Sweetie Belle lounged outside the Tree with her eyes closed, just taking in the sun. She and Apple Bloom had grown up a little, gotten their cutie marks. She smiled at the thought. Who knew that it would be so simple? It was something she'd always loved to do, but never once thought it could be considered her special talent. But now she could see it. Of course she could, now. 20/20 hindsight, or whatever.
Without even having to think about it, a tune came to her mind and she hummed it softly as she thought about the most recent events in her life. She and Apple Bloom had gone looking for adventure, and both had gotten it in ways they'd never imagined. Sweetie and a female demon girl had gotten stranded in the snow. She shuddered at that memory, but the ones leading up to it were pleasant. She'd met a prince. Well, technically, she supposed Wild Moon wasn't really a prince...but he was the son of a princess, so....close enough, right? Her sister Rarity would probably call him a prince.
She smiled as she thought of him. She'd had fun talking to him and his guard and the rest before that awful snow storm. She knew he'd made it home safely, having seen him around the tree since then. She was just...too shy to approach him. He'd grown up as well, and become quite handsome. In fact, that was one of the reasons she'd started feeling shy when she caught a glimpse of him. Not to mention the obvious blush that colored her face and the accelerated heart rate.
Sweetie Belle had a crush.

Glad to be home was an understatement. Even if his mother had given him hell and back for his disappearance, he was quite glad to be back in the tree. He made sure to do everything his mom had asked for to keep her pleased, within reason of course, but there were tow things forever stuck on his mind it would seem.
One was that strange book Sparrow and he had found while trapped on the mountain. The strange markings and words, what seemed like instructions of some sort baffled him and the more he set himself to figuring it out, the more confused he became. It was in a fit of frustration that he had left the book on this day, ignoring his tugging feelings to ask his dad or to see the Chief. No, instead he went for a walk, some force leading him outside the tree.
His eyes passed over the fauns and faunies as he went, spotting a particular loud white faunie as she seemed to be packing for something made the other subject on his mind come to the front. Sweetie Belle. He had known she got home safely too, he had seen her around the tree, but never had enough courage or time to go talk to her. One moment he had come close to just going up and blurting out something when his mom dragged him back in to lecture him yet again on her valentines day experience and the strangely awkward tale of his birth. But this time he was free, his parents weren't around, his sisters off doing their own thing. This time he would find her and he would say something! ... Where she was at however was another story.
He searched through the tree as he made his way towards the exit, not spotting her or even a glimps of her. He was beginning to wonder if he would even find her and if this.. these feelings... were just some silly mind game when he stepped outside of the tree, eyes cast towards the ground as he walked. If he hadn't of looked up last second, he would have all but bumped into her. He stopped and fumbled. There she was! Right there! No one else around! Now is your chance Wild Moon, say something brilliant! Sweep her off her hooves, take her away, tell her how you feel, be romantic, cool. Charming. A real Prince!
".....H-hi..!"
Oh way to go stupid.

She jumped a little at the force of his response, but it pleased her, too. Maybe he was as into her as she was into him...Oh, if only she were that lucky. She smiled at him, hiding a light giggle behind one hand as he gave her a much smoother answer. He really was adorable, and handsome and...
Oh, my. He was really offering his hand. She stared for a moment, heart skipping a beat before sliding her hand in his. Her heart resumed beating, twice, three times as fast as before though she tried not to let it show.
"U-um," she stammered, her brain suddenly taking a vacation. "W-we could go down to the lake? M-maybe a take a swim?" she somehow managed to squeak out. "O-of course if there's something else you'd rather do, that's fine, too!" Oh, she didn't care, not as long as she could spend time with him! She felt so nervous, but today was turning out to be amazing already!

When she jumped, he had thought he had scared her and probably just ruined his chances for the day. He began to mentally chide himself but when her hand slid into his, time seemed to stop. Nothing else existed in that moment but himself and this crazily adorable unicorn before him. He had to be hte luckiest faun on earth right now, getting to spend a day with Sweetie Belle!
Smiling, he gently curled his fingers around her's, doing his best to take a breath and smooth down his nerves, though that was a task in and of itself. "Swimming sounds lovely!" he offered, peering back up at the sky. "It really is a fine day for a dip.... o-o-r just relaxing by the lake side." he chuckled a bit nervously, drawing her closer a bit. His dark fur seemed to hide a blush that was growing, though he was certain she could feel the heat radiating from him.
Taking a step back, he turned to begin gently leading her towards the lake, doing his best not to tug her along or yank her arm out in all his flustered excitement. "S-s-s-shall I be your escort today, M'lady?" he grinned, trying to be cute. Man was he too cheesy! Oh, how did dad do it?!!

