I'm trying really hard not to bash my head into a wall right now.
My students. Oh dear lord.
Keep me sane, LSG.

Or that's a bad idea.

My first 3 classes were impossible today.
IMPOSSIBLE.
I had to step outside for a minute to keep my cool.

My Drama 4 has a bunch of newbies in it (scheduling issue).
7 Drama 4 levels, 18 Drama 1 levels.
NIGHTMARE.
The Level 1s have a monologue due on Thursday.
Today was peer critique (their classmates critique their monologue to help them improve).
After the first 6, NO ONE wanted to go.
I had to bring out the "magic box. (Someone must be in it performing/being critiqued at all times or everyone gets a zero.)
I hate being the mean teacher, but I couldn't motivate them.
They don't have ANY grades yet, so this monologue is their first grade.
I don't think they realize that, if they do poorly, that's their ENTIRE grade.

Drama 2 is just hard to manage.
None of them are motivated.
And they think they know everything since they're drama 2.
It's basically the 7th and 8th graders who can't cut it in drama 3 and 4, but we can't kick them out of the program.

Drama 1 is a ton of kids.
They just give me a headache some days.
They had rehearsal time for their scenes, but they were playing around so much.
And it's all 6th graders, so they don't know how to properly deal with confrontation and issues and such.
So they all come whining to me when someone disagrees with them.
And while I'm dealing with THAT, I can't deal with the things I NEED to deal with.

THANK GOD for my Drama 3.
We played a game called "Party Invite" and they had a blast.
I laughed so hard.

TLDR; My kids were a nightmare today and I had to be the mean teacher.
