NAME OF CLASS: Arts and Crafts 101
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Zixil Braxton

General information:
The Arts and Crafts room is tucked away in the corner - one way in and out, which is just how the teacher likes it. The classroom looks normal enough from the outside, with its standard door and numberplate (with an added addendum by the teacher, his name and the class title added on a piece of Muck Tape). The inside, however, looks like someone found all of the weird, eclectic stuff within a five mile radius, ate it, and then vomited it all up. The teacher has either completely lost his mind, or is trying way, way too hard. The cabinets that line the walls are partially filled with beginner art supplies: slime-based paints, earwax crayons, and...glitter, a thing so evil that it can be known by no other name.

Mechanics:
Your Most Excellent Professor isn't going to fill your head with crazy ideas. That's all up to you!

Upon entering the class, roll 1d100 to determine your Muse Level (ML).

Muse Level 1-20

Woah, you can't make art with a Muse Level this low! Go stare longingly at your first crush, or listen to emotional music, or cry it out! We can't have you making anything that's worth less than 20 silver seeds beneath your actual capabilities.

Muse Level 21-50

Did you dip yourself in paint and roll your face over the canvas? That's not going to be acceptable. Nobody will want to buy this. Or look at it. Not even kind of.

Muse Level 51-80

Looks like you might have the right idea. Go ahead and give it a shot. I guess the worst thing that could happen is you ruin everything, but that's okay.

Muse Level 81-100

Got a real overachiever here! Creativity is oozing from your pores (seriously clean that stuff up please)!

If you roll 1-50, you will need to make another attempt. A roll of 51-100 allows you to proceed. The above information correlating to your ML gives you a good idea of how your student will be approaching this assignment.

If you succeeded in developing a passable Muse Level, you will then need to roll a 1d10 to determine to overall success of your drawing/painting/sculpture etc. Feel free to pick whatever medium you'd like!

1-3 You really poured yourself into this one, but the Professor isn't quite feeling it. Take it home and pin it on your wall, because that's all you're getting. (Fail. You'll have to make another attempt!)
4-9 You paid careful attention to details, color schemes, and - most importantly - marketability. Professor Braxton smashes a sickly note to your body with a sloppy "A" written on it, because ruining the art would be a travesty. As far as you can tell, you've done a good thing. (Pass!)
10 You are a prodigy! This thing belongs in a museum! Or the home of the highest bidder! Your artwork will be displayed in front of the entire class. Hope you're not shy. (SUPER-PASS!)

You must RP your student creating their...well, whatever they make.

Bonus Mechanics:
•If you include a DRAWN representation of the piece of art that your student creates, you can automatically add 2 to your success roll, ultimately bringing up their final score. These drawings do not have to be anything fantastic, and can be as detailed or non-detailed as you want.

•Any student who is able to use magic to create illusions can roll 1d4 to determine how amazing their artwork appears. Which is what matters. If you roll even, you can add 1 point. If you roll odd, no points can be added. This can not be combined with the 2 points you can add when including an image.

•Any student who lacks dexterity (lookin' at you, claw-handed monsters) can roll 1d4 to determine their ability to talk Professor Braxton into believing that the piece of art's concept is going over his head and is, in fact, a true masterpiece. If you roll even, you can add 1 point. If you roll odd, no points can be added. This can not be combined with the 2 points you can add when including an image.

Each visit to the classroom has the potential to span multiple posts due to the amount of dice rolls. You can interact with other students, try to steal their concepts - whatever you'd like to play out!

YOU COMPLETE THE CLASS WHEN

You pass the class!

Spinar had a slightly hard time finding the Arts and Crafts room, mostly because the jacking thing was tucked away in a corner and very easy to overlook. Make that especially easy to overlook if you weren't really wanting to attend class like a certain frost demon..

Pausing in front of the door Spinar runs over the muck tape addendum and snorts. This was going to be good, though it couldn't possibly be worse than the class he had attended with Ren. Sucking up his attitude he put on a forced smile and started into the room peering around lazily for the teacher and any sign of other students. The view while a little scarce of students was interesting enough with all the crazy electronic..uh...sculptors laying here and there.