]Her cheeks burned scarlet and nearly hurt from smiling so hard. She gasped softly as he drew her closer, but she liked it! He was so handsome and sweet, how could she not fall for him? And oh, was she falling hard...
"What a gentleman," she cooed with a light giggle. "What kind of lady would I be if I turned down such an offer?" Okay, now she was channeling Rarity a little. Much better. Much smoother.
"I'm so glad you agree," she said with another giggle. "It's getting a little warm now, I think a little swim will be nice." She blushed a little harder, keeping up with him well. Half of her wanted to be more like Applebloom, maybe challenge him to a race to the lake. She could almost hear Rarity's disapproval. She should be lady like. Right? Right.

Nodding, he continued on his slow pace, smiling. "I think so as well though....I think I would be happy even just to walk at your side." he admitted, having taken all his courage just to get that out in the open. He now felt as if he had no breath to speak, and turned his nervous gaze to the bridge ahead of them. It was then he realized he didn't exactly....know the outside world as well as he thought he did, only a vague idea of where to go. Wild Moon silently hoped they'd find a nice little place for a swim, if only to make her happy....
In attempts to not look awkward or make things awkwardly silent, he searched through his brain for something to ask her. "So...uh....how have things been for you...since...the move?" he tilted his head, genuinely curious. He had only heard tales of it from his mother, he himself having been born here. But he was more than certain she made the journey with her sister, and as a teen no less! She had to be one tough girl to.....besides being unbearably adorable.

She blushed and smiled at his admission, holding her cheek with one hand as she giggled softly. "I feel the same way, to be honest...I'm really glad you saw me today," she said and beamed up at him. She really did enjoy his company, and didn't need anything else to occupy her time. Even if they never made it to the lake, she would be happy just being with him.
"O-oh! Umm, not all that bad, I guess," she said and smiled. "Cheif Rais and everyone's been so nice and welcoming. I've even made a couple new friends!" It was a little strange to her that he'd never see Equestria, but she supposed that Princess Luna would have told him about Canterlot. Sweetie Belle could tell him about Ponyville... If he wanted to know, anyway. Or maybe she should just look to the future...maybe if she was very lucky, Wild Moon would be part of that. She blushed a little harder at that thought. "H-has Princess Luna told you much of where we came from?" she wondered.

Hearing her say that she felt the same was like a weight lifted off his shoulder, and at the same time, a breath of fresh air. A new smile lit his lips, a kind of beaming in his eye. He blinked down at her, slowly moving his hand about her waist to hold her closer as they walked. "That makes me so happy to hear. It's been the most perfect day since I've run into you." he laughed softly, ears flickering up at his question.
What hadn't his mother told him? Probably a lot, her stories seemed to be mostly about royal duties or the night sky back at Canterlot. "Yes, she's told me much of her life there, as well as a bit of Aunt Celestia's." he chuckled, recalling how fondly his mother seemed to look when she spoke about her previous life and her greatest joy of raising the moon. "She's also mentioned how hard it was at first for her to settle in here...." he trailed off, running his free hand through his hair as he glanced about them, still not entirely sure where he was leading her too but he knew there was a lake near straight ahead from the bridge. "I'm glad to find that you've found friends at least, Sweetie Belle.....maybe....ah....something more in your future?" he flushed, finding it hard to be subtle at the moment.

"Oh!" she gasped lightly when he held her closer. She smiled; his warmth was a pleasant feeling and it made her heart race a little faster. "I'm glad you feel that way, Wild Moon," she said with a sweet smile up at him.
"O-oh, yes, I can imagine it was quite hard on the princesses," she said and nodded. Back in Equestria they were the two most important ponies. Here, there'd already been an establish hierarchy. They did seem to be fitting in well, though.
She blushed prettily at his not-so-subtle question. She bit her lip, thinking what she should say. "I...I would really like that..." she murmured, leaning against him a little more.
