Not that the isles had that much more to do, but being new meant still settling in to hobbies she could have on the reserve. Which meant days of not knowing what all to use her time for. No, it wasn't the best option, and rather Asteria was quite tired of it. Antsy might have been the word. Too much pent up energy from feeling caged in, or perhaps just from lack of activity. Either way, she was about ready to roll off the tree branch she was lounged across and go find the nearest way to occupy herself.

Perhaps just a run. It kept her in shape, but really it didn't seem all that appealing, nor too entertaining. Which left her wings drooped down as she stared ahead, listless due to her lack of a good idea. Something. To. Do.

Well, there was always some new clansmen to meet? She hadn't come across that many yet, what with spending so much time in the Haunted House. She had at least a few scratches to show for it.

Which was why that wasn't the concept of the day at the moment really. She wasn't quite up to going in again, not if she met something on the bigger angrier side, so... yes. She'd make due with the company of another of her kind. Perhaps even find one of her own, she'd yet to run across a fellow war horsemen since her arrival, a bit of a downer really.

Were they the worst off? It was hard to imagine her clan to be the first to go, but... evidence said... maybe? She grimaced as she shook her head, rolling to one side as she let herself fall to the ground and land on her feet. She'd just have to prove it wrong. "Ah, hmph. We're not that weak." It was more a grumble to herself as she strode along, eyes to the scenery of trees around her. The problem now? She wasn't sure where to start really, but... well any direction would do?

Within a clearing in the tree's, Shaheen was lounging in a hammock outside of her makeshift home, a hut that she had been living in with Shikoba for several months now. The hammock itself was raised high enough that she'd had to use he wings to reach it, and it now swung lazily back and forth, her flight aides hanging down each side, their feathers streaked with grey, broken and misty at their tips.

The War Chieftain wasn't often one for rest and relaxation, but recently she'd been spending quite a lot of time fighting and taming titans with her housemate to become stronger, and now she was feeling just a little bit fatigued from the exercise. Yawning, she closed her eyes, content to spend the next couple of hours in lazy solitude.

That was, until the sound of somebody approaching through the trees had her eyes flying open, and Shaheen shifted slightly so that she could sit up and look down at what might be passing by below.

The woman she spotted through trees and branches was a surprising one, one that she had not seen in quite sometime and the chieftain had assumed had been lost. "Asteria?" She called down from on high, a light smile in the form of a smirk alighting her lips.

Aimless wandering gave one more time to dwell on things than she liked. There were always things she could feel regret for, and as fresh as all of the change and new information was, it still threatened to crop up at times. Which further pulled the train of thought over the lack of her clansmen as she strode along. Had many fallen? Certainly that had to be the case, but would her presence have helped to change that? Or would she have merely been another name to tack to a list of the dead? She hadn't been there for the event, so it was hard to determine... but she felt some guilt for the lack of help she'd been.

Even now she wasn't entirely sure how much she could do to assist with rebuilding. There were details here and there, but how much progress was being made? Sadly, it was debatable. And going over it all again wasn't helping her any.

She was still going over things in her head as she happened to trail along near a house of sorts, having barely noticed the thing in her musing and only snapping to attention at hearing her name. The voice didn't register at first, merely pulling her out of the recesses of her own mind as she quickly looked from side to side, then up as she realized the direction the words had come from. It was only at the sight of the familiar, distinct set of wings that went with the face that she seemed to finally recognize who it was who'd called her name. Not some new acquaintance from the reserve, but an old partner of sorts. One she'd spared with back before everything happened.

And one who helped to assist with one concern. There were still others. Certainly she'd known, but it had been a concern.

"Shaheen?" There was a tone of uncertainty to her voice, even if she seemed to certainly be that person, perhaps she was wrong? "That is you, right?" Even as she spoke, she couln't help the smile that was pulling at the corners of her mouth. Not only a fellow war, but one she knew. The day was already a great one with such a simple thing.
