The actual War RP will not begin until after the main soquili shop event is over; some time in April. However, the war will take place before/during some of the events that the Soquili Rebirth meta brings up. Generally speaking, the fire will come into play The war RP will take place in the main soquili era guild RP section, this thread is just for OOC plotting, discussion, etc. Everyone with a herdmember in the Thunderbird herd, Anju/Shadow herd, and Firestorm/Shinoma's family is invited to participate Sabin and Kamiki will be the "GMs" for the main storyline of the war. Backstory
This has been a war OOCly years in the development. Firestorm, Balrog's son to another mother, was outcast from the Thunderbird herd after he took a kalona for a mate. Refusing to discuss the matter, the hotheaded young stallion chose Shinoma over his father, harboring a suspicion that Stormwild, his step mother, has had it out for him since the beginning since she was not his real mother. And that Balrog, having grown old and complacent in his rich herdgrounds, was scared of a species even stronger than winds. When Firestorm and Shinoma had their first group of children, Firestorm's rankor grew, not able to raise his foals in the herdgrounds he felt he deserved - having once been the golden child of the Thunderbird herd. He tried to take back the herdgrounds, and failed miserably. Meanwhile, The Thunderbird herd has faced other enemies in the form of the deadly, manipulative skinwalker Kumiho and her servant, Cerberus. After a failed attempt to take Stormwild's newest clutch of baskets, she sought out Firestorm to rekindle his hatred towards his father's herd, and indirectly manipulate him to carry on her own vendetta. Firestorm recruited Anju's herd with some big consents to Taraxippus, the de-facto leader of the herd. War is now on the horizon, and the Thunderbird herd is none the wiser.

RULES OF WAR For the actual war RP, not this thread
The big RP will go in phases (See below) - once a new phase has started, please do not go back to an earlier one. If you missed one, you can include in a character's post their reflection on the earlier phase, but don't initiate any back-tracked action that would cause another character to have to react to it. Please only include one character in each post for clarity's sake (with the exception of familiars; you can include a bonded familiar along with their soquili's post if you prefer) When Writing an attack, just describe your character's set-up and intentions, Let the target of the attack describe how/if the blow lands For an example, see the fighting in This RP (Starting on page 2), ignoring the NPCs When posting, you only need to Quote-tag anyone who has a soquili that would be affected by your actions. If a Soquili is knocked unconscious or otherwise out of the fight, do not continue to attack them. ((Unless the owner is OK with character death in their form- if so, contact and discuss with them first)). They MAY however be captured IF they are OK with that in their form. If they flee, please leave them be. Beyond the time frames of the Phases and minimum time between posts for a given character (in certain phases), there is no posting order (too many people/soquili involved for that). Don't feel obligated to have each soquili make post(s) each phase. You're welcome to participate when you feel like it and/or have your soquili fade into the background Soquili are also allowed to run away during the battle, but that would be treated with IC consequences later If you have any questions, you an use this thread to talk OOCly, or PM Sabin and/or Kamiki

The Clash/fighting [April 20 - MAY 31] - Please wait at least 24 hours between posts with the same soquili to give RP partners time to respond/prevent people from being left behind. * If things are dragging too much, we may change this to an 8 or 12 hour delay. *Alternatively, if things are going too hectic and/or people aren't having time to post, this time period might be expanded.

Please post this form for each soquili that you want involved in the war. This isn't just for your benefit, but also helpful for other people that you play with/against/GMs for narrating the story, figuring out a gist of how your soquili would perform in a fight, etc.
If we do not hear from a player about a particular soquili, we will assume that that soquili is not participating/is off somewhere. We will not godmod any soquili.
You don't have to post for a soquili you don't want involved in the war.
You don't have to post a sign-up form for familiars. You can just write those in in the battle.
Legend:
Combat Effectiveness
0 - Abnormally ineffective - will not fight, even to defend oneself, or, is physically handicapped against fighting (foal, pacifist, in coma, etc) 1 - Ineffective - knows nothing of formal combat, but can swing their hooves around wildly/defend oneself 2 - Capable - not hopeless, but has no strong combat skills or strength. Will put up a decent fight 3 - Worthy Advisory - either basically trained in physical combat or impressive in raw ability 4 - Threat - Specifically trained in combat, or is exceptionally strong or dangerous 5 - Warrior - Fighting/Combat is a defining skill, or is impressively strong or dangerous due to supernatural ability or powers
* Soquili that have natural weapons (claws, teeth, spikes, etc) should add +1 to their ‘base’ score
Injury Severity
0 - unscathed - the Soquili escapes without any physical blows If you choose this option, please let us know how/why? Do they run like a coward? Hide during the battle? Etc 1 - Bruised - the Soquili is on the receiving end of a few blows, and may have bruises and scrapes, but no lasting combat damage or special healing needed 2 - Injured - the Soquili is on the receiving end of several hard blows. May have a concussion, deep cuts, bad bruises. May take a few days to heal and may require minimal medical treatment 3 - Beaten - the Soquili takes an intense beating from the battle. Bad lesions, broken bones, etc. No long-term permanent damage, but may take several weeks (and/or possibly the assistance of a unicorn or other healer) to fully heal and will probably have lasting scars or battle damage 4 - Ravaged - the Soquili gets beaten to near-death. While they will survive, they will not be fully healed for months (and/or possibly require the assistance of a unicorn or other healer) . Will have some kind of permanent damage to their body (more than just scars - more like a limp, busted wing, missing horns, etc) 5 - Death - this Soquili can be overcome in battle, and not recover. IC death to the Soquili cannot be reversed. If you choose this option and strongly prefer that it go down a particular way, let us know
