✯✯✯Introduction✯✯✯

xxxIf you're reading this, then it seems you're interested in roleplaying in DTI! You're about to walk into an experience that is completely unlike anything else you'll experience in the guild, and one of its most diversified and nearly unlimited aspects. You can play as your own tamer, raise your very own digimon, and make your very own partnerships with digimon you'll be digivolving as you post. With that in mind, though...there are some rules.

*Note{Important}:: Digivices and Digimon (In RP) will be given out after entering the Digital World, Don't include them in your tamer profile, thanks!

Follow Gaia TOS and Guild rules that may or may not be included in these.

Role-playing Rules

1. You can not use any Tamer, Digimon, or Character from any Digimon Season, Game, manga, ect. in plots without the RP Mod or Vice Captain permission, that includes all titled Digimon. If you are caught using a character from any of these, you will be given 1 warning. After that, you will be banned.

2. You must show respect to all other members. (No ignoring, annoying, begging or cursing other people. Even if they not good at RPing or if they are too good at Role Playing.)

3. If you're IC (In Character) and your character wishes to take or steal from another character, you must first either tell them via OOC (out of character) or via PM. This must be done before you post the action.

4. NO killing other players character, unless you have their permission. Evidence of the mutual agreement must be posted in the Killed Characters Topic.

5. The use of weapons in the RP is strongly prohibited. Things like small pocket knives and other such tools for survival are, however, allowed, but not for survival as in fighting.

6. You have to go through Customs to enter and leave the Digital World so no illegal substances like drugs or anything else that could be a danger to Humans or Digimon unless approved by the Customs agent (RP Mods)

7. DO NOT GOD-MOD! No one is above this rule, no mod, tamer, or member.

8. If you speak in OOC(Out Of Character) you must use ((,))

9. When RPing, it is suggested that you post in third person.

10. If you're using multiple Characters, identify which character is speaking by assigning a different color to each. And be consistent.

11. Do not use ** to perform actions. Please write literately. We don't expect much, just use "quotation marks" when your character is speaking, and leave action and other writing in normal text. For thoughts, and thinking dialog, use italics

12. No double posting with the same character in a group arc.

Forum Rules

1. Do not post topics in this forum without permission. Topics in this forum are Locations, not separated stories. I do not want to see, "New Digimon story! Accepting~Now!" Posted in this forum. Unique and Miscellaneous RPs, even if they are Digimon based, are not for this forum.

2. When Moving from one Location, to another, add at the end of your exit post, [[Somebody - Exit - To New Location]](If multiple people are exiting, all must be listed. Separated by comas)
If you are entering a new Location, add to the beginning of the entry post, [[Enter, Somebody, From Last Location]]

3. Last but not least, you must create a profile before you may RP in this part of the guild! Create one here, this is different than your tamer profile!

Digivolution Rules

1 You must own all digimon you use in the RP, as you unlock new partners place their guild art in your profile so we know who is on your registered team.If you would like to change out a partner please message a rp mod letting them know of the update. If the art is not placed in the profile itself, there is no way for me to know if you truly own the Digimon in the Guild. I will issue 1 warning, and if it is not added to over a reasonable amount of time, the profile will be deleted. (Note: I don't care if it's in your signature. It isn't hard. Put it in your profile anyway.)

2 Non-Guild Owned Digimon, cannot be used in an RP. If you are caught using a Digimon partner you have not acquired through the guild, you will be warned once, and if you continue to break this rule, you will be banned.

3 The exception to rule 2 are NPCs(Non-player-characters). Some examples would be a wild Digimon rampaging in a forest, or shop owner in Network City. These can be used freely, and do not require approval. However, NPCs, are not to be controlled as you would your Digimon partner. Keep that in mind.

✯✯✯Getting Started✯✯✯

So now you're probably wondering what you should be doing to get started. Below, I'll be making a pretty easy beginner's guide, giving you a step-by-step process on how to get started in the roleplaying forum!

1. Read the rules in the post above this one if you haven't already.

2. Create your RPCs profile here.

3. Decide on which Digimon you're going to start with. Make sure to include your digimon's art in your profile in the following format:

Digimon Name Here ->

4. Once your profile is complete, wait for an RP Moderator to accept it. In the meantime, you can make a posting format if you want, but it's not required. Completed profiles can be viewed here, along with your very own roleplaying card. Your roleplaying card shows what digimon you have in the roleplay, so it's very important that you display it at all times.

5. Once you get your RP card, it's recommended that you place it in your signature or you place it at the bottom of your posts in the roleplay. Just so people know what digimon you have.

6. Once your profile is accepted, and your roleplaying card is complete, you can jump into the roleplay!

7. Before you start the roleplay, though...make sure you read the rest of the rules in this thread! Otherwise, you might miss a rule, and that's awkward for everyone.

