Most unfortunately for the gnomes currently on Enrollment Office Cleanup Duty,
one of the enrollment forms had a very sticky substance on it and they spent most
of their day attempting to unstick themselves from every surface they came in
contact with after touching it.

Katrine --- Female --- 18

Katrine walks through afterlife as if in a daze. Her inability to remember memories but for a voice calling out with promises of grief has left her with a tendency to drift and lose focus, turning her attention to her inner thoughts or clinging to a thing said (or unsaid) by another. As a result, she comes off as distant, forgetful, and perhaps a little vapid.

When she is aware and focused on her surroundings, Katrine has a tendency to be cynical and begrudging of perceived wrongdoings to herself. When angered she can be downright caustic. Her reaction, of course, is to lash out from a place deeply seated in the grief that clings to her: Katrine will seek to spread the grief she is enveloped by. This gives her a sense of power and, occasionally, sparks of familiarity of a time long past.

Social queues can and often are missed by this unfocused individual, sometimes making her the odd one out. Her forgetful nature and her blunt manner of speaking doesn't help her lacking social skills even if she approaches everyone with a grey sort of neutrality.

[ The Lock ] This lock can never become unsealed. Their character's memories are eternally bound. They will never, EVER be unbound. Even if they were unbound the only thing in those memories are a jumble of chaos and confusion. These characters have been around for a long time but have fallen asleep for even longer. That means technically, they were still "student" powered when they were active. They did NOT have any special abilities in the past, and are literally, the equivalent of what students were in the past. They did NOT gain any abilities when sleeping. Whatever happened back then however, they have forgotten, and finally now, they wake up, to a new age and timeline.

They do NOT remember their old past and never will period, so it is very much like having a newly arrived Halloween character. They do NOT remember that they were asleep for that long. They simply were not existing, and now, they do.

However, what they do have is remnants of their old persona. Despite their best efforts, their tendencies flare towards Grief, but not necessary JUST sorrow. Grief encompasses longing, nostalgia, emotions, and even something as terrible as eliciting grief in others. Your character is innately good at being in tune with their emotions, and may spend a long time pondering over what has happened, events again and again and again in their mind, without understanding why they cannot let them go. This is their OLD way, more of their innate old nature. Now what they are is up to them, and up to what you want to write for their enroll (even if their old way is the new way!). HOWEVER, time to time, their old personality will peer through. Think of it as a piano player that has gotten amnesia, but their fingers still know how to play. Their are not VERY GOOD, but they were more inclined, towards Grief back then. Please make sure this works for the characters, for example, you can't just have your character suddenly in tune with each and every single personality immediately, but they may be very, very, curious about the nature of characters and why they act in certain ways.

Your character will occasionally have a grieving memory. It is basically a long memory, of something that caused them potential emotional turmoil, or them watching someone else in turmoil. It is mostly a feeling, a gut feeling feeling of having experienced something important in the past. They frown a bit, and when asked, they themselves are unsure why they are frowning or what exactly they just remembered.

Ghost Walk - Able to walk through solid matter and float in the air as if in water. Leaves very cold, moist, and slightly slimy outline of her shape on the wall or floor she passes through. Depression and grief clings to the moist/cool patch on the wall or floor.

Woe's Embrace - (Headlights) - A disabling pall of grief and depression falls upon the target. Telegraphed by a pale green mist that pours off her hair and spreads out in reaching, ethereal tendrils.
