trick didn't work. "So, you must be pretty good to be able to dodge that." Shito said right when his opponent charged at him. The slashing of the sword was just a simple thing as shito just jumped over it as it was his legs. He was ready for this and quickly formed the hand signs to create an earth clone. The clone was formed right between Shito and his opponent for protection. Shito also made another clone at the exact same time he made the other one. He hoped that the first one would be enough of a distraction for Shito to get some distance. Once he got some distance, Shito then used his hidden mist technique around his opponent. Once that was complete Shito would then have some time to plan something else.

This is where his size was to his advantage. While they may have clones, the size of Knives was enough to bowl through them as he saw the hand signs he continued his charge through both newly made clones and headed right at Shito. Just as his opponent began his hand signs he dropped one of his knives and let fly by kicking it at his opponent, while normally aimed at the head, this time it was aimed at his opponent's leg. If it did not hit it would make for a decent enough distraction to interrupt the hand signs required.

Taking this moment of distraction to his benefit Knives would grab hold of his opponent's clothing looking him dead in the eye. His grip tightening around his opponent's shirt.

Shito was able to finish the needed hand signs right before his opponent grabbed on to his clothes. Shito was able to maintain his concentration while he was dodging his opponents kicks. Lucky for Shito, close combat was his specialty. He knew already that his opponent was a skilled swordsman and had no chance at betting him with pure skill. This needed a lot of luck on Shito's part if he wanted to win.

There was a lot of fog everywhere and Shito hoped that the fog would prove effective against his opponent. "You're a strong one there." Shito said as he was being held by his clothes. "Lucky for you, I don't want to kill you. I just want your dummy." Shito quickly grabbed a kuni and threw it at his opponents foot. The plan was to disguise his true attack with the kuni. Right when the kuni landed, Shito immediately punched his opponent in the side of the head, hoping for him to let go.

Ken just smiled as he was able to grab his opponent and gain the control he wanted. "Fog won't do much good when we're this close friend." he chuckled sweeping his opponent with his foot and taking him over his hip to land on top of him. The sweeping motion of his foot would allow for the narrow miss of the kunai into the dirt. Knives did not see the punch coming towards his face til the last minute before executing the move. Knives took the punch with a smile as he felt the punch upon his head. He would continue his technique landing on his opponent, his size combined with the hard ground would be bad enough. The position he would end up in would prevent movement, not to mention given the weight and size difference would cause some breathing problems for Shito.

"I'd say the same about you and not wanting to kill you." he chuckled applying pressure into the diaphragm of his opponent, and began to apply punches to his opponent's body and face.

When Shito saw that his opponent just let him punch him even with a smile on his face, he knew right then that he was going to be brought down to the ground. Shito was definitely going to have a really tough time with this guy. When Shito was brought down to the ground he said, "You think you have me do you." Shito was getting a little full of him self, not knowing his enemies full potential. while Shito was talking to his opponent, he was gathering wind and chakra in to a ball. Shito would immediately throw the ball at his opponents side. Shito really needed his opponent to get off, if he didn't then Shito would soon have a lot harder trouble breathing and have some broken ribs from the punches. Right when the ball of wind chakra exploded, Shito sunk down in to the ground using his earth movement again. Shito's fog was never meant to be totally effective, it was mainly a diversion to Shito's main assault.

The explosion would cause a few cuts on Ken, but being so close such an explosion would cause problems for his opponent as well. The blast would be lessened by the sand shield of the Ichibi, but the concussive force would still be nasty to both Ken and Shito.

Ken would get another punch in on Shito before he dove into the ground. "You're a fan of the diving into the ground, just like James-sensai is in our village." he chuckled get up higher on top of one of the fences after cutting an area of barbed wire. "It seems we're at an impasse, as neither of us know where the others dummy is." he chuckled knowing his opponent could still hear him.

"So it would seem the only one the other can win, is to beat the information out of him." he smiled speaking mostly to himself. "That or we reach the time limit before anything happens. Either way, a victory for both of us would happen." he chuckled and waited on his opponent, if he was going to keep diving into the earth, he'd have to lock onto him, that or break his arms to prevent any movement.

Because the fog was still around, it helped Shito out with being able to come out of the ground and not be seen. He sensed that his opponent had gone up and his higher in the air then before. "Well let's hope that we don't get the information from each other to soon." Shito said as he created five other earth clones. "This is starting to be fun." Shito grabbed his chest and went down to one knee. His chest was in a lot of pain. From the explosion going off and the last punch he took, Shito needed a medic. Lucky for him though, he still had enough chakra to pull off an attack that he didn't want to use. Because it was at such a stale mate, Shito had to revert to an attack he never wanted to use unless in a life or death situation.

Shito's clones spreed out in a line where the middle one would be right in his opponents path. The clones started to run forward and once they got close enough, would then form a horse shoe shape and box his opponent in. While his clones where running, Shito focused his chakra in to his hands. He would unleash it right when his clones came upon his opponent. Air pressure rushed out from Shito's hands and towards his opponent. The massive gust of wind came rushing at his opponent taking out and destroying everything in its path. Shito then pulled out his dagger and rushed forward.
