When I am not even trying to talk MYSELF into it?

I mentioned to a man I ride the bus with sometimes that my step brother was getting married when he asked if anything exciting was happening in my life. It's kinda exciting. It's like an official not slapped together planned wedding. Plus, let's not mince words here, the bride's family is very well to do, which means open bar!

The next day my neighbor whom I also ride with asked if I had any good news that I forgot to tell her.

I was like, "Um...not really? My step brother is getting married but you don't know him, so I never mentioned it."

"Ah! I knew he heard you wrong. Martin told me you told him you were getting married. I told him, 'Jaime? No. She's not that stupid, and she would have told me first.' "

Then he told her to beg me not to get married, and if I was happy to just stay how I am.

Like...wtf. These people are in their 50's.

I work with tons of divorced people who are always telling me negative things about marriage and trying to talk me out of it w/o actually just saying MY MARRIAGE WAS BAD AND YOURS WILL BE TOO.

People need to just mind their own ******** business.

Although, I may never trust another living soul again, somewhere deep inside, I want to believe true love that passes all time exists. I say if what you have is working for you, stick with it. If you want to acknowledge that relationship in front of friends and family and make promises you intend to keep publically, go ahead. It's your life, and none of anyone's business.

But if you do throw the party, I know there are quite a few of us who want to be involved. LOL

If I do get married, it will be in Vegas and I will personally pay for your ticket and hotel stay. Maybe my mom can babysit for you too. Haha.

I don't think it would be for a while though. Gabbie may be 17 or 18 by the time we get to that point.

this is why I like you. Also this is why I would go to that wedding. Also every wedding I've been to is lame and doesn't have booze.

THIS TIMES A MILLION

Seriously! What business is it of theirs if you get married or not?
You ain't invited, b***h, so why the ******** do you care?

I mean, marriage isn't for everyone, just like having kids isn't for everyone.
And no one, I mean ******** NO ONE has the right to tell you how to live your own god damned life.
You like weddings and kids so bad? Go have 'em yourself! Gawd. [/rant]

And like Ari said, if you did throw a party, I'd totes want in!
I'd... have to figure out a way to get to where you are in the US but yeah.
