Shin Co:
Currently run by Chiba Shin, an experienced business tycoon. Shin Co is one of the top ten most successful fashion companies in the world with stores in Japan, America, France, South Korea, and England. Ranked fourth, they sell a variety of goods for both men and women; Clothing, shoes, makeup, perfume and cologne, skin and hair care, and jewelry. They've bought out a few smaller chains, including Maco Coffee which has several coffee shops around Japan. A portion of their profits is donated to various charities.

The building--located within the city--has 36 floors, plus a basement and sub-basement. A three-story, department store is attached.

Chiba Shin (and Kora's) Home:

It is a very large, three-story house that has been in the family for five generations. There is also a basement and a few hidden passages and two hidden rooms. It is a western style house as Chiba's grandfather had a fascination for western architecture and culture. A few rooms are more japanese oriented, though. It resides on four acres of land and has a large, japanese garden in the back as well as a reflective pool and a place for meditation.

On the thirtieth floor in a small office sat a young woman not yet legally an adult. Her desk was piles high with papers, binders, and folders. Some were open while others were closed. Somewhere under it all was a simple, black laptop with homework that hadn't been finished. The trash-bin which had recently been placed next to the desk was already half full of papers. Kora frowned over the clothing designs on her desk. They were tacky and hardly sellable. She tossed the papers into the trash with another pile.

Kora opened up one of the binders titled Spring 2014 and inserted a few hand-drawn pictures of clothing designs and accessories. Her mind was lost in work and would have been for several more hours had her secretary not shown up at her door with news that her grandfather was on his way over. It was unusual for him to come to her, but she wasn't going to waist time complaining. As long as it wasn't news that her grandpa had decided to leave the company to her uncle, or that he was ill, she could handle it.
