Born during a family conflict, Haruka was given to her aunt and grew up without the presence of her real parents. The conflict was caused by the family of Haruka's mother, that had a fame of giving birth to criminals. Haruka's father found that opinion to be completely mistaken and knew that those who had become criminals had cut off their ties with the family. Yet, that did not change their mind. The fact that they were having Haruka was even kept a secret for the duration of the pregnancy. However, a week after her birth, Haruka's mother disappeared, thought to be kidnapped by bandits. In reality, it was Haruka's paternal grandfather who schemed her disappearance. She was not killed, just forcefully sent to foreign lands. When Haruka's father found out about it, he left the baby Haruka with his sister and went after his wife. Ever since then he has gone missing, while Haruka was raised oblivious to those facts. She grew up thinking that her aunt was her actual mother and the patriarch of the family made it clear that she should never be told of the truth. |
