Roles
Alpha: The patriarch of the herd, the Alpha has the final say on who may stay with the herd. He keeps peace within the herd and protects it along with the protector.
Protector: The protector keeps tabs on what is happening outside of the herd and plans along with the alpha the best ways to keep their family safe.
Head of the Ashen Guard: The head of guards is in charge of all the guards. He or she answers directly to the Alpha and Protector. Should they fall, the Head of The Ashen Guard leads the Ashen Guard and the Ashen Oak in defense of
The Oaken Guard: Guards patrol the boarders and keep an eye out for threats to the herd. Should a threat ever materialize the Ashen Guard would be there to defend their home.
The Ashen Guard: Few in number, these members hold a main job usually separate from guard duties. Each a speciality that makes them deadly. Their identities are known only to Jase and they are only called to duty if there is a problem that needs to be dealt with quickly and quietly. The existence of this group is treated as a tall tale by members of the oaken guard, and would be unheard of by regular members of the herd.
Elder Healer: The elder healer is in charge of the healers, and is responsible for managing any patients who may be visiting the herd.
Healers: The healers research the effects of various herb teas on healing, and care for any sick or injured soq who come their way.
Child Care: Adults who are tasked with watching over the youngest in the group while their parents are unable to do so. This may be for a few hours, or a few days. They will also take on the roles of teachers. When there are no children to watch over the caregivers lend aid to others in the herd.
Elder Brewer: The elder brewer is in charge of the brewers and gardeners. It is his or her job to make sure there will
Brewers: The brewers are responsible for the picking, drying, and storage of herbs for their various teas.
Gardeners: The gardeners are responsible for the health of the various tea, food, and healing vegetation in the area.
Other: Other covers any permanent member of the herd who is too young to work or otherwise hasn't settled into a role. Able bodied members are expected to help out the working soq when needed.
Visitors: The White Leaf are a friendly bunch and will gladly welcome any strangers who need their help or just a bit of company. Long term visitors will be expected to help out like the others do.
