And so it seemed that Falair had a bit of time on her hands. With all the new things overwhelming her brain, the Alchemist felt she needed to get out. Clear her head. While not the most adept at fighting, a good round of punchies sometimes did the trick.

She had so much on her mind.

No. She needed to stay focused. Being unfocused would lead to a horrible end. Fala wandered through the fog. Keen eyes searching as best they could. The sound of movement nearby, large movement, caught her attention.

Focus.

Fala was unsure exactly where to start when it came to battling this titan. But when it came at her with spikes and thrashing body parts she knew it meant business.

Dodging, ducking. Rolling left to right. She stopped, crouched low with one hand on the ground for balance. Then she rushed in. Drew a balled fist back and gave it a decent punch to the nose before springing back a few paces to get out of it's way.

If this was a small one she couldn't wait to see the big ones!

Shaheen had chanced going out through the portal on her own again, intent on furthering her steady progress against the titans, and in effect, against the whispers in her head as well. She was getting better at controlling it now, she thought, through the use of distortion, and through her studies of what these titan's left behind once purified.

The land was foggy, and seemed to actually be worse now then it had been on other occasions. She almost wished to chance to fly above it, but she knew if she did she might not even see what it was that she was looking for.

So, she had set out by foot, and it was not long before she heard the telltale sounds of a titan thudding across the greyed out wasteland. Turning towards the sound, she made haste towards it, stumbling through thick patches of fog that seemed to cling to her skin, until she came to a halt near a massive form set with spikes.

Oh, and a horsewoman as well. Maybe she had this one claimed already as her own?

"Mind if I join you?" The elder chieftain asked, arching an eyebrow in question at the woman before dodging to the side when the titan took a lumbering step forward.

Before waiting for an answer, she lashed out at the titan with her short sword, it's blade glancing off of a terribly thick and spiky hide.

A deafening roar came from the beast. The air itself vibrated as it thrashed it's large body about.

She had barely heard the voice over all the noise the Titan was making. But through the fog she spotted the tall Horsewoman. Noting the wings and style of dress she gathered she was of the War Clan.

Ah yes, nice. This would definitely work.

"By all means." Falair called back. She wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth by any means. She worked her way around the back of the beast while the War mare had it preoccupied in the from. She gave it a few short kicks to the back legs. Maybe if they could just get it down on the ground and not all flailing about.

"Excellent~" She practically purred as she regained her footing, and with wings flaring behind her, took to the air to hover above the titan, searching for an area to strike. She had fought this kind many times now, and was quite used to just how it worked. Her Fear attack would be far too strong, and would leave them with nothing left over to work with. Her swords on their own would be sufficient, but with the titan built the way it was, progress would as usual be slow.

At least she wasn't going about it alone this time. Between the two of them, this likely wouldn't take nearly as long, or be anywhere near as difficult.

Diving down with a wordless war cry, she stabbed down at the insanity ridden beast from above, trying to avoid the spikes that threatened to stab her right back in response.

The Titan lifted it's head, trying to get a good look at Shaheen above. It stopped it's feet in frustration. She was too high for it to reach. Until she came straight down towards it.

It turned to face her, letting out a deep and loud roar up into the air to stop her quick descent. Gaining a slash to it's face for it's efforts.

Good.

Falair would stick to it's flank. She was not a straight on brawler and by the way her new battle buddy reacted the Alchemist could tell that she had quite a few fights under her belt.

What luck for Fala. She knew little about the beasts here and if this Mare was as experienced as she thought then she'd have an easy enough time about it if she stuck with her.

Again she kicked at the beast's back legs.

Shaheen had tried to keep out of range of those ridiculously annoying spikes that the titan wielded, but again found herself being struck, this time in her upper leg. She faltered in the air for a brief moment, her body curling inwards as one hand, still gripping her sword, pressed against her thigh.

"These ones are such a nuisance!" She called down to her impromptu partner. "Too much force of Fear and they dissipate entirely. Not enough and you are whittling away at them for ages before they are ready to become purified. Is this your first time out?" The last sentence was tacked out almost as an afterthought, and she dove down to swing her blade at the back of the titan once more, feeling it crack against something with a little more force then before.

The other woman seemed to be holding her own fairly well, she noted with a small smirk. Maybe she'd have to drag her out a little further from the tower to find something a little more exciting to take down.

The Titan had begun to pant heavily. Its movements slower than before as it's body started to solidify. It stomped it's feet some more, whipping it's head back and forth in tired fury.

She stepped too close to the Titan's thrashing head and received a pretty good smack that knocked her back a few feet. Reaching up with the back of her hand she wiped at her mouth, a smudge of dark red smeared across her dark skin.

Ah was it that obvious this was her first time here? "Yes and it's proven to be very interesting and educational to say the least."

The monster was waning. Now was the time to start the next task. Purification. Fala reached into a leather pouch and withdrew a distortion fragment. "Shall we rid the mist of one more beast?" Clutching the shard in her hand, she whipped her arm back before hurtling the crystal straight at the beast's flailing head.

Shaheen shook her head from where she hovered, her attention shifting to the woman on the ground just long enough to receive a sharp spike in her other leg when the titan began to thrash around once more. By the gods that hurt! She let out a small hiss, but noticed with some amount of satisfaction that her last hit had at least made the titan solidify, which in turn made it suitable for purification.

Landing near the Faminer, she answered her question. "I wasn't sure, but I realised that I actually couldn't recall having seen you around before, and I've been in the reserve long enough and out here enough times to have seen many. I don't often forget a face." She reached into the pouch located at her side, fishing out a yellow fragment.

"Yes, lets." She flicked her own crystal at the titan almost nonchalantly, aiming for the head as well.

"Have you been on the reserve for long? How are you finding things?" She prompted, a little more confident now that the woman must have been yet another new arrival from some outpost.

The Titan faltered one last step before the crystals drained it quickly. Its remains fell in silence.

She moved past Shaheen towards the Titan's remains. Kneeling as she rummaged about. "Mmm yes. I just arrived not that long ago. I am Falair Saab. I don't suppose you know my big sister Na'ima? She is apprentice to Salbei?" The Mare was unsure of who knew who now a days.

And with all the clans living all together it was understandable that they would mingle among themselves a lot more now than before.

A grin parted her lips. An unseen smile behind her face mask as she tucked a few things into her leather apron. Brushing her long veil back over her shoulders as she stood, she dusted her hands before turning to Shaheen. "I am finding things quite interesting to say the least."

"Hmmmm, I can not say that I know either, though the name Salbei is a familiar one." Maybe she had met him once, in passing, or had heard his name spoken. Shaheen wasn't actually very familiar with many from famine..... "Is he quite tall? White hair? Too many clothes?" That seemed to be a common trait among all of the other clans, she noticed. Always too much clothing.

Landing finally, she strode over towards the titans remains, kneeling down and sifting through what was left to pull out two nettles before pocketing them, the rest not even worth salvaging from what she could see.

Straightening up and dusting off her own hands as well, she turned towards the other woman. "Interesting good or interesting bad?" She pressed. As of late, and especially since Death had taken over for Medea, she had begun feeling the stirrings of unease in the pit of her stomach, for once actually distinguishable from the similar feelings that insanity often gave to her.
