All horsemen would receive at the foot of their doorsteps a small parcel. Sometimes, there were two small parcels for both denizens living inside the abode, sometimes there were more than two because who were the horsemen to judge. There wasn't anything fancy, just rather ordinary exquisite velvet fabric that smelled of a very strong flowery scent. Inside, once any horsemen got past the fabric and smell, was a box, and inside the box a sweater.

A beautifully hand knit (for the most part) sweater. There was no card attached, though it really didn't take too much effort to even begin to imagine with any bare minimum of imagination who the sender had been. Nonetheless, it was a gift from their fine Head Priestess, and it was probably meant to keep them safe from the strange layer of snow that plagued the Sanctuary along with most of Halloween. Probably.

OOC
Horsemen are free to interact with each other, trade sweaters, talk about their ugly sweaters, etc!
- You're free to pick any sweater from this site. Sweaters are conveniently knitted just in case of wings. Sweaters are extremely pliable and durable and seem to be able to withstand all sorts of damage. Certain sweaters also light up.

- When you summon your mount and/or shift into mount form, instead of turning into mount form, you turn into an adorable alpaca, your choice of colour. If you were summoning a mount, your mount is now an alpaca. Also, once you put the sweater on you can't take it off. Enjoy. This effect will persist ALL OF DECEMBER and in any other RPs

Lan had been working on mastering her mount form so when she turned into an alpaca, she felt much shame.

Fluffy and adorable she might have been she wasn't terrifying or anything and- she was sorry Invictus.
She didn't mean to be this cute.

Soren had been scarce lately, kept busy by...things he probably shouldn't mention in public as well as general duties. Upon seeing the parcel at his door he took it inside, forgot about it while he ate some apple crisp washed down with sparkling apple cider, and then happened to glance back over at it.

There was no telling who it was from, and it didn't smell all that well. But it was oddly reminiscent. What was inside was truly horrifying.

It was morbid curiousity that prompted him to pull off his own clothing and to put it on. If it was actually made for him it would fit his broad shoulders and toned chest, and obviously if it was too small he could inform someone else that he had their package. Possibly Senga. Senga probably needed a package more than he did.

Surprisingly it fit, a bit taunt but it just stretched nicely. He snorted under his breath and then took it off. Or tried to at least. By King of the Wind's fetlocks he wasn't leaving his house until he found a way to take this off, even if it meant dissipating himself.

Before he knew it, he was thinking something he never thought he would ever say, as he inspected the tiny parcel that had shown up at his door.

Famine bless you, Medea.

The poor, barely clothed horseman - attuned to the blazing heat of the desert sands - was shaking like the bony branches of the Weeping Forest in the cold wintry air. Kiwi hurriedly stuffed himself into the sweater, it's bells jingling with a strangely light tune as his wings tucked through, and it engulfed him in a gaudy layer of warmth.

That was much better. Now if only Medea had thought to provide them with matching sandals; he could barely feel his own feet.

Bastion was a little worried that Medea knew absolutely nothing about him (or simply thought he was someone else, so many people seemed to make that kind of mistake) when he opened up his present, but he wore it anyway because he was freezing and had no winter clothes. Besides, it was from Medea. He would have worn thorns if she'd made it for him!

She had been so overjoyed to discover a package waiting for her. Not that she bothered to check and see if there was a name from the sender (let alone if it was actually for her). It was a gift all the same and Saiyuri gleefully tore it open.

To reveal the most interesting atrocity she had yet to see.

And it was so flipping fantastic!

Everyone would be so jealous! Because she lit up and had springy things to play with!. As of yet, she was unaware of the fact she could not remove the sweater once on nor that she would find herself as an alpaca soon enough.

No, the only thing the famine mare knew was that she would bless whoever gave her this sweater!

Shaheen was rarely not wary of strange parcels appearing on her doorstep, and today was no exception. She stared at both of the small packages for some time, fingers still gripping the door handle, hair still mussed from sleep or perhaps lack there of, a tangled mass of golden blonde and grey.

Eventually she carefully prodded one of the parcels with her toe, half expecting it to explode in glitter or set off some kind of booby trap.

