It seems that every "announcement" I've gotten from Gaia has been completely centered around the cash shop to some degree.

You can block them, you know.
Underneath the avatar for whichever NPC is making the annoucement, there's a bar;
mouse over the arrow, click on the "ignore" button and you'll never hear from them again. c:

Ernya's pretty great and the staff have wonderful communication with the members. I also draw their biweekly comic and run their Twitter. dramallama
