Okay. So today was date night.
Taylor had to babysit our nephew today, which is normal for Friday.
Her sister works at a salon on the beach, and Taylor is off on Fridays.
So it works well.
She told me it shouldn't be a long job today since her sister only had 3 or 4 clients.
She left at 10 this morning.
We texted back and forth today while I graded papers and did laundry and such.
We decided on dinner and what movie/time we wanted to see.
It had to be early since I have to be up at 4:30 tomorrow for work.
We'd be home and getting ready for bed no longer than 9:30. Excellent!
So, I text her around 5:30 to see what time she'll be home.
She says soon. That her sister should be home in the next 15 minutes, she'll go get the pizza and she'll be back. Works great.
At 6:30, she texts me and says that she's soooo ready to leave.
I ask is Sara's gotten home yet.
She says yes, but she (Sara) went out to get a drink. That she needs some alone time.
Kind of ******** up because it wasn't part of the Friday arrangement for this week. But okay. It's 6:30, we can still make our 7:10 movie.
I offered to go get the pizza, but she said she should be able to swing by and get it on the way home.
I text her at 7:10, wondering where Sara was. Still not home. Fine, we can make the 7:45 movie.
I text her at 8:00 and say that she needs to text her. Taylor's pissed because she hasn't heard from her. I'm pissed because she's robbed us of a (well deserved) date night.
5 minutes later, she texts me saying that Sara just got home and is in tears.
So now she has to play the good sister and stay until Sara is all calmed down and s**t.
I'm really ******** unamused.
Not only was I robbed of a date night, I'm also robbed of my ability to be mad at my sister in law because apparently SOMETHING happened and you can't be mad at a crying new ******** this.
I now have a generous portion of Captain Morgan in front of me.
I'm going to enjoy my next hour until I have to go to bed.