✯✯✯The Quest System✯✯✯

In order to advance further in the storyline, quests are required. Missions can come in one of two forms:

Moderator Quests:
Moderator Quests are intended to have an increased difficulty for an increased reward. Normally, Tamers are not allowed to partake in quests of two ranks higher than them or above. However, Moderator Quests are what's known as 'mob' quests. In a Mob Quest, you're able to participate in higher difficulties along with more experienced tamers to achieve victory for everyone. Moderator Quests usually come once every one to two weeks, and yield anywhere from 1.50x to 2.20x the EXP as a regular mission of the same rank. Basically...jump on these missions any chance you can get to optimize your EXP gain.

Tamer-Submitted Quests:
Tamers are also allowed to submit their own quests. They yield the regular EXP, but offer a much higher frequency if you're willing to put in the time and posts. You can request your own quests in here.

Quest Classifications

E-rank:
These are quests that literally any tamer could do. It may be something as simple as helping Babamon pick weeds out of her garden. Entry-level for those who don't yet seek a challenge. (1 day expected length)

D-rank:
Still nothing overly challenging. Maybe you're fighting a rookie-level digimon who stole a purse? Or perhaps you're battling for a special item. Either way, it's nothing that you're likely to have trouble with. (1-2 day expected length)

C-rank:
A little more difficult? Yes. These are the quests where you begin seeing difficulty, whether it be fighting more than one digimon at once, or being outclassed by your opponent. The tamer's life is still not in danger, but it will definitely take longer to complete. (2-3 day expected length)

B-rank:
Entering a cavern to battle a single, extremely powerful digimon? Taking on a horde of digimon on your own to protect fleeing digimon? These are the sort of missions that would qualify for B-rank. Though your life is still only in minute danger, it's still something, right? (3-4 day expected length)

A-rank:
Okay, now I'm getting freaked out. You want to journey across the Network Sea without a transport digimon? You mean we have to go on boat, and deal with whatever lives in this ocean...even MetalSeadramon? Fighting titles, multiple powerful digimon at once, etc...that is what takes the slot for A-rank. Most A-rank quests feature a handicap to the tamer that adds difficulty to the quest; in this case, it was the lack of a transport Digimon, forcing them to cross on a regular old boat. Your life is in danger. (4-5 day expected length)

S-rank:
You're insane. The only people that should ever take on these quests are either the strongest tamers of all time, or those who would throw down their lives for nothing. Journeying from corner to corner of the Digital World, battling countless digimon with unbelievable power--sometimes all at once--for the sake of an incredibly rare item, or in order to defeat one of the greatest villains the world has ever seen. Either way? You're either going to die, or emerge battered and famous. (7+ day expected length)

Quest Rewards

Who doesn't love getting rewarded, right? For completing quests, you're given EXP and--once you get enough EXP--rank-ups! We'll get to the rank ups later, but for now, let's look at what you get for completing each quest rank.

*Those who are in a Club will also earn GP (Leaders earn double)

E-rank: 10 EXP +0 GP
D-rank: 25 EXP +2 GP
C-rank: 65 EXP +4 GP
B-rank: 160 EXP +8 GP
A-rank: 400 EXP +16 GP
S-rank: 1000 EXP +32 GP

As you can see, the rewards increase dramatically from rank to rank. So your goal in the roleplay is simple; live with your friends, and become the best tamer you can!

*Note: Official Missions and Arcs do not have to follow the rules of how much EXP you get and can also allow lower ranked Tamers to do higher ranked missions.*

✯✯✯The Rank System✯✯✯

All that EXP you earned from doing quests comes right here: the Rank System. In the DTI roleplay, we feature a set of ranks that are parallel to the Digimon Dawn/Dusk Universe: Regular, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Legendary. I guess your next question might be, "How do I obtain these ranks?". Well, look no further.

Ranking Up

You may have noticed by now that our character ranks and our quest ranks look a little...different. To make things easier for everyone, here's a quick conversion chart for you to follow:

E = Regular
D = Bronze
C = Silver
B = Gold
A = Platinum
S = Legendary

With this fresh in your head, let's jump right into ranking up. Each rank requires a certain amount of experience to obtain. Each time you rank up, you'll receive certain benefits, which will be listed below.

Regular - Bronze = 50 EXP
Bronze - Silver = 180 EXP
Silver - Gold = 500 EXP
Gold - Platinum = 1300 EXP
Platinum - Legendary = 3300 EXP

If you look at the post above this one, where it details how much EXP each mission offers...you'll see a pattern. The system was designed so that--by doing five quests of your rank--you'll rank up. You can also rank up by doing two quests of the rank above yours. In order to prevent abuse, tamers may only perform quests up to one rank above theirs unless it is a Moderator's Mob Quest.

Rank Rewards

For each rank up, a tamer qualifies for a certain set of rewards. These bonuses are automatically unlocked for all of your digimon, meaning that you don't have to work towards that particular goal anymore. The ranks--and rewards for accomplishing each rank-up--are listed below.

