Feeling pretty darn good about having helped defeat that rather large titan (large in comparison to some of the others they had fought thus far), Thrain decided that he could spare the War couple a moment to be alone. Naturally they needed to have a lovers quarrel to really show their affection to the other, and the Death guardian did not need to be there for that. For a variety of reasons. Which naturally meant he had nothing better to do than prove that he was just as awesome as he'd just sung himself to be.
Which meant he had to fight a Titan on his own. Not too hard, right?
