Darren did indeed jump at the loud smack behind him. Turning to see what had fallen, he blinked a moment with his good eye as he saw Siku, and hearing his words he chuckled a bit, nodding his head slowly.
"I won't say no to that," Darren smiled, though it was a somewhat detached thing, definitely not reaching all the way to his eyes. Especially against you, He continued in his mind. It wasn't a lie that the two barely got along even with his sister present.
He doubted they'd get along with her gone. He didn't know what it was about Siku, but something about the boil rubbed him the wrong way. Maybe it was his seemingly endless sense of entitlement or his smug demeanor. Regardless, Darren would have loved nothing more than to wipe that smug grin off the other boil's face.
Preferably with a fist.