Bronze:
- Armor Digivolution
-Spirit Evolution (on digimon)

Silver:
- Digi-Crests (Must be obtained in follow-up quest)
- Xros Digivolution (Other tamers must still be present)

Gold:
- Mega Digivolution (Unlocks Mega Digivolution for ALL Digimon)
-Biomerge
-Spirit Evolution (of tamer)

Platinum:
- Burst Mode/Blast Mode/
-Mode Change Digivolutions (alternate mega forms only, check digimon list if unsure)

Legendary:
- Super Ultimate Digivolution (For ALL Digimon, M^1 & M^2 forms)
- Final Xros (Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode)

Keep in mind, there are also some benefits that are not included in the direct ranking system; those being DNA Digivolution, and digivolution item questing. Those will be included in later posts.

✯✯✯Battle/Travel Rules✯✯✯

Obviously, a roleplay like this needs a couple of rules in order to function properly. There was a time in this guild where tamers could summon their entire rosters of digimon at once, causing an incredibly destructive rampage of armies of digimon across the guild. With these new rules, we hope to keep the abuse to a minimum while allowing freedom for creative battling.

Battle Rules

Each tamer can have a maximum roster of six digimon. In the beginning of your experiences as a roleplayer, your tamer is able to summon up to three of these digimon, and digivolve them up to their Ultimate level. In order to unlock extras--like Armor Digivolution, Mega Digivolution, DigiXros--you need to rank up and obtain these bonuses as a reward for doing so.

With this system in place, we hope to prevent tamers from becoming too powerful too quickly, but also to give them a lot of early freedom. With this in mind, our roster rules were created:

1. Tamers may have up to six digimon in their roster, with up to three of them out at once.

2. When you begin, you may digivolve your digimon as far as the Ultimate level. (Perfect for those that follow the original, Japanese terms)
-Each tamer will receive one extra power based on their starter digivice, but all other digivolution powers must be acquired via ranks.

3. When outside of battle(or traveling, which we'll get to in a little bit), your digimon must remain in Ultimate/Perfect form or lesser.

4. As you can see, our battle system is currently free-play--meaning that there are little to no limitations placed on it to encourage user freedom. This does not mean that we can't put limitations on it, so please use the freedom we've initially given wisely.

5. All forms of digivolution (excluding BioMerge) must be done one stage at a time and once per post.

Travel Rules

Like the battle rules, we don't feature much in the ways of limitation for traveling. However, there are some simple guidelines that you must follow when traversing the Digital World:

1. When in Major Cities--Network City, Factorial Town, etc--you may never go any higher than Champion Form unless you are traveling or battling.

2. Using Mega-level Digimon is acceptable for traveling, but only one out at a time and you must have acquired the ability to reach mega prior to using form.

3. When entering a new thread, you may not attack on the first post. This is to prevent cheap sneak-attacks with Mega level digimon.

4. Traveling must be done in accordance to the Digital World Map. There is no 'flying' to one location without posting flying over the areas leading up to it. This means you are required to make at least one post in every area that you would be passing through to get to your location.

5. Lastly, locations that are NPC inhabited--such as Mount Olympus, the home of the Olympus Twelve--are completely inaccessible by free-roaming roleplay. These locations may only be visited on quests, and typically ones of A or S-ranking.

✯✯✯Clarifications✯✯✯

- In order to use a Digimon that you do not have all of the Artwork for--say you won them in a contest in their Mega form--you must create a logical digivolution list using digimon you own. Each digimon must share the same attribute (Vaccine, Virus, or Data) and species (Digimon Families).

- Custom Digivolution methods do not increase the speed of digivolution. This is to prevent tamers using custom digivices to generate advantage against other tamers.

- Weapons of any sort are not allowed in any way, shape, form. This includes the use of items that would serve for survival purposes like flare guns or pocket knives. These are what your digimon are for.

- Contrary to popular belief, tamer abilities like crests and digi-souls are to amplify the powers of digimon, not humans. Anyone caught using such abilities for human amplification, will receive a warning followed by being banned from the RP thread. This is a digimon guild, not a One Piece or Dragon Ball Z guild.

- ALL titled digimon (contest/event won or acquired through digivolution) are treated as copies or replica of the Official Digimon of that species and are treated at the same power level as any non-titled digimon. You may opt to have conversation with them in a mission, but they are not to be treated as if you own them.
ex. If you won a Lucemon FM from a contest, it is not THE Lucemon FM of the RP thread, but an underpowered replica.

- In order to DNA digivolve with any one tamer, the two of you must complete a total of ten posts--five posts each--aligning your digisoul with the other individual. This allows you to use their half of the DNA digivolve without the other party being present. It is possible to perform this as a solo quest, seeing as how some of the members are no longer active. This requires seven posts, however.

- Digi-Modify Quest: If you do not have a D-Power Digivice and would like to use cards you must complete the Digi-Modify quest to receive the card scanner attachment. You must be a Silver Tamer to undertake this quest.
