I have combination skin, with an oily forehead, nose and chin, but dry cheeks. But, there is always light acne on my cheeks even though it's a relatively dry area. Does anyone else get this? How do you go about cleaning your face without making the oily spots more oily and the dry spots more dry? Right now I just clean my face with water. I used to use a Biore scrub but they must of changed the ingredients or something when they got a new look because it makes my skin majorly oily now. Do you use one product only on your dry skin, and another product only on your oily skin? Could it just be my eating habits? >__< I'd like to have a healthy glow, and clearer skin. [:

I tend to get oily skin around the nose and chin, whilst I get dry skin on the sides of my mouth. I use a variety of products like Triclosan soap, a Pomegranate scrub, sometimes a mint facial masque and Ponds cold cream (great for pimples!). I use this routine two times a day - morning and night. It seems to have worked for me, leaving my skin fresh and soft with a lot less oil and breakouts. I hope this helps~ <3 But everyone's skin is different.

my nose gets a tad oily so i use blotting paper to rid of excess oil. i just wash it with a daily face scrub and use an oil free moisturizer for dry areas. usually, skin tries to compensate for dryness with oil and that's why skin gets oily, so i suggest you drink lots of water, and moisturize your face daily o.o

I use a little bit of sugar in some lemon juice to exfoliate once a week. The acidity of the lemon is meant to help control your faces natural oils without being too harsh like a lot of the chemical solutions you can buy. That might be helpful to clear up your cheeks without being too drying?

I just get a little oily at times, it's only my arms and legs that can get dry at times but that's normally in the winter if I haven't used lotion often so I don't really have an issue with that. if you want you could try witch hazel, that's what I use on my face. it's natural and both cleans and conditions while helping your skin with balance and even tone, you find it just about anywhere and it's really great

I do! *puts hand up*

So last year I bought a tea-tree oil facial gel, and a little scrubber thing to use to wash my face, and also a matte day cream (to moisturise dry areas and prevent shine in oily areas), I use this twice a day, but when my my diet was poor, I broke out more, so I used the scrubber furiously, which made my skin even worse.

When it was at its worst, which was not too long ago actually, I tried using oatmeal to wash my face. And oh my goodness did it work! I just grabbed a palm full of oats, and then with a closed fist, I held it under water until all the oats were soaked. I squeezed the milky liquid it left into my other hand and put it onto my face, then I used the oats, and rubbed it over my face.

My skin felt great, it still feels great, because I still use oatmeal in the morning, and then I use the tea-tree oil gel at night (but not as harshly)

Sorry if this was long, but moisturiser is very important, so dont forget. Also, drink plenty of water, as it will help keep your body hydrated.

Good luck!