When nothing happened, she crouched down in front of them, squinting. What to do, what to do..... She ground her teeth together while she thought it over, then finally shouted into the house.

"SHIKOBAAAAAAAAAA WAKE UP!" Seriously, it wasn't an actual real winter, despite their being snow on the ground. Bear or not he didn't need to sleep all the damn time.

Shik had been having a nice long, almost hibernating-like sleep (he almost looked dead even) when Shaheen's voice managed to pierce through those layers of sleep like a lance. Years of battle instinct rose up, and the executioner summoned his dagger and threw it in her direction--

(To attack the intruder of course, not her, never her)

--whereupon the weapon stuck into a box. Shik blinked several times before he realized there was nobody attacking them (damn it) and that Shaheen was raising a fuss about . . . presents.

"What are they?" Shik grumbled as he rubbed as his eyes, desummoning the dagger. Clearly they shouldn't trust any presents left to them anonymously.

A dagger went flying past her thigh, grazing against her skin before lodging into the parcel, the one with her own name scrawled on top by an unrecognizable hand.

She had a brief moment to hope it wasn't actually something nice inside, because it very like no longer would be.

On the plus side she now knew for certain they weren't going to blow up, or they likely would have at being attacked. She reached down to gather both of them up in her arms, and walked back to where Shik lay, resting, dumping the one with his name on it down onto his chest.

"They are boxes." She said, face deadpanned and serious as can be as she began to pick away at the wrapping on her own, opening up the box to see....

"..........." It took her a few moments to find words and then.

"By all the gods it's horrible. Just..." She hissed. "It must be destroyed."

"Who are these from anyway . . ." Shik grunted and forced himself to sit up now that the adrenaline was coursing through him, plucking Shaheen's delivery off his chst. Grumbling more, he ripped it open and saw it: it. The . . . what the ******** was this thing called.

Shik did not know how to shirt, let alone sweatshirt. The very sight of this offended every sense, even taste somehow.

"Medea," he cursed, stuck between complaining some more and laughing because maybe they were helping out a madwoman at this point.

He glanced to the side where their fireplace lay. "The place is getting nippy," he suggested. "And I'm too lazy to go get tinder. Might make a nice fire?"

Unless it made the house smell of flowers . . .

Medea. Yes, it made perfect sense now. Shaheen's upper lip curled back from her teeth, and she was very much ready to drop her package on the floor and leave it there, and perhaps stomp on it every time she walked by because why. Why were they putting their faith in what was quite obviously a woman who was completely insane. A woman who turned child-like hunters into foxfires.

........But what if it was a test? What if they had to put on the sweaters, or they failed?

.......What if putting on the sweater was the failure?

"Burn them." She agreed, making a grab for Shik's and making her way to the fireplace, tossing them both in. "She can't possibly expect us to actually wear them."

She then waited for Shik to actually light the fire because he was the pyro in this household, not her.

Or she could absolutely expect them to wear them, but in this household? The expected really shouldn't be expected. Especially when it looked like Medea was turning into a joke, which in turn might mean so was their whole plan.

Yes, burning things for Christmastival sounded like a very, very good idea right now.

Happy to be relieved of the ugly burden, Shik moved over and crouched before the fireplace. Grabbing what tinder was available, he sprinkled them generously over both sweaters before grabbing the flint and going about trying to set it all ablaze. Maybe Medea's horrific presents could be turned into a much more useful fire to ward the sudden snowfall.

The sweaters writhed horribly in the flames and gave a terrible shriek, like no other. Slowly, their shadows twisted and contorted until smoke filled the entire abode-

- And Shaheen and Shik blacked out.

When they woke up they were thankfully in one piece, the house was not burnt down, and each of them was wearing a fancy sweater made only with a lot of love and attention to detail.

Erintis stood staring at the box for a very long time before finally opening it up. She really wasn't sure what to find inside but when she saw the little sweater she was just mildly amused. It was so ugly it was kind of cute. Shrugging as she watched others she decided to put it on.

Surprisingly it fit, but it really wasn't something she normally wore, as she tried to pull it back off she came to the haunting realization it didn't come off, eyes wide she whimpered slightly,

...my robes better be able to cover this. was the only thought going through her head.
