He couldn't figure out how he'd gotten back to the gym and yet here he was.

But it didn't matter, because now that he was here, he might as well make good use of his time. Maybe this time he'd be able to achieve his goal and actually get stronger (unlikely) and do better (doubtful) and be a more confident person (laughable).

He tried to take a swing at a practice dummy, went too far, and wound up face down on the ground.

Piper was hyped to get to the gym. Second year stuff meant being cooler and stronger and stuff, but fighitng against Brenley was a laughable way to test that (though he did try his best, poor guy); one didn't fight nerdsssss to test their strength! So she was optimistic that she'd find someone to provide a challenge around there. Or if nothing else, she'd get a little training time.

The mage was about to pop in her eyePod earbuds when she saw someone smack the floor wit his face. That was . . . not the sort of opponent she needed, but she'd be damned if she didn't think the boil needed some tutoring.

Plus birdssss. BIRDSSSSSSS. She might have sparkled a little.

"Heeee-eeeeyyyyyyy~" Piper sangsong as she trotted over. Leaning over, she offered a hand to help pluck him up. "You look like you need some help."
