I'm at the point where I'd love to lose a bit of weight and I'm pretty good with eating healthy at home as well as exercising, but when it comes to snacks at school, that's where I go a bit wrong.
So I was wondering if any of you know of any VERY low calorie snacks? I know my one friend takes celery to school, so by the time she's eaten all of it, she hasn't eaten any calories. Are there any other foods with low calories like that?

I'm having trouble with snacks too. I tend to eat apples, berries, cucumbers, *portioned* almonds, carrots, string cheese, apple sauce (with no added sugar), other veggies like mushrooms, bell peppers, zucchini, etc. There's also some egg rolls from the deli(?) section at Walmart of all places that are decent with calories; I eat the vegetarian ones.
I will caution against granola bars. If you look at the nutritional label, there isn't much there that's healthy for you *even if they claim to be healthy*. I have not found a good granola bar yet.
Hope that helped some :3

A banana, strawberries with some Greek yogurt, Greek yogurt by itself, and sliced and baked apples with a sprinkle of cinnamon is also good.

I know, snacks can be a pain.. But any veggie are good low calorie, but filling foods. When I was in school I took baby carrots, broccoli, bell peppers (chopped), whatever was in bulk in Costco. BUT, I recently found these Kashi granola bars. I know a lot of them are loaded with unneeded sugar and just plain crap. But I just picked up these new ones I seen; called 7 Whole grains and Almonds. And they only have 5 grams of sugar and Kashi uses only natural ingredients. It has 7 whole grains and sweetened with brown rice syrup and maple syrup. Also has chopped almonds for that added protein! (Which I love, because I'm trying to build up muscle) Oh, I forgot to add in that they're only 150 calories!

I was going to suggest celery emotion_donotwant
Buuuut, most vegetables are good, even if they dont taste so good... Stay away from those "healthy" muesli bars, they're crap...

Blackberries, celery, and peanut butter cracker snacks. Even though they have some calories, I luffles them.

Cucumbers or chopped cabbage with oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Chips & salsa without the chips -- replace with cucumbers or slices of bell peppers.
Baked cauliflower, has a nice crunch.
Wrap a lunch meat in lettuce and eat with mustard; feels like a sandwich, but isn't.
Carrot sticks with blue cheese crumbles; offers nice flavor and few carbs/calories.
Cottage cheese with cantaloupe.
My recommendation for losing weight (helped me lose 2 lbs per week last year): Avoid excess carbs like the plague. Limiting to ~15 carbs per day will help you lose weight and still give your brain and body the energy it needs to function. Potatoes, breads, nuts, fruits, and even "healthy" granola bars -- avoid eating large quantities of any of these things. Go for eggs in the morning. Your lunch/dinner plate should be a source of protein (meat, poultry, or fish) and vegetables; if you need a grain, go for a small portion of brown rice.
Good luck! smile

carrots in various forms: baby carrots, whole carrots, carrot "chips" (sliced like carrots), carrots + hummus, carrots + low fat mayo, carrots + salsa
cucumber salad: chopped cucumbers and tomatoes, diced onions, lemon juice, salt, parsley
microwaved steamer packs of veggies
frozen grapes
frozen (peeled) bananas
sliced strawberries
toasted pita bread sprinkled with spices
popcorn is actually very low in calories for how filling it is and it feels like you're eating a lot more than you actually are
plain shredded lettuce is fun to eat
also portioned chocolate chips are fairly low in calories in you need a chocolate fix plus the feeling of munching/grazing because you get to eat multiple small morsels that per serving only add up to about 100 calories

You can't go wrong with veggies in little snack bags.
