Ancient Studies ~ A
spaceDamien has a cursory interest in history, and had a problem choosing electives he found useful. Given how few exams he had to take, he was able to offer each one enough time to pass. However, any that did not come easily to him or did not seem overly important was often ignored in favor of studying for other exams. He managed a passing grade for this exam, but it dropped somewhat from his OWL grade because the exam was more difficult and he didn't offer it as much attention as he could have.
Charms ~ A
spaceDamien has struggled somewhat with Charms in the past, but his wandwork has improved considerably since his early years in school. He was never the best at Charms, but he managed well enough in the lesson. For this exam, he managed a passing grade, but only just. It dropped slightly from his OWL grade due to an increase in difficulty.
Defense Against the Dark Arts ~ EE
spaceDamien is proficient at defensive spells, indeed, his wand is well-suited for casting them, and he has a strong protective instinct that makes his wandwork more successful when it is meant to save or protect. However, his spellwork isn't perfect; while he did manage a better-than-average score for this particular exam, it wasn't perfect. The score is the same as his score on the OWL exam, because while his spellwork did improve, the difficulty increase was enough to keep him from managing a perfect score.
History of Magic ~ EE
spaceDamien has always enjoyed History, and found it to be an easy lesson compared to others. In general, it was one of his favorites, because he found it easy, but wasn't overly worried about it. He didn't study as hard for this exam as he did for others, but it was partially because he didn't need to. While he didn't manage an O as he did on his OWLs, he was well-versed enough in the subject matter to receive an EE for this exam.
Mythology ~ O
spaceSimilarly to History of Magic and Ancient Studies, this lesson is one he took due to his interest in History, the decision cemented by the fact that it was taught by Professor Harlowe. She has been his favorite professor for as long as he has been in her class, and so he focused more of his efforts on this exam than the other two. Like history, he found it easy, so it was little trouble for him to manage an O on the exam, the same score he received on his OWLs.
Potions ~EE
spacePotions has always been one of Damien's favorite and best subjects; his childhood friendship with Adalaide Blythe and her family left an impression on him that, in spite of the complications of that relationship in later years, left him with a fondness for Potions. He has always found it fairly simple, relating it to cooking, which he was taught to do by his family's House-Elf. However, while his work is impressive, it's hardly perfect, leaving him with an EE on the exam, the same score he received for his OWL.
Wandlore Studies ~O
spaceOf all his exams, this was the one Damien studies for hardest. He discovered his interest in wandlore by chance, and realized that, in spite of what had been planned for his life, he was far more interested in wands than in law. Since then, he has dedicated most of his time and efforts to becoming as much of an expert on the subject as he can while in school. He intends to become a wandmaker after graduating and as such has done everything he can to ensure he received top marks for this exam. His efforts were not in vain; his care and attention in this subject brought him an O for his NEWT, just as he received for his OWL.
