Pharmakeia

It is sickening that vaccines can have those type of ingredients in it - it definitely should raise question and alternatives should be searched for.

I also see the article trying to convince people that all vaccine's are terrible as well as medical treatment in general.

Strong's G5331 - Pharmakeia

1) the use or the administering of drugs

2) poisoning

3) sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it

4) metaph. the deceptions and seductions of idolatry

In Galatians 5:20 - according to the Greek, yes, the word "Pharmakeia" is used with the meanings for definition 3.

Also, in definition 1, the use of the word "drugs" I have not seen specified. During that time period, there were no over the counter medications like there are today and not many prescribed drugs. Doctors often has to use what they had and some I can believe probably used witchcraft since they saw it as either easier or the only way they knew how to cure or infect.

We also need to remember that the practice of using medicine to make people feel better has been called "black magic" and "witchcraft" for a long time, especially in that time period. Witchcraft I have no doubt could be used to cure or inflict illness, although witchcraft has a heavy price and using witchcraft to cure or infect somebody is using spiritual aspects that aren't having to do with God. For years, medicine and magic were one and the same type of practice to society whether it was truly witchcraft or not. Where there were times where certain doctors in a village or town were called "witch doctors", they often mixed herbs together to cure an illness or create an illness and possibly did certain healing rituals in an individual and this was often the only doctor available to the people. Witch doctors many times were unsuccessful and when this happened, they generally blamed their gods or that the patient had a lot of unworthiness. This is definitely not a good way to be in God's eyes.

Taking harmful drugs has been inquired into Pagan rituals - these harmful drugs were commonly harmful herbs that were considered hallucinogens. In this case, it was drug abuse to the body. This did not help them in any way medically and only influenced dark activity.

Revelation 9:21 and Revelation 18:23 may be referring to the same type of deal. Drugs such as hallucinogens that would be taken without the actual need to take them could definitely harm a person's temple.

My take in the matter is that God gave people the intelligence to make medicines to help others. The methods they use can at times be questionable, while other times not so much. There are many people in this world that need to take prescription drugs in order to stay alive. I'm sure it's not a fun thing to deal with because there will be medications that will and won't work, dosages that need to be changed, and coming off of a medication can be difficult because of adverse side effects. These drugs can be abused by other people in excessive amounts, which is more of a problem because an addict may take enough to cause deathly adverse side effects.

Also, most medications treat a condition and don't cure it. There are plenty of illnesses out there that can't be cured by human hands, only treated in order to slow down the illness or keep the illness away. Some medications can cure, but it does take time - generally a type of antibiotic.

I believe that God sent people into this world in order to be doctors and work in the medical field in order to help his people. What about doctors that go to another country and help people as they witness to them in a country they can be put to death for? Are they bad people if they are doing their absolute best to serve the Lord?

If we are aware what is in a prescription drug - we can search for alternatives if at all possible. Best of all, we can continue to pray for healing because God is the great physician and when we are healed, we can wean ourselves off of prescription drugs and medications.

My issue with this view is that it can cause Christians to treat other Christians or people with medical conditions differently. It can cause Christians that are physically healthy with no medical problems that don't need prescribed drugs to treat other Christians or other people like they are cursed or aren't following God's word completely. Some Christians think others are cursed by Satan and unworthy of anything over something that person may not be able to help when Salvation is for everyone who believes in Jesus Christ.

Also, if a person mentions connection between taking prescribed drugs and witchcraft or sorcery and that it harms the temple - we also take showers every day where there are chemicals that can be harmful treating that water such as chlorine. So, does that mean we need to have a well of untreated water to shower or drink? A lot of us have the convenience of water filters, too - so are those bad? What about those who live in an area with pollution so bad they need to wear face masks? Between putting on and taking off those masks - they breathe in pollution. A lot of city dwellers deal with breathing in pollution every day that is harmful to our health so is that all our fault? A lot of air fresheners, non-stick pans, and other items have harmful substances as well and some responsible for miscarriages or infertility. Most of us have probably used them not aware of what they could do to us and was it our fault that we weren't aware of the ingredients in them and potential health concerns?
