Im not thrilled but the incentives are 75k/yr and my own place for once. Downsides are: its a 37 mile long island. Plane tickets are more expensive than Japan to the US. ($1500 - $4000)
Blah. All this moving. I was hoping for Europe or back home.

D:< I STILL HAVE BILLS THOUGH XIPPY. How would you like to be marooned on an island barely three times the size of D.C.? And they only way to see friends for family is spend copious amounts of money... I only justify the move because of the money but I know once I'm there after a few months, I'm going to go insane.

I think I'd be fine, and there's no way I am over simplifying this based on glancing over the wikipedia page!
Then again, I'm more of an outdoorsy person. It looks like there's actually quite a bit to do.
They have football and rugby and MMA and an invasive water buffalo species that you could probably get drunk and chase down naked at 4AM.
OOOO and they have huge rhino beetles! I LOVE BEETLES!

XD I think I'll like it. I'm from FL anyway.

It probably wouldn't attack. They're attracted to splashing and blood in the water. So if the dingus in the kayak stops paddling for a second or two, it's probably swim by. They do tend to bump into stuff and will bite and let go to see if something is edible or not or to try and identify it.
So if you're not bleeding in the water or flailing your arms and legs about, you should be ok. And if you're not ok, well at least punch it once so they can say, "THIS ******** DIED FIGHTING A SHARK. A. ********. SHARK. You can only hope to be an eighth of the badass in life that the dearly departed was in death." at your funeral.

Streetlight Fights It looks awesome there, I would love to do that, even if it was just for one year. What kind of bills do you have that would make 75K be not that much money? eek Housing and utilities will run me about 3k a month alone. Car insurance, car note, two loans, a credit card, a medical debt... I'll come out ahead, but it's the fact that I was TOLD I will be moving there, for no less than 3 years. That's all. If they had been like "Please?" I might feel better. LMAO.