Thrumming his long blue nails against his leg Spinar entered the art room further and looked towards the Professor, only to deadpan moments later when he was instructed to create something. Something? The lack of an actual assignment annoyed the demon to high jack, why couldn't this school be jacking normal? How was he suppose to make something and pass without knowing what he needed to make? Sighing in defeat since arguing with a professor could only land him in detention with that useless Secretary he shakes his head and moves towards the supplies along the wall.

Picking up a piece of white construction paper and some earwax crayons he moves to an empty seat and stares at the blank paper for a moment. Ugg, jack, why had he came alone? At least with someone else here he could cheat off their idea- or at least have better conversation than professor nonsense. He smiles innocently up to the Professor for a moment before looking back to the paper.

What to draw. . .

Spinar grinned after a seconds thought, a brilliant idea coming to mind or so he thought. He would draw himself, since there was really nothing better than him. Pulling out a black earwax crayon he started on a rough sketch only to be eyed by the teacher harshly. Tucking more towards the desk he continued to doodle drawing oddly shaped horns off the doodles head. After what seemed liked forever he was finally coloring in the blue skin then presenting to doodle to the Professor with a smug grin, only to have said grin wiped clear off his face at the fail.

The failure and clear laughter he caught in the Professor's eyes struck a nerve. A loud never that had him claiming the drawing was merely a warm but before crumpling it up and tossing it into the waste basket by the door. Slapping his crayon down on the table he stands back up and moves to grab some poster board and some slime based paints.

So he couldn't draw jacking creatures but there was one thing he knew he could draw easily...casketball!

Back at the table he started in on his new 'master piece'

A circle here some lines there and boom he was done! A large not to shabby casketball was drawn directly in the center of the poster board around it were several admiring fans of the obvious shot! Spinar proudly looked at the poster and decided that even though the Professor wasn't as impressed with his work as he was, that he was going to take this to Rosy and let her develop the casketball club posters around it!

Standing up he tucks the poster under an arm and gives a cheeky salute to the Professor promising to be back later to try this again, false promise sure put a grin on his face.

Grabbing up some paper and some slime based paint the boil made his way towards an empty seat. Once again he was back in the art room and once again he wasn't feeling the flow of creativity. Drawing a few circles on his paper for warm up he casually drifted from actual work to looking out of the art room windows. It was such a nice day outside why was he still inside?

Having not been paying much attention it wasn't surprising when he looked down and noticed his brush had went clear off the paper and on to the desk. Well that wasn't much of a pretty picture was it? Spinar sighed and cleaned off his paint brush, crumpling up his paper he tosses it at the waste basket then looks towards the clay sitting out.

With a glance towards the professor he moved towards the clay and picks up a good hunk of it. Fiddling with it as he moves back to his seat and starts to pinch the clay into small balls.

Lining the pieces of clay up he looks over each ball while trying to think of something to make. Not another casket ball that was for sure, circular things just wasn't happening. Maybe he could make a casket? A simple shape and it really wasn't hard to craft, he could even use the tip of his claw to make simple designs in the top. Debating the idea he rubs over his chin while leaning on the desk and staring longingly at the clay pieces.

Casket, spider, or maybe a bat? Spinar stared at the clay each idea that popped to his mind more of a let down than the last. Sighing he admitted to himself at least that art just wasn't his forte. Picking up the pieces he starts to randomly shape out something, a dull look to his pale blue eyes.

After awhile of random shapes and redoes Spinar finally had a start. Grinning mischievously down to the the clay figure he chuckled and kept working silently. After a few moments of focused work he leaned back and cocked his head to the side to admire the view.

It looked fantastic if he said so himself, raising a hand he await the teacher to head over and judge his work.

The professor leaned in closer and was apparently impressed enough with the replica of Olive, Spinar's minipet.

The life like sculptor was scooped up and admired before Spinar was told to go and fire it up.

Finishing and very proud of the final product the boil waited for his grade and then exited the class as fast as he could, leaving the professor in charge of getting rid of the piece. He didn't need silver seeds or for that matter to be known for art so he didn't care what happened to it after he had a passing grade.
