I usually just celebrate it with family. I like going to birthday parties but I don't like having them sweatdrop too much work to make sure everyone is having a good time and everyone waiting for me to tell them what to do....not for me.

Well my mom bakes three cakes, and I only have like four friends who show up lol. Some of my moms friends show up, but they don't stay for long :/ then I open present's, and we just go swimming and throw water balloons and stuff 3nodding it's pretty fun actually. But I've always wanted to ask someone this, why is there even a sweet sixteen party? It's just another year of life sweatdrop

I'm turning 16 this year, so hopefully I'll get to go camping with a few friends for my birthday. Trying not to get my hopes up to much yet though.

I had to work on my birthday. >~< But beforehand, I got to spend time with my mom since it was Mother's Day the day before. After I got off work, I celebrated with friends and we watched movies.

It's just another year of life sweatdrop I've wondered the same thing...the only thing that makes it special is maybe because that's when you can get your licence but I think it would make more sense for your 18th to be a huge deal then a "sweet sixteen"

I would usually celebrate it, but for the ages that I do not like that are soon to come up....15, 17, and 19 I am not celebrating those birthdays. I would probably just be going somewhere.
