The jet-black snake tail emerged from the blankets to crack like a whip, sending the small stone flying off harmlessly in another direction. Two-toned eyes glittered from the bundled folds of winter closing, a soft hiss accompanying the action. "Speak for yourself, lazy bones. Your snoring could wake the dead."
Tanyth stretched lazily, yawning, then drew the bundled layers around herself for warmth as she sat up and prepared to move again. The sooner she got out of here, the sooner she got home to curl up in front of the fireplace. And also, away from this rude, inconsiderate clod.
After making sure that she was bundled up tightly and shouldering her pack, she headed towards the entrance, barely sparing a glance towards Kratos. Cheerfully, she shot over her shoulder, "Come along now, if you're coming with me!" She could barely contain a fanged grin. She was going to get some entertainment out of this at least.
But Guardians help any of those Solamir bastards if she found one on the way off this Guardians-forsaken mountain...

While he may be irritating, she could certainly return in kind if she wished. And it was a distraction to keep her focus off the cold while they tried to find a way to descend the mountain safely. So, rather than letting her irritation show, she simply smiled and shot back, "Well, that's good, because I don't really bring home strays."
Invigorated for a time by the food, nap, and warmth of the cave, Tanyth was intending on making the most of it before the cold started to sap her energy again. Her layers of bundled clothing were keeping out the worst of the cold as she pushed through the snow, testing steps before putting weight on them. She paused, one hand gripping a scraggly bare tree as she leaned out a bit to glance down the mountain side. "Still pretty steep here," she muttered in thought, then glanced up ahead. "Doesn't seem to be as bad that way though. So, that way it is." She set off in that direction, winding around the mountain in an attempt to find ways to slowly descend from it.

Strays... pfft. As if. She'd be lucky to bring him a guy like him. Probably do her wonders, she'd be thanking him after... "Bet you don't bring home anything...." he muttered under his breath, not exactly politely.
Too damn cold for those thoughts though, and he wasn't exactly bundled in winter clothing either. Snorting, Kratos followed behind her, tail flicking as he mumbled occasionally to himself about his bad luck. When she had stopped to test the side of the mountain, he too peered over, hand against a tree for support. Definitely not going down that way, at least not without wings.
As she set off in another direction, he smirked. Yeah, let her do all the work. He'll just tag back and play it cool. She can test things, fall in holes, trigger traps while he made a nice safe trek down the mountain. Seemed legit. At least they seemed to be more steadily going down now, as he could see more trees popping into view and what... hopefully... looked like more level ground off down in the distance. After he got home, he'd never sign up for some silly trek through the mountains again. Not to mention he'd have several fairy dinners after this if he ever saw any....

Even if there were more trees in view, the wind was still whistling past their ears; luckily keeping Tanyth from hearing any muttered comments from her companion. She was in a reasonably pleasant mood for the moment, and no telling when the weather would change that again. The chill was starting to seep through the warm layers of clothing, but she still had the energy to keep going for now.
The 'trail' (if one could even call it that) that they were attempting to follow greatly steepened here, but it still seemed possible to descend, if with some extra care. Sacrificing some warmth for stability, Tanyth flared her wings to aid her balance as she started to descend the slope. She paused a few times when inertia started to increase, rather than letting it cause her to lose control. She'd descend a bit, pause by a scraggly tree to regain her balance, then target the next growth lower down the slope and aim for that as her next destination. Slowly, but steadily, she was making progress downward. The winds may have still been chilly, but the snow was much less deep here, the ground beneath less icy. Hope sprung from the few sparse patches of grass that appeared dotting the mountainside.

The gradual increasing warmth was enough to encourage the snake demon to greater speed. Once she got home, she was spending a week lounging in front of the hearth with a raging fire going. Ah, warmth...
The air remained cool, but at least the snow was gone from the ground, which made descending easier once one no longer had to worry about slipping on a hidden ice patch.
When at last the pair had reached level ground, she couldn't wait to be rid of the obnoxious pest. "Well, I'd say it's been fun, but...it hasn't." Tanyth shifted her winter clothes in preparation to take flight. Her wings finally felt warm enough to trust them in the air again and she could barely wait to be home. And away from here.
After only a moment's hesitation, she sent back over her shoulder, "See ya' around." And as she took to the skies, she silently added, But hopefully not.
