I probably could at least try it since I know it's already dead and that's just a reaction to the salt and all that. Especially 'cause I actually like squid (I had some two nights ago). But yeah, it would freak me out for a while.

Deaux This does look to be a bit cruel. It's dead. It's the salt in the soy sauce reacting with the tissue in the muscles.
Frog legs do the same thing. The salt acts as a substitute for electrical impulses from the now detached brain.

Tenacious Travis frog legs were not nearly as good as I thought they would be. alligator meat, though? all it is cracked up to be. I like both tbh. We have an awesome cajun place that sells rockin' frog legs and alligator. They have the best cut of steak in town too, supposedly, that they serve with shrimp on top. It's awesome. They also have the best mississppi mud pie i've ever had. they serve it with this like....special house rum caramel sauce over it. it's to die for. and now i want it SO BAD.
